"Lovely cottage set in an amazing rural location."
Clean and comfortable throughout. Games room was a wonderful addition.

"Lovely cottage in a perfect location"

"A great property in a fantastic location within easy reach of a number of great beaches."

"Wonderful property in a fabulous quiet location."
Close enough to get around to visit places but quiet & private when needed. First class info provided both prior to visit and in cottage. Loved the AGA we made lovely casseroles! Photos don't do this cottage justice I wish I lived there. Our dog loved it and Simon left lots of logs for both fires as well as amazing welcome pack thank you it was so cosy! Springs are starting to go on one of the games room sofas but that's minor and probably due to everyone relaxing in there. Smart TV, games etc. A recliner would make it perfect and my hubbie has already decided where a hot tub would fit! I loved all the little nik-naks and charm. The place is fantastic and such good value. We visited in November and got lots of winter sunshine. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing it with us!

"Bod rhiw is a lovely home away from home."
The aga and barn made our stay so comfortable. Simon is so lovely and very accommodating. We’ve stayed here twice now and will definitely be back.

"What can i say except fabulous & Beautiful!"
!!! Simon the owner was brilliant, from the onset of our stay (to the end) was available, kind & very imformative of the surrounding areas. He was kind enough to let us have the keys earlier if we wanted & text us to say he was available if we needed anything. The cottage itself was quaint & beautiful and easy to find and very picturesque. Beautiful gardens for the dog to run wild in with an al fresco dining area and a barbeque. Inside, was just as beautiful and the games room - what a godsend for those rainy days. Bedrooms where lovely with nice comfy beds. The cottage was clean throughout and to be honest I cant find fault with it all. If anything & this is only small minute niggle was the bathroom was downstairs but this did not stop us having an enjoyable much needed restful holiday. Thank you Simon we will definately visit again.

"Absolutely fantastic place!"
We spent 2 weeks here and it wasn’t long enough, the owner has just thought of everything to make your stay here perfect in every way, the cottage is so well equipped (the best we’ve stayed in) and really feels like home, the views are are stunning and our 15 year old and 11 month old dogs absolutely loved it, so much room indoors and out, just a fantastic place to stay with so much to do in the area, JUST AMAZING!!

"The cottage and surroundings were lovely."
There was also a large games room. The large garden was great for the dogs. Simon had left milk, cheese and a few sweet treats, which were very welcome. A lovely place in a beautiful area.

"First visit to Bod Rhiw and we were totally impressed with everything!"
The cottage has everything anyone could possibly need or want and the gardens were perfect for our pooch. Only advice I would give which Simon (owner) told me was maybe have pooch on lead in grounds through gate. The reason for this is on the right there is only a grass bank no fence. Grass bank is high but if pooch determined! Despite that the main garden is large and secure. Enough space for a G S D We spent all our time in the games/ family room lots to entertain you plus when the log burner going in the evening, very cosy. We did complete 1000 piece jigsaw it was a bit of a challenge lol. It was nice just to take the time to do. Simon greeted us on arrival which made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend a stay.

"Cosy, homely, relaxed, appreciate the lack of ‘house rules’."
Nice to talk to the owner, this made it very personal. Good facilities for when the weather isn’t so kind. The area is unspoiled and still lovely. The garden and paddock were super for the dogs. Thank you
-
"The perfect place for us and our 2 spaniels."
Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location. We have been going to the same area for many years and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The owner was brilliant and kept us informed. Would highly recommend.
-
"Lovely cottage, with a fab games room and plenty of outside space for kids to run around in."
Very nice touch to find bara brith, tea, eggs, cheese, milk and a chilled bottle of fizz in the fridge! The owner kept in touch to make sure we were all ok and was very helpful, including lots of local info. We will definitely be back.
-
"Possibly the loveliest cottage we’ve ever stayed in!"
From the first contact from Simon to our departure, it was just superb! This cottage has it all. Such a beautiful setting, the cosiest cottage, with absolutely everything you need, gorgeous garden and home away from home, but better. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for our family, we enjoyed every minute.

"Bodrhiw was amazing!"
We spent the week exploring the surrounding areas and on our return spent the majority of our time in the barn and garden/paddock. Our dogs loved the extensive gardens and paddock and so did we. This house is ideally secluded, peaceful and an unbelievable sun trap! We our planning our return! Thank you to Simon and Kate!!

"We wanted a relaxing holiday and the property was perfect, we spent most of our evenings in the games room which is equip with everything we needed to keep us entertained, welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch, and Simon goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need in regards to information on everything from places to eat to local amenities, would most definitely visit again."

