"Situated in the perfect location."
Nice to come back to after a day out. Really good views.
-
"Lovely location."
Beautifully maintained cottage centrally placed for trips to Porthmadog, Criccieth, Harlech and Barmouth. Lovely owner who couldn't have been more welcoming. The Ship Aground is a lovely pub with friendly people. Great place for a brilliant week away in beautiful Wales.

"This is our third stay here, but after a gap of six years."
It is still the same, welcoming, clean and ideally situated for a relaxing holiday. Nothing is too much trouble for Menna the owner, fresh cream scones left ready for our arrival and a phone call to check everything is ok. Dog friendly and plenty of walks available down to the estuary with views across to Portmeirion. Highly recommended.

"A lovely cottage, we stayed for a week with our two girls (both under 2) and they loved it."
So many nice views and places to visit. The owner is a lovely lady. We throughly enjoyed our holiday and stay :).
-
"A lovely little cottage/bungalow with a fabulous view."
Clean, comfortable with plenty of room. Ideally situated to explore the local area. Host was fab too, nothing was too much trouble.
-
"Very clean and tidy bungalow however main road was near property which carried noisy traffic from the very early hours until late evening."
Road was not visible or mentioned in listing advert.
-
"This property is very homely, nice comfy beds and plenty of equipment."
Everything you need is on hand. We couldn't get the TV to work so we contacted Mrs Evans and she was really helpful so we were able to watch the Rugby. The only down side if you have mobility issues would be it is on a very steep hill but of course this has a silver lining the view is great. Thanks for the lovely cake Meena and it was a pleasure meeting you.

"Beautiful cottage in an idyllic spot."
Stunning views including that of Portmeirion across the estuary. Plenty to do within easy reach, such as previously mentioned Portmeirion, Ffestiniog steam trains, Mt Snowdon (recommend early booking for funicular), Greenwood adventures, Harlech beach, slate caverns and lovely walks taking in forests, lakes, mountains, sand dunes and waterfalls. Cosy cottage with fresh, airy bedrooms and comfy sitting room. Warm heater if needed (central heating if v cold)! Dining room too. Parking for a few cars. Well-kept outdoor space behind cottage, for outdoor dining, children to play in and adults to sit and take in the sunset on a balmy evening. Would definitely visit again! ❤️

"I spoke to the lady before I left we met when we arrived and was very welcoming."
I had a fall nothing against the premises I was playing football with my dog. I finished up in Bangor Hospital for twenty four hours with a fractured Pelvis. Having a very nice holiday until then. Thank you Rosemary

"Lovely private bungalow, today and clean, however double bed was not great very wobbly and creaky, could definitely do with investing in new bed."
Lovely village, with great views, however bungalow looks out onto busy rd, so noise can vary, personally it didn't bother us to much, not as much as the uncomfortable bed. Also dishwasher wasn't working whilst we were there, not a massive problem for us, but would have been nice to know beforehand. Overall a plesant stay, I would book again if new bed was purchased, maybe invest in a king size bed for extra comfort. Love the fact that this house has a small chest freezer as well as small table top freezer in dining room. Comfortable lounge area, and we'll thought out kitchen, shower is also lovely.

Very comfortable and warm house with lots of lovely touches .Highly recommended. Many thanks

"As a retired couple we picked this cottage for peace and quiet, the view and hopefully a lovely garden to relax in, eat and drink."
To read a book, to rest, listen to the birds and wildlife. Sadly, nothing in the listings/pictures mentioned that the cottage was right by the busy main road leading to and from the main towns. We could not sit out in the vast beautiful garden and admire the view, because of the noise. My partner 70, does not enjoy driving, but we felt forced out to find peace and quiet. Only to find many of the town's restaurants and cafes closed or not serving food. Very disappointed and although the hospitality from the owner was a lovely welcome it didn't make up for our hardship. Our dog loved it. If he could holiday alone, he would be back next year. Both feeling a little depressed actually. J & E. Lancashire

"We had an amazing time."
The cottage is situated in a really beautiful and peaceful location with stunning views over the estuary and Portmeirion. North Wales and Snowdonia is absolutely beautiful. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped with everything you need. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for a lovely holiday

"I had a great week at Tirionfa."
The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable and as described on the website. The Welsh cakes, butter, fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee available on arrival was very welcoming. The owner returned my call quickly on arrival. I met her son later in the week who was great to chat to about farming. As well as a visitor book, the cottage provides really helpful details of amenities, suggestions and directions of places to visit. The village pub is friendly and welcoming. There is a Spa, chip shop, and other outlets in the next village. The area is friendly and I felt "at home" - a big thank you to everyone I met for being so welcoming. There were plenty of activities such as the steam train in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle and the beach which are dog and family friendly. I can certainly recommend Tirionfa as a super base for a memorable holiday.
-
"A nice property, well situated and readily accessible."
The cottage was clean, the facilities were good (decently equipped kitchen, good TV, nice shower), and the beds were comfortable. Views across the estuary are beautiful, and there was a nice cream tea to welcome us. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.
-
"Fantastic holiday home, Owner was super helpful and on hand if we had a problem and sorted straight away."
Lovely comfort home. Great location for all the walks, places to see and go out to, Harlech beach is amazing and the Lobster Cafte on the sea front is a fantastic place to go, and not expensive.
-
"Great location with fantastic views over estuary and Portmeirion."
Everything we needed was there. Beautifully decorated and really comfortable. Lovely touch was the scones with butter, clotted cream and jam plus milk in the fridge which we really enjoyed. Also vase of fresh flowers. Thank you
-
"The property was in a great location with picturesque views."
It was very easy to reach Harlech Castle 10 mins away and most other sights were 30-40 mins drive. The property itself was fine, everything worked although the dishwasher, cooker and shower needs updating.
-
"Stayed at Tirionfa for 3 nights, the cottage is exceptionally clean, very beautiful, one of the best cottages we've stayed in, with the added bonus of spectacular scenery."
We will definitely love to stay here again.
-

"Excellent as always."
A lovely cottage in a perfect location. Many thanks.

