  • "Excellent property."

Great location and loved listening to running water outside my room at night so relaxing. Bedrooms perfect & Bathrooms perfect. Clean bedding, towels and comfy beds. Drying room ideal as we had a wet day walking and plenty of appliances to keep things clean and dry. Kitchen ideal and had everything we needed. Dining space - excellent for the meal we had at the property Lounge - excellent, 3 very comfy sofas, good tv, log burner, wifi etc..... Bottle of wine and crisps left out for us on arrival - nice touch especially after 6 hours drive from Somerset. Check lightbulbs as a few did not work (did not affect stay but I know some like to complain!) Weather was not conducive to sitting outside but in summer a good bbq and patio area.

Thank you for taking the time to feed back. It really does mean a lot to us. The sound of the stream is very restful and is one of the reasons we fell in love with our Mill. Thank you for noting the bulbs we will do an audit and sort. Thank you again . Property Owner

  • "This is a fabulously equiped cottage with everything we could have needed in the kitchen and even little smellies in the bathrooms."

The lights and heating were left on for us so it felt warm and inviting when we arrived on a cold October evening. The property has been beautifully decorated and furnished and felt like a real home from.home. its in a great rural location, quiet except for the sounds of the stream running by. You coukd have been miles from civilisation when actually you are only 2 mins from the main road and access to plenty of places to visit, eat and things to do. A previous review said they couldn't work out how to turn the TV on and we would agree that its not too obvious and if you aren't confident it would be difficult and some written instructions would be good. Our only tiny criticism would be that from information provided, we had expected to be able to start a fire on the first night without having to bring anything but all there was was a log that was too big for the stove and newspapers. No kindling. So on our first night we had to go out to find logs and kindling. Otherwise, this is a great property and we would highly recommend. Thank you

Thank you for your taking time to provide a review and your positive words. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our very special location. We note your comments about the fire wood and tv instructions and will take steps to address . Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back perhaps in the future . • "Absolutely super cottage."

Very thoughtful welcome & a very helpful host. The rooms were really clean and the spacious property has been restored to a really high standard. The fenced in outside space was ideal for my parents dog & some time in the sun. Really happy with my booking and I would certainly return. Thank you

  • "A fantastic location for us - so peaceful and quiet, only barely diminished by the occasional passage of traffic."

We could not fault the cottage itself. Just two small 'niggles': 1. The TV was not working - reported by phone (message); although message obviously received (returned missed call), no further response. 2. The welcome pack could use an update - inter alia, remove contradictory info. re 'garbage' and 'location of outside cushions'. In spite of these, we would definitely stay again!

Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back. We received your message regarding the tv and checked the signal strength. This was working. We then followed up with a call which unfortunately went to your voice mail. We did leave detailed instructions on how to turn on the tv before we sent out engineer . As we received no further contact we assumed you had established how to turn on the tv. Apologies if this was not the case. We will review the detail in the welcome back and the notes you have made and also consider adding detailed instructions of how to switch on the tv. Property Owner

  • "Firstly this cottage is in a absolutely stunning location, simply beautiful."

The cottage itself has been lovely of restored by the owner and the attention to the finishes inside show how much effort has been taken with the restoration. Sadly we had a few issues with the cottage which were not resolved whilst we were staying there. On arrival the cottage smelt musty and was very cold, we were freezing and the 2 large radiators in the large lounge were not working properly, which made the downstairs very cold to sit in. We had to keep the hearing on and the fire going for 24hrs to warm the house through. There was also a lot of surface dust and dead flies in the property. I suspect it hadn’t not been used since the previous customers and had been cleaned but had sat unused for a few weeks, hence it feeling cold, musty, surface dust and flies. The house really is a beautiful little gem but the oversight on the few issues we experienced let it down slightly, which is a shame. We did message the number on t he email but never got a reply. I’m sure the summer months would be wonderful stay without the heating/cold issues and regular cleaning turn arounds would make a perfect little holiday home.

Thank you for your positive comments relating to the our little gem and its location. We are very privileged to own this unique building and are glad you feel the same. We are a newly listed property and we are working on how to manage shorter stays with our cleaning partners . Property Owner

Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