"We have been lucky enough to stay in lots of lovely holiday cottages over the years but this one is probably the best of them all."
The communication with the owners prior to our stay was unexpected but so useful. On arrival the Welsh welcome pack was such a delicious touch. Everything about the cottage was just fabulous - the garden and paddock, the log burners, the aga, the barn/awesome games’ room, the pebble dominoes set, the quirky mobile hanging in the barn, the bird feeders by the kitchen window, the stable door, the comfiest beds ever…. I could go on but I’m sure anyone reading this has got a good idea of how fantastic this cottage is. We hope to return.

"Absolutely beautiful well equipped cottage ."
The games room was like the cherry on the cake ! Hoping to return at a warmer time to fully enjoy the garden ! Most generous welcome pack and very helpful and friendly owner . Would definitely recommend

"Stunning cottage with amazing facilities."
The location is absolutely perfect for adventuring and seeing the north west of Wales. The owner was super friendly and helpful! Thank you so much

"Cottage was extremely comfortable and really didn't lack anything of home comfortable."
The games room was amazing. We've never stayed anywhere with a pool table before! Simon the owner was friendly and engaging and clearly took a lot of trouble to make guests comfortable. Only downside was the number of emails from Sykes Cottages with persistent reminders to keep to the rules of leaving the cottage clean and tidy. Felt a bit overwhelmed with instructions and ended up waking at 6am for a strict 9am departure just to make sure we had cleaned and tidied everything.

"Fabulous cottage…felt at home from the moment we walked in."
Super welcome basket and then suprises in the fridge too…very thoughtful. Lovely area to explore. Thank you for a great holiday that was well worth the wait !

"I’ve never stayed in a holiday cottage that I’ve felt so much at home before."
Absolutely loved every minute of it. Everything you could possibly think of that you’d need was there. The owner was fantastic from instructions, local information to the welcome basket and the information manual covered everything

"It was a home from home."
The cottage was equipped with everything that you could possible need for a relaxing and enjoyable break regardless of the weather. A lovely and rural location if you want to be away from it all and with plenty of space for the whole family (including dogs) to enjoy.
-
"It's easy to see the owners of Bod Rhiw have been Letting their cottage for some time."
Nothing you could need during your stay had been over looked, from the very generous welcome provisions to mega comfortable beds, log burners, a well equipped games room, and best of all the Aga. Everyone expects a mixed bag of weather in Wales, but it didn't seem to matter on the one day we were confined to the cottage, as there was so much to occupy us. A thoroughly relaxing great time had by us all.
-
"A great place to relax and unwind whatever the weather."
Easily accessible to numerous beach's and areas of beauty. Peaceful location. Fantastic cottage. Would definitely recommend it.
-
"An amazing cottage with everything available."
Simon left a fabulous welcome pack which was much appreciated. Great information pack explaining how everything works We visited a lot of local places and some incredible beaches. Husband and son played golf at Nefyn a few times. Games room was popular with our 15 yr old son in the evening's, Definitely a cottage we would love to visit again,
-
"This was a fantastic cottage equipped with everything you might need whilst away, and a little more."
Simon, the owner, met us on arrival and gave us plenty of local information and ideas for our stay; all over a cup of tea he made us after a long drive. There was the best welcome pack left that we had ever received and we will definitely return.
-
"Peace & quiet , lots of great walks in area"
-
"Having holidayed for many years in cottages with our dogs this has to be one of the most comfortable, well equipped cottages we’ve ever stayed in."
It is packed with books and games and the pool table is a bonus. The barn/games room is huge and with its cosy sofas and wood burner, we spent most evenings in this room. The aga in the kitchen meant the house was always warm and welcoming after a long coastal walk - of which there are many on the doorstep. We were warmly welcomed by Simon who has a good knowledge of the area and were given a lovely welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, butter, cheese, Welsh-cakes and Prosecco. There is also a large supply of logs and coal - it really does feel like a home rather than simply a holiday let which helps you relax from the minute you step into the house. The only thing I’d say - if I was being really picky - is it would benefit from having an additional bathroom upstairs but this wasn’t a massive issue and we will definitely visit again.