"The cottage was beautiful, well maintained and had everything you would need for a good holiday."
Highly recommended.

"A massive issue for us was the the departure time of 9am on the final day."
Until we arrived, it was always stated as 10am (and continued to be on the Sykes website during our stay). With our family dynamic, there was no way we could be ready to depart by 9am so we needed to leave the afternoon before. This meant we lost a chunk of our holiday which was very unfortunate. If we had known about the 9am departure time, we'd have never booked the cottage. Aside from that, it's a nice cottage in a lovely part of Wales. The only other negative was the double bed which seemed fragile and many of the slats moved freely underneath. It was hard to get a good night's sleep!
-
"Brilliantly situated to visit so many places Great garden for the dog Would visit again"

"The cottage was very easy to book and the description was completely accurate."
This is an exceptionally well appointed and comfortable cottage, with everything you could need and in a great location for enjoying Snowdonia and the beautiful West Wales coastline.
-
"A good centre to explore other areas."
Just what we wanted, buses and a train station in the village. Even if the weather is poor the bungalow is warm, it is now fully booked until October and well deserving of a high rating.
-
"The cottage was spotless, so we felt completely relaxed."
I would recommend Tirionfa to any family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Double thumbs up!
-
"Tirionfa is clean and comfortable with everything needed for a good holiday."
Mrs Evans ensures we have everything available. The views from the front windows are amazing and the bungalow is situated in a prime position for reaching any area in Snowdonia. We’ve stayed here many times and will be returning.

"The owner is very friendly and helpful."
The cottage is beautiful with gorgeous views across to the harbour at Portmeirion. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable everything you could need was supplied.Really appreciated the welcoming Welsh cakes and fresh flowers. Grounds around the property were well tended. What more can I say it was perfect.
-
"We had the best stay in this lovely clean and cosy bungalow."
Facilities exceeded expectations, with everything you could need in the kitchen. Views across the estuary to Portmeirion are amazing and the deciding factor when we booked, and we were not disappointed. Mrs Evan's Welsh cakes on arrival were also a lovely and welcomed touch. Have already recommended to a friend, who wants to visit the area. And we will look to booking again next year.
-
"On arriving at our cottage at evening time we were grateful to find heating and lights were on , and lovely welch cakes , also received phone call from landowner to see if we had arrived safely."
the cottage was very homely and suited our disabled parents , all facilities we needed were there ie towels and a well stocked kitchen. the view across the bay were stunning seeing portmeirion, 10 minutes down the road was harlech which was lovely for coffee and cake! my parents now in there 80s love the memories of driving on black rock sands and visited many past holiday places which brought back happy memories the cottage is suitable for young and old alike and we will be revisiting in the future. many thanks the snowden family

Wonderful beaches, castles, waterfalls, mountains and steam trains. And a home from home to come back to. What more could you want. A fairyland in Portmerion. The children were so excited and the adults rested and relaxed.

"Bungalow is lovely comfotable."
And spotless. Very central to lots of walks.castles.snowdonia.harlech and is lovely. Only one small problem the tv was limited to just 4 channels. My husband likes to relax with tv after a day of walking. We would certainly go again.

"Beautiful cottage, a real home from home."
Great location with gorgeous views of Port Merion. It was lovely that the owner was there to greet us on arrival with the kettle boiled and a plate a welsh cakes. Unfortunately our weather was dreadful, but it didn’t matter as it was lovely to get back to a warm and cosy cottage.

"Unexpected bonus was cake, milk, everything needed for a well earned cup of tea after a very long journey."
Fresh flowers very welcome. Everything that was needed was provided. Cottage was well furnished and very clean. Weather very poor for first half of the week and then it picked up but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tirionfa.

-
"Superb views."
Handily situated for Porthmadog. Pet friendly and our blind springer spaniel thoroughly enjoyed roaming the garden in complete safety. Great welcome from owner who is very helpful and responded quickly to any queries. Our second stay and all being well will not be our last. A lovely and refreshing break.
-
"Beautiful cottage, the best yet that I have stayed in."
As far as I and my family are concerned it was perfect for our needs. A lovely greeting by the owner who also had prepared Welsh Cakes and had the kettle ready for a cup of tea after our journey. The cottage was in a lovely setting looking across the estuary to Portmerion. However, the weather was awful which we had not expected, very misty and heavy rain which was disappointing. The Ship Aground in the village served very well prepared meals after 6 pm but not open during the day for lunch. We found it difficult to find somewhere for meal, it was mainly snack type meals. Kerfoots in Porthmadog was about the best for lunchtime eating. Unfortunately because of circumstances beyond our control, we had to come home on the Thursday which was a huge disappointment as we had been very comfortable in this beautiful bungalow.
-
"Excellent cottage, very clean and comfortable with everything you could need to have an enjoyable stay."
Lovely warm welcome from owner with welsh cakes, fresh milk and even the kettle boiling ready for a cuppa after a 6 hour journey. Situated perfectly for Porthmadog and along the coastal path to Barmouth. The views of Portmeirion from this cottage are stunning. All in all a fantastic relaxing holiday was had by all the family. Thank you very much Mrs Evans.
