  • "When we arrived the owner provided useful information on the local area, as well as a welcome basket full of home grown delights and large home made cakes, which didn't last long with my two teenagers."

We had a comfortable and peaceful stay, a short walk from a beautiful and quiet beach, which my dog enjoyed (not often she gets to play on sand and in waves). The farmhouse is large, with a very useful drying room and a quiet area to chill out which is separate from the TV room. Everything we needed was available, including a back pack which we used on our walk up and down Snowdon. The rural nature of the property, surrounded by sheep, horses and cows, provided clear and starry night skies. The property is next to an airfield, but during our week we only saw one light plane and heard three helicopters, which we understand is the air ambulance service. I would recommend the property.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to leave such a detailed review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and Warren Farmhouse. Patricia Property Owner

The house was spotless and very well layed out. The kitchen had everything you wanted plus more. We were contacted by the owner the following day to see if all was well which was a nice touch, she had really useful information on local attractions and places to visit. Well done to her and her housekeeper for giving us such a lovely place to stay. Will definitely visit again.

  • "We have stayed in some glorious holiday cottages over the past several years but none of them, I MEAN NONE of them, compare with this one."

We were immediately struck with how spotlessy clean and tidy the house was which was a huge plus in itself. It was beauatifully appointed and had every possible appliance/gadget you could possibly need. There is plenty of space to place the items you arrive with, unlike many other places we've been to, and the beds, two of which were huge and sofas were wonderfully comfortable. With as many toilets as there are bedrooms, nobody could possibly get 'caught short' after returning from one of the many walks that could be taken directly from the house on foot, whether you wanted to walk the long paths in front of the house or make your way to the beach from the fields behind the house. Lovely touches like toiletries and cotton balls etc were provided along with as many household products as you could need to keep your stay clean and tidy. The garden room boasts the most comfortable seating arrangement and just when you think nothing could ever match that, why not spend your evening in the snug room where you can enjoy a lovely fire as you watch the tv where you have access to Prime, Google, YouTube etc. It's clear that the owner makes every effort possible to welcome you and see that you have the best possible time in the house. We most definately want to return. And thank you so much for the wine and box of cakes, which were so moist even by day six. Much appreciated, and thank you for a lovely stay.

Thank yo uso much for the best feed back that I have ever recieved. You were the most wonderful and helpful guests and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to welcoming you for a return visit. Patricia Property Owner

All the family(4 generations) had a lovley holiday and enjoyed days out exploring Snowdonia and the Llyn penninsula without having to travel too far. The only slight issue was the rug under the dining table which was a little curled at the edges and caused a few trips which fortunately didn't cause too much harm. We all would happily return to Warren Farm, the sooner the better.

I am so sorry to hear that you had a problem with the rug, I will ensure that this is resolved. I was delighted to hear that you had a lovely family holiday. Property Owner

  • "This is a terrific place, a beautiful house, extremely well equipped, very isolated, set in scrub farm land near the end of a really interesting peninsula at the SW end of the Menai Strait, hidden away behind Caernarfon Airport."

The airport is mainly for helicopter rescue and training, so there is a lot of helicopter activity. It also has a cafe and a museum (neither of which we visited). The old fort at the end of the peninsula is fascinating though rather thick with Preifat signs! The wonderful wide road down to the house is full of potholes and so an interesting drive. The views of Snowdonia including Snowdon are spectacular; the other way is Anglesea. When the sea mist comes in it is positively spooky. There is a miles long beach along the southern edge of the peninsular, good for walking and swimming (but watch the currents near the end). Ice cream, cafe (and not very good fish and chips) in the village. I love out of the way characterful places like this and would highly recommend. The current owner is very helpful and chatty.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am so glad you liked the Farmhouse and the outstanding views that you get from it. The sunsets are amazing too, I hope you got to see some magical ones. Patricia Property Owner

The house is wonderful, beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly want in a possible holiday letting and then some. The bathrooms seemed closer to a hotel bathroom with the products and cotton buds etc Every window has a magnificent view-where else can one see the sea Snowdonia mountain range sheep cows helicopters and jets landing all from within one house. Once here its hardly necessary to use the car as some lovely walks can be enjoyed directly shuts the front door. We would most definitely return. The extra space from such a large base was pure indulgent luxury 11/10. PS many thanks for the cake :)