"The cottage has a lovely relaxed feel from the moment we arrived ."
We have had many cottage holidays ( normally twice per year ) with our beautiful vizsla girls , and I have to say Simon has given us the best welcome we have ever received .He made us a cup of tea when we arrived after a 6 hour journey and chatted to us about the local area , and best best places to walk with our girls , dog friendly local pubs etc . When we said we were going to Anglesey he suggest Newborough woods which then takes you onto the beach , it was brilliant. The cottage is well stocked with cooking utensils, which is great as we cook everyday. My hubby loved the Aga experience making a banana cake !! . The large enclosed garden is great when the dogs want out late at night without the worry of the road . Simon gave us a call at the start of our holiday just to check everything was ok and said just to call him if we needed to know anything, which is very reassuring. We are definitely going to have another holiday here , the location is good and the walks are fab for anyone with or without a dog . We spent all our time in the games room with the fire on , as it’s a bright cozy room .

"Loved this place, set up absolutely great."
The outdoor space is perfect for the kids and the facilities in the cottage are perfect. The shower was excellent, the kitchen great, comfy beds, all has a nice quality feel to it and the games room/barn an absolute bonus. Lovely stay.

"2nd visit to Bod Rhiw and it was again simply amazing !"
Great place to relax and enjoy the amazing beaches and countryside. Wonderful memories made again with our 4 children here. Plenty of space for everyone . The games room was well used by us all and the garden very much enjoyed( especially the swing ball ! ) Loved our visit to Bod Rhiw !
-
"The cottage well equipped, comfortable and warm with an ample supply of firewood, cleaning products and necessities ie."
Milk soap powder towels and bedding The games room was where we spent most of our holiday Additional fridge/freezer in garage was also very useful We would recommend this cottage highly

"Beautiful place, we loved the games room and wood burning stove in the evenings!"
Great location - so easy to reach so many beautiful beaches. Very good beds!
-
"When booking l didn't realise the bathroom was on the ground floor, l don't recall that it was mentioned."
Also I recall reading it was only a mile to the beach, but it doesn't state that the walk is quite difficult terrain.

"Beautiful cottage in a great location, Ideal for touring Wales or just chilling in the garden."

"Very well appointed property, great location"

"We visited in November, but the cottage remained exceptionally warm and cosy thanks to the Aga and 2 wonderful log burners."
The owner had left us with plenty of wood for the week. We spent our evening ( after a meal cooked on/ in the Aga with some extra help from the useful gas hob)playing pool ( badly) or darts ( even worse) or watching surround sound TV on the smart TV we could put our own Netflix account in. The sofas were large and comfortable and the big barn warm despite size. We spent our days walking the beautiful coastline with our 2 dogs. The scenery was stunning and especially vibrant in its autumn colours. The weather was exhilarating. Everything needed was in cottage. It was extremely well equipped. I understand the owner's have not had property long and are still working on it, but it did not detract from its comfort. 10/10 for cleanliness. The owner's were very helpful and communicated local information by text and checked we had arrived safely. The location is great. Peaceful and just isolated enough but within easy driving distance of facilities, beaches, shops. Would recommend the cottage for walkers, dog lovers, families with older children who would enjoy the games room, couples who want a relaxing, fun or romantic break.

"This cottage is perfect."
It has everything and more. Location is great with easy access to beaches and costal routes. Games room is superb with it's log burner, we spent most evenings in there. Would highly recommend this cottage - big thumbs up !!
-
"Bod rhiw is a beautiful cottage and Simon the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable and was very welcoming on arrival."
There are books and maps on hand which i used for local walks . The games room is a great space to socialise at the end of the day and my wife just loved cooking on the Aga . There are some great places to visit and they are all only 20 minutes drive at most. Abersoch is a lovely place with a nice beach , shops and pubs (nice chippy !) . Aberdaron is a very picturesque place with great coastal walks and just up the road is Morfa Nefyn where you can walk to Porth Dinllaen where there is a beautiful beach and a great pub , The cottage is a great place in a great location which i enjoyed immensely and will definately visit again.

"The write up says the beach is a 15 minutes walk."
Although to the edge of the cliff top is 15 minutes at a fast pace, we could not find what we considered a safe access down the cliff top to the beach. This was disappointing and misleading to imply that the beach was accessible by foot. We even drove to the beach, walked all the way along it, to see if we could find the access point back up the cliffs but there was nowhere which was not literally a vertical climb back up the cliff face; most of which was fenced off along the top.

"We had a wonderful holiday at Bod Rhiw, the cottage was comfortable and cosy in a wonderful location, the games room was fantastic and kept two teenage boys occupied when it rained, it was fully equipped with everything you could need."
The area is absolutely wonderful, stunning scenery and very peaceful, with beautiful beaches and lots to do in the area. We would thoroughly recommend Bod Rhiw.
