  • "We enjoyed our stay !"

The main problem was that neither bathroom showers were working properly. We could not get one of them to work. The other one was extremely hot and we could not turn the heat down to a reasonable level. We would certainly come again if the showers were working

The shower door was ver small that only slim people could get in. The water could not be adjusted. The strip lights did not work also the cooker hud light did not work. The seating was uncomfortable and after this stay we my not be using you again.

I think we would have liked to have met our host at least once during our stay.other properties we have stayed at have had a pack with things to do places to eat etc, just lastly the garden area needed a rethink maybe cut back the trees and bushes to make the most of the afternoon sunshine.

  • "We loved out stay at Little Dingle, it was warm, clean and comfortable."

There were just a couple of things on the downside; the lack of large mirrors, the mirrors in the cottage comprised of one in each of the bathrooms in which I could only see my head (I'm 5' 2" ), there was a shaving \make up mirror in the bedrooms but larger mirrors could easily be fixed to the large cupboard doors in both bedrooms. Also the shower doorways are very narrow, anyone of a larger build would find it difficult to get in or out. Apart from that I would recommend Little Dingle.

  • "The muffins, tea and milk were much appreciated on arrival."

Sadly the busy A49 on one side, the railway on the other and wood yard next door were not mentioned at the time of booking which made this not the most peaceful place we have ever stayed. The beds were lovely and comfortable. Although the living room and kitchen were tiny, the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The bathrooms were ok, however the shower in the double room despite being mentioned in numerous reviews still remains dangerously hot! A couple of bulbs could also do with being replaced in the over mirror lights. Parking is plentiful. However, the garden is not ideal for a young family-all gravel and uneven paving but ok for sitting out in the sunshine. Have stayed in a number of holiday cottages before and felt the local information, leaflets, etc was rather limited here. Warm and cosy. Two bathrooms were a great asset. Two good size bedrooms. Lounge a bit small for four people. But overall a nice cottage. Cleaning lady was a great help for us. Nothing too much trouble. We wanted to book again but found out it was up for sale. If only I could afford it .

  • "On the whole, The Little Dingle is in a good location for exploring this area of Shropshire and generally had everything we needed to self-cater."

We found it difficult to get through the small opening into the shower and it is very difficult to turn the tap to make the water cooler in one of the showers. We found the beds too firm, but this is probably a personal preference.

  • "Loved the look of The Little Dingle when we arrived, was very cute & off road which was great."

Once we got our belongings in & started to unload there was a few things noticed. No liners were in the bins in the bedrooms & bathrooms, the bin in the bedroom off the kitchen had hairs & nail clippings in it! The microwave & fridge looked like it hadn't been wiped out. There were many dead insects about too.The towel rail in the bathroom(off the kitchen kept falling off,we fixed it simply, also the shower was very hard to use in that room, water was so hot & adjusting it was hard work) there were no bath mats in either showers which made them a little slippery. Would of liked to of seen some cleaning supplies (l did take some along with me) unfortunately every time we had the back door open for evening air we were over run by huge hornets, moths & many other flying insects, maybe a fly curtain up at the door could prevent against this. We left two days early of the holiday sadly as my friend suffers with Parkinsons disease, & he found it too slippery in the shower without a mat. I don't like leaving a negative feedback but feel l have to on this occasion. The cottage is lovely, loved the beds, they were very comfortable, bedding was fab, towels too but l feel a bit more of a clean overall would of been good

Some salt and pepper in the cupboard would be good and some kitchen and bathroom cleaner. It was very convenient to be able to park right by the front door. We enjoyed evening meals in two local pubs in Little Stretton and All Stretton and visited Much Wenlock which is a lovely old town and the Long Mynd which was very impressive. As we only wanted a short break we only stayed for three nights, but hope to come again for longer.

  • "The cottage was was very well equipped with high quality goods and excellent bedding."

The bedrooms were also top quality. The only thing needed is a proper good sized mirror above the dressing table instead of just a small makeup mirror. Also mirror in bathroom to high (not everybody is tall). Entrance to the property is difficult as it is not easy to see and it’s off the very fast and busy A49. Didn’t see the owners of the cottage, would have been nice to have a “hello” as they lived next door. Back step needs cementing as it wobbles and showers while being very good are extremely slippery! On the whole the cottage was excellent and well located and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

  • "Very nice accommodation."

Two good sized bedrooms. Shower in one bedroom was excellent (we didn't try the other one). Nice small area to sit out at the back with sunshade umbrella to go with the table. Cottage is on a site with a larger property (also a holiday let). Very large area for parking. Church Stretton is a very nice little town - Berry's cafe is excellent as is the Indian restaurant. We also visited Ludlow (very interesting castle) and Much Wenlock (bustling but relaxed). Excellent walks in the area.

Managed to see most of Shropshire which is beautiful. Unfortunately there was a snail on the roof of the bedroom when we arrived and had been there for a long time. Also the main shower was far too hot and we could not get the temp down. Finally there was no warning that the train line ran past the bottom of the garden! But we did enjoy our stay and the cottage facilities were lovely.

However the front room and kitchen are both small and basic. Disappointed to find the cottage was not in the village but at the side of the busy A49 with a very noisy timber mill next door. Unable to go for walks without using the car first as there is no footpath. Also trains run behind the garden.

Unfortunately the design means the lounge & kitchen/diner are very small especially if it’s 4 adults or 2+ 2 teenagers. Also it’s regrettable that there is no footpath for approx 400m alongside the dangerous A49 down to the village bus-stop & pub.
