  • "We’ve stayed in over 20 Menai cottages and Stabal Bach was the warmest and most comfortable one."

We felt really at home there. The owner called and asked if everything was okay and did we need anything. That’s the first time this has happened and it was great that the owner cared enough about our comfort. The only thing that bothered us was the step into the property and the step out onto the balcony. I’m very mobile and still found it difficult to manoeuvre up and down. These steps need to made safer as soon as possible please.

  • "We had a great week at Stabal Bach."

Lovely peaceful location, well equipped and warm with comfortable beds and great shower (so important!) and suitable for 4 adults. Good base for visiting the peninsula and Eryri national park. Short walk into town - great roast dinner at the Prince of Wales. We were lucky with the weather - for October- so could explore the fantastic beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. Glad that you enjoyed yourself. Welcome back any time. Property Owner

  • "Comfortable and has all the necessities required for a holiday."

Though on a working farm was quiet and peaceful. The walk to Criccieth was ~10-15mins. There are a couple of friendly pubs and restaurants. Particularly enjoyed the tapas at Bwyty 51. Dylan’s on the beach was very good, though a little pricey. A great base to explore the area, after the walks on the beach, along the coast and the castle.

Glad that you enjoyed your stay and had good weather all week Property Owner

  • "A really lovely clean & comfortable house in a quiet but convenient spot with friendly neighbours!"

Great to be able to speak in Welsh and for information to be provided in Welsh too, much appreciated. We loved the sheltered sunny balcony and fabulous shower especially! The only things that could make it even better would be a couple of hand towels, for kitchen & bathroom, a full length mirror and an extra lamp in the living room. Diolch am wyliau hyfryd!

  • "We've just had a week at Stabal Bach, and it was excellent, one of the best cottages we've stayed in,very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our week."

The cottage is in a quiet location, close to the owner's farm with plenty of parking, the owner spoke to us a couple of times to check everything was OK, very nice and friendly but not intrusive. The location means the cottage is well placed for visiting a number of the attractions in north Wales. We visited the Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon, Portmeirion, Penrhyn Castle, Plas Newydd and Llanberis National Slate Mining Museum, which are all within an easy drive. Criccieth is only about 1.5 miles away with a few pubs and take-aways and Porthmadog is about a 15 minute drive away. We also visited Pwllheli one evening where there are also lots of pubs, restaurants etc if you prefer to eat out. This is a cottage which I'd have no hesitation to recommend and would definitely book again if we're visiting this area.

  • "Beautiful and well equipped upside down holiday cottage."

The balcony makes the most of its view out towards the Bay and was a peaceful spot to relax to watch the sun come up, go down or at any other time of day. Close to Criccieth for some local shops and not far from either Porthmadog or Pwellhi for a supermarket. Lots to see and do within a short drive, so a good location for exploring the area. We had a lovely relaxing week at this little cottage.

Lovely location, peaceful setting. Spotlessly clean and well equipped The only thing missing was a towel rail in the bathroom. Good power in the shower. So good to park right outside and not have to worry about finding a parking space.
