  • "The cottage was ideally suited to us, well equipped and clean."

We were very happy there in wonderful scenery. Friendly farmers. Some light bulbs needed changing, and some explanatory notes regarding heating and hot water would be useful. The double bed could do with updating. The Sykes listing is misleading, saying the property is detached, and not mentioning that it is part of two joined holiday lets. We booked this holiday cottage to be on our own, without adjoining neighbours.

  • "We were looking for somewhere remote and peaceful, but within easy travelling distance of potential days out and places to visit, and this was perfect."

Very roomy, and slightly quirky, but a comfortable, well equipped farmhouse that we all enjoyed during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

  • "The cottage was lovely really homely and inviting."

Felt at home straightaway once we were unpacked. It was in a lovely location. It was nice to be surrounded by the hills. The hosts were really friendly and responsive and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

It is a wonderful house and in the most wonderful location and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

  • "An excellent old house located in a perfect position, away from the crowds."

The house was warm, comfortable and well-equipped. The cleaning was immaculate. The property hosts live up the road and were incredibly helpful, friendly and also very supportive when we had a bit of a family crisis whilst away.

  • "Such a beautiful, clean, characterful property in a stunning quiet rural location away from the noise of the world."

With warm and friendly owners who are extremely helpful and welcoming. A must rent cottage if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of the city. Will be returning in the future. Thank you

The property

Tremadog 4 miles.

Ereiniog is a historical, detached farmhouse set near Tremadog amidst the breath-taking scenery of the Snowdonia National Park.

Built in 1554, this characterful property is an ideal choice for families and friends seeking a rural base with access to the many delights of Gwynedd.

In keeping with its age, in the centre of the lounge rests a ship’s keel from one of the ships deployed in the War of the Roses, above a rustic, stone-built inglenook fireplace housing a woodburning stove, making it a lovely spot to unwind each evening.

Climb the stairs to reach the bedrooms, hosting a double and a twin, each neutrally-presented enjoying views of the idyllic, surrounding countryside.

Enjoy a pamper in the bathroom, with a choice of an indulgent bath or a rejuvenating walk-in shower.

Downstairs, you will find a well-equipped kitchen, featuring exposed beams, microwave, hob, and a dishwasher, so there’s plenty on hand to assist with home-cooking.

The farmhouse has been well-prepared with much attention to detail and is ideal for a relaxing holiday for those wanting to explore the beautiful Welsh countryside or even fish in the well-stocked lake that rests at the head of the valley.

From the front door there are many footpaths for you to choose from if you fancy traversing the hills, and discrete slate workings.

Just four miles away lies the charming village of Tremadog, home to a pub and convenience store for grabbing the essentials, while neighbouring Porthmadog is filled with a greater choice of amenities, including an eclectic mix of independent shops, galleries, restaurants, pubs, and tea rooms.

Some of North Wales best attractions aren’t far from your lovely new home either, such as the world famous Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland steam railways, and just a couple of miles away, the Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion can be found.

Those outdoor enthusiasts will be drawn to the many wonders of the Snowdonia National Park, where you can take on the famous, awe-inspiring Snowdon Peak or even explore the underground mines at Zip World Llechwedd.

A charming adventure at Ereiniog awaits during your next visit to North Wales.