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to leave some lovely comments about Warren Farmhouse, the comfy beds and stunning views and the fact that it so well equipped. Things I believe that help to make for a thoroughly relaxing holiday. I try to do all I can for guests in the hope that they will leave feeling fully refreshed after their holiday there. The access road does have pot holes in it which is troublesome, but these can be easily avoided. Regrettably I have no control over the repair of the surface as this is the responsibility of a neighbouring property owner. However there is an alternative route which you might have found more suitable. Property Owner

. but what a gem we came across. The photos don't do it justice and the homely feel and surroundings are just stunning. Going with all our family, children and a grandchild, there was something for everyone. Our granddaughter loved rooting around all the toys in the playroom, the table tennis table was very entertaining, we did a couple of jigsaws, a separate tv room, large garden space for the dogs, views for miles and peace and quiet. I'd read other reviews about the airport as my husband loves the odd air show.. but this was a definite bonus. We watched the air sea rescue helicopter practising just a field away and one evening watching a Chinook doing manoeuvres over the house was amazing!! Don't let this put you off at all, it's incredible. The house is so beautiful, beds so comfy and the beach a beachcombers dream. Almost your own bit of private beach with plenty of sand at low tide. Attractions are a short drive away, Beddgellert and Canaerffon, but we we really enjoyed just staying around the farmhouse. Supermarket delivered to our door on the first day so there were no issues cooking a feast in the super equipped kitchen so we could all eat as a family each day. I definately took too much stuff.. nearly everything you could think of is already there. We really look forward to returning. We were all sad to leave, we made some lovely family memories, thank you.

A very peaceful and quiet location. Everything we needed was there. All you had to do was turn up with some provisions nothing else needed. The standard and level of comfort was extremely high. How many other properties have 2 dishwashers, 2 fridge/freezers and a washing machine in addition to the 2 bathrooms, shower room/WC and another WC downstairs. There was also a phone for calling landline numbers had we so wished included. The fact there was a local airfield next door was actually a bonus, not a hindrance as it kept our 4 year old grandson occupied!! Basically a few pleasure flights with air sea rescue and air ambulance helicopters taking off very occasionally at the opposite end of the airfield. The cafe at the airport run by the air ambulance to raise funds for the air ambulance served really good food and was very good value for money. The property is perfectly located for visiting all nearby tourist attractions many of which we did visit. The local beach was a great place to go for a walk This is definitely somewhere we will return to in the future. The owner was very attentive ringing at the start of the holiday and the end to check everything was ok and telling us to contact her if we encountered any problems which was very reassuring.

On our arrival we found a large chocolate cake which was delicious. The owner Patricia phoned us to check if we had any queries and she was very friendly and helpful. The barn/playroom which adjoins the house provided a great den for our grandchildren ( 9 and 6) to play and watch videos while we had some peace and quiet in the house. The adults completed many of the excellent jigsaws - there were no missing pieces! The views from the farmhouse are spectacular and there is a great feeling of light and space. The exceptionally well equipped kitchen which included two dishwashers and kettles were much appreciated for our family of 8. The farmhouse is near an airfield for light ( not noisy) planes and the rescue helicopter. This was very interesting for all the family and we enjoyed visiting the airport and it’s historical museum.

  • "WOW! What a fantastic place to stay."

The location was peaceful and quiet but not remote as all the attractions we visited eg heritage railways, zip world, Portmerion, were 30-60min drive away. The house was spacious and stylish. The owner has thought of everything you will need and more so cupboards and drawers revealed all those home from home comforts from thermos flasks to individual bathrobes. Beds were comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms had lots of hot water, heated towel rails and large bath towels. The two sitting rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the provided jigsaws, maps and books. The kitchen is fantastically well equipped. We came by train and hired a car so only brought food and nothing was lacking so no need to bring your own kitchen equipment. The airfield is a fair distance away and we did not have any noise issues. In fact, we enjoyed seeing the occasional helicopter landing! As a party of adults and teenagers we loved our stay here and highly recommend this house for families and groups of all ages.
