  • "Ty costs is a fantastic house very near high St and pubs restaurant's etc."

Ideal location. The house is very comfortable and the owner has made it a home from home. The view from the lounge upstairs is lovely .Also great to have a parking space.

The cleaners kept the house well maintained and clean throughout my stay! Lots to do and see in North Wales.

  • "An ideal location to explore the town and surroundings."

Only stayed 2 nights but very quiet and comfortable. Kitchen/diner well equipped and generally tidy .(wastebins not emptied). Bathroom was good but wet towels left hanging behind door and bits/hair in shower tray due to slow draining of water. Lounge area was very pleasant with nice views. Could have been warmer considering time of year but didnt feel the need to inform anyone as only stayed 2 nights. Being so close ,easy walking distance, to the Castle, waterfront, bars, shops etc was great. Definitely consider returning.

Dear Ian, thanks for your review. I’ve been in contact with Menai Holidays and the cleaning team regarding areas of the feedback that were not up to the usual expected standards. We hope that you’ll make a return visit to Ty Coets and will make sure that the temperature is set to your preference for your next stay. Very happy to hear that you would consider returning to Ty Coets. All the best Property Owner

Would have liked to know how to work the heating. Overall had a very pleasant stay but weather not so good.

Dear Maggie, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed the Coach House. Sorry to hear that the weather wasn’t great. Thanks for the early feedback during your stay asking for a lower temperature. Hope you will return to Caernarfon and Ty Coets again. All the best Property Owner

  • "Lovely place."

All you need for a comfortable stay, great base for exploring north Wales, quiet location yet walking distance from caernarfon castle, railway and all supermarket's, not to mention several lovely pubs, would highly recommend.

Thanks very much for your great review. Very happy to hear that you had a lovely stay and enjoyed the local surroundings. Glad you enjoyed the steam show from the Welsh Highland Railway - which can be seen while looking out across the river from the living room. Also happy to hear you enjoyed the great selection of local pubs too. Look forward to welcoming you back to Ty Coets. All the best Property Owner

  • "The only thing incorrect about the listing was there was not a castle view - unless you had a very long neck :-) I would also suggest putting a note in the guestbook about the address - some of the takeaway places had no idea where it was, and the street numbering is a bit confusing I think."

It was otherwise an excellent stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a base in Caernavon.

Hi David, thanks for your feedback. The Menai Holidays description refers to the castle as a highlight which as you point out is viewable from around the corner of Ty Coets and a casual 4 mins walk away. However, there is a view of Castell bach (small castle) from the upstairs lounge of Ty Coets, across the boats in the river. Some Sat Navs have a problem with the address, although googlemaps is fine. I will add the 3 word geographic reference, meals.fool.finger, to the guest book. The mural of Blodeuwedd on the side of the building is a good locally well-known reference point too. Hope you had a fab time in Caernarfon and North Wales. Thanks for recommending Ty Coets as a base in Caernarfon. All the best Property Owner

It was comfortable and lovely and quiet and clean.very close to the town center the castle and all the other attractions.lively walks along the bay coast. House is lovely and enough for 2 ppl and a baby lol.teh owner provided high chair and travel cot and it was helpful and lovely.heating worked as we needed it it was rainy when we went. I would only say maybe a small rug in the bedroom is nice and a rug in the living room but other then that it was nice and cosy and we really enjoyed our time there we will be back.anita Anthonie and Baby Max Marais

Hi Anita, happy to hear that the three of you had a lovely stay at the Coach House. Glad you enjoyed the revamped castle visit too. Look forward to welcoming you back to Caernarfon again. All the best Property Owner

  • "Great location for touring the area and the house is in a very quiet part of the town but only 5 minutes from the castle and town centre with a good selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways."

The price reflects the facilities provided, my only disappointment was the heating. I would describe it as bearable rather than comfortable, and when an increase in temperature was requested due to forecast cold weather it was 3 days before the open plan property reached a comfortable temperature.

Hi Ian, thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the location and facilities. Each room is thermostatically controlled to ensure a consistent temperature. Thanks for contacting the Menai team; they have now replaced the batteries in the thermostats and it’s heating up perfectly. Apologies that this was an issue during your stay. Hope you’ll consider a stay at the Coach House in the future Property Owner

  • "Owner is lovely and is very helpful."

Property is great - the washing machine/dryer works very well, and the fridge has a large ice box. The bedroom is small but has a comfy bed and a hang rail for clothes, with a bedside table on each side. Upstairs living room is very cosy - the two one-seaters were great. I'd definitely stay here again.

  • "This is a quirky but delightful house within a couple of minutes walk of Caernarfon old town."

It was great to be able to park strainght outside the door. The bedroom is a little 'tight' getting around the bed but all adds to the charm. Lovely view of the river from the upstairs loungs little eagret and heron usually on display. Great selection of books for when the Welsh summer sun turns to liquid format. We had a great week in the property.

Thanks for your feedback David. I hope you’ll consider returning for the Oyster Catcher nesting season on top of the red building next to the river - it’s an annual highlight on Segontium Terrace Property Owner

Clean and modern throughout. Everything we needed was there (including some great local coffee and beers in the fridge). Only downside was the street can be noisy at times, considering it is not a through road, only a minor niggle though. Would recommend as a great base to explore this part of Wales.
