  • "Loved the property and have already booked again for next year ."

Views were lovely and surrounding area very peaceful. One small niggle is that the settee and chair in the lounge is very low and is difficult to get up from and I did find that this exacerbated my lower back pain through the week. Also there was no hand wash in the upstairs bathrooms . I would definitely recommend this property to others , well situated, great outdoor area and a well equipped kitchen

It is the perfect holiday home for us.

  • "Beautiful house, that was comfortable, clean and well equipped."

We were very happy in the holiday accomodation but there is a couple of suggestions for improvement (if I am nit picking); window in upper bedroom did not lock, downstairs double room could do with a paint refresh and the property could do with a clothes horse to dry clothes inside in wet weather. There is a really modern washing machine, which was well received, but struggled to dry clothes. We would recommend Min Y Nant and would love to revisit in the future.

  • "House was fine but being pensioners we did struggle with entrance steps."

Outside barbecue was not cleaned ready for use,, other than that eveything was fine and we enjoyed our stay at Min y nant. It might be worth mentioning in listing that it is a steep walk back from the village to the property and we always took the car down.

Spacious open plan lounge with kitchen and dining area leading out to a patio and enclosed garden. Lovely views of the surrounding area and of the mountains in the distance. Good location, within a short drive of the town centre and a dog friendly sandy beach. Would definitely recommend this property.

  • "Our stay was excellent."

The property was a real home from home . It had everything we needed and more . The beds were comfortable and aided a good nights sleep. The views from the cottage were amazing and it was only a 10 minute walk to Abersoch beach. The owner Adam was a good host and dealt with issues raised immediately. Not to sound picky but to make this property 5 Star ⭐️ plus I think that towels should be provided also TV’s in the bedrooms . We would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

  • "Outstanding home."

Spotlessly clean, loads of space and location was perfect for walking in and out the village. Would highly recommend. If I really had to pick fault then there was a few very minor things. The microwave is impossible to use, so gave up!! There was no serving bowls when cooking for multiple people i.e. salad dish, large pasta dish, nothing for large amounts of food. And last thing, it could do with a couple of comfortable sun loungers in the garden, we were wanting to sunbathe and had to lie on the floor. But like I say these are very minor. Thank you for welcoming us into your home.

Just a few points.microwave didn't work. Information said there were two TVs but there was only one. Also it said there was sky TV but it was inaccessible . Finally it would have nice to have had a hairdryer. Apart from this it's a perfect place to stay very comfortable and very well equipped. Thank you

  • "The holiday home was absolutely gorgeous and a lot of thought had been put into the presentation and how the home is kitted out such as kitchen equipment, garden furniture and barbecue."

The bathrooms were clean, spacious and well-appointed. All the room sizes are generous. The sofas are soft and there is plenty of space but unfortunately didn't suit my husband and I who need support for our backs - we were able to adapt them with cushions from the garden furniture which helped. I would also consider having a rail up to the front door - as there are 3 quite steep steps. That being said it is a fabulous home, we enjoyed our stay, were blessed with good weather and had a very full week.

Downstairs is open plan and works well. The kitchen is well equipped. The large sofa and chair in lounge is comfortable but low. Bathrooms upstairs are a good size and clean. The outside area at the back is a good size with table and chairs…a couple of plush sun beds would be nice though. Weather was brilliant while we were there and would definitely stay again!!

  • "Notwithstanding the issues we had with the property it is well positioned and in the right circumstances would be good."

2 sets of major blinds advised to us as broken on the way to the property did NOT get repaired as expected during our stay. The maintenance guys could not sort. The owner advised he would sort it - they stayed broken for the visit. Heating did not work for first 36 hours. Owner fixed it but the thermostat is tricky and luck is needed to adjust / switch the heating on. The building work started on the 3 day of our visit. Next door had a new drive way out in - not advised pre booking. Apparently this happens and we are simply unlucky it was our week! The reality was the property was unusable for 5 days of our visit between 8am the start and about 5.30 the builders end point. The owner has offered us 10% off the next time we book as compensation - we assumed there was a level of irony here. Sykes were no help - their mate since guy could not fix issues and washed their hands of anything that happened outside the property. Good luck with any one’s week here as if you have an “unlucky” week like is neither the owner or Sykes seemingly care.

  • "This is our second stay at Min Y Nant."

We love the position, views and the short 10 minute stroll to the beach. It’s only 3 minutes to the Spa supermarket and 10 to 15 minutes to the centre of Abersoch where there are numerous places to eat and drink most being dog friendly. The house is spacious, light, and well maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery, glass wear and a broad range of utensils and cookware. Super bosh dishwasher and a washing machine. The open plan lounge and kitchen is delightful, great for the whole family. The beds are amazingly comfortable and bedrooms are tastefully decorated. Min Y Nant is clearly a well loved family holiday home and the owners have taken great care to establish a seaside theme with very tasteful local paintings, photos and ornaments reminding you that you are on holiday and right by the sea! We were lucky with our weather in October making the most of the coastal and headland walks! A wonderful stay thank you!

We are so pleased to hear that you had a wonderful stay and good weather! Thank you for taking the time to leave such comprehensive and thorough feedback. The beds were all replaced last year and it is great to hear you found them comfortable. We hope you will be able to visit again soon! Property Owner

  • "A very well-appointed property."

The open plan ground floor layout works well with great views to the front. For some groups having two bedrooms on the ground floor and the bathroom upstairs may prove a bit awkward. The front steps are steep so a definite no-no for the disabled or infirm. The patio at the back is enclosed and laid with plastic turf - great for kids to play on. However, the road running just behind the rear boundary is a bit noisy. All said, it's a great base for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula. I would recommend the Sun pub a mile further out of town on the road on which you arrived if you want a more traditional pub environment with good food and a garden. You also avoid the walk/climb back up from the town as parking there is limited

Thank you for your feedback. The new hedge at the back is growing and offering more privacy this year, we are sorry you found it noisy last year. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the fantastic views over the front. Property Owner

  • "A lovely cottage but we were expecting the bathroom shared by the two downstairs bedrooms to also be downstairs."

Sadly it was not which meant I was not able to have a shower due to the difficulty of walking up and down stairs , the bannister being too wide to give me the support needed. Also no bath mat and a smooth floor which was slippy when wet..However the lounge, dining and kitchen area were really nice, very well stocked and so pleasant and convenient to live in. The outside area was wonderful for the dog and we loved it too. We found that it was a mile to the beach, not the 0.5 mile stated and it would have been helpful if we had been told how hilly it was. We did, however, have a very enjoyable holiday.

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the garden and lounge/dining/kitchen area. The astroturf was put down this season. I am sorry you were not aware that both bathrooms were upstairs making access for you difficult. Property Owner

The house was everything we expected, the weather was good for our walking etc. Our only criticism of the house was that towels and tea towels are not provided. We knew this in advance so it wasn't a problem, but we did feel that a relatively expensive property like this should provide them.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
