"Lovely property in a perfect location for lots of walks or beach days."
The owner was on the ball with everything, anything we didn’t have he kindly provided. We prefer to do a big shop and then cook like we would at home and the kitchen was suitable for this also. We had two dogs with us and with the garden being really secure this was ideal for us to let them have the garden area without worrying where they were. Directly from the cottage there’s a lovely wooded path which you can either turn left and walk all the way down to the beach, takes about 20 mins, or you can turn right and walk a few km under the shelter of some stunning tree’s. Lots of wildlife as well. Had a fantastic weeks holiday here and would not hesitate to come back! Thankyou

"The Beudy cottage is ideally located and has a great layout, it is perfect for dogs and coming back from outdoor activities in all weathers (lots of rain!"
). The hot tub is a bonus and the views across the bay each morning were brilliant, all this makes the stay relaxing and peaceful. This was a return visit and once again Arwel the host was really helpful and friendly, and all the facilities were pretty much spot on, and nice and clean. J

"Beudy was an amazing experience for us."
Location is second to none. Easy driving to local towns, beaches and into the mountains. Nice walks down to the local beach and pub so the car is not even needed. Having a dog the garden felt very secure which was perfect. The cottage itself is very well equipped, some great information at arrival and the owner very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. A very safe and relaxing experience. We hope to be back soon.

"The cottage was lovely."
Had everything you needed. Lovely and clean and very well presented. Hot tub was always clean and checked on daily. Lovely leaves over to the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Wales. We will be back. The owner was very helpful also, called us a couple of days before we arrived.

"I left a list with the owner and I also sent Sykes a list by email."
Additionally I left my hoodie there and have phoned twice and received no response. I’d like my jacket back please. If you didn’t receive the list please email me and I’ll send it as an attachment. It’s long to put in here. Thank you.

"On the face of it the property is really good."
Excellent location, great garden and lovely property. However, there are a number of things that we had issues with. On arrival we were faced with an issue with the electrics that prevented the Wi-Fi, hot water and heating from working. We didn't have to leave the property whilst the owner tried to sort it but we felt like we were in the way so left to the local pub (highly recommend the food!). He couldn't sort the issue so an electrician had to be called, the electrician left about 11pm. The resultant repair left an extension cable running from the loft to a socket in the lounge- as apparently it couldn't be fully sorted until the end of August when there is a gap in the bookings. We were advised that we were the guinea pigs for the temporary repair. The heating and hot water didn't work properly all week and we had to manually put the heating and hot water on when we needed it. The owner didn't seem overly concerned as we had found ways to work around it ourselves. The en-suite shower did little more than a drip of water- which I assumed the owner would be aware about given they have to clean it before each occupation but it came as a surprise to him when I mentioned it. He made it clear that he was not going to sort it whilst we were in but he would get the part ready for him to fix before the new people coming in on Friday. He also asked why didn't we mention it on Sunday, to which we answered we assumed he would know. This left 6 adults using one mediocre shower - 4 for the latter part of the week. The taps in the main bathroom were not fixed in properly meaning we had to hold the cold bath tap to ensure the water went in the bath not on the floor. Not ideal for washing babies/small dogs. The owner seemed to let himself into the property whilst we were out - the first time to drop the cot off which he forgot about the day we arrived and the second time to diagnose the shower problem - which he didn't sort. He regularly let himself into the garden to check on the hot tub but he often left the gate open. This meant the garden was not secure for our dog, especially if we didn't know he had been through the gate and left it open. The kitchen is poorly set out. The table prevents access to the dishwasher making it a two person job. There were lots of dog hairs - not belonging to our dog, especially in the window seat and around the edges of the rooms and in the main bathroom. Worryingly, there were dead insects on the children's play equipment provided in the accommodation (the play kitchen set) The lighting is quite poor - but not a major problem. The hot tub didn't seem to be at temperature and there was no way of altering it. The owner even asked on our last night what our plans were for the hot tub as he wanted to get a head start draining it for Friday change over! We told him we were using it, To which replied that is fine as you have the property until your departure. We thought that would mean him coming at 9am to empty the hot tub, however at 5.45am the next morning Arwel could be heard coming to the property to empty the hot tub! By walking past the property it caused our dog to wake and bark meaning we were all awake by 6am. I don't think this is acceptable as we had paid for use of this accommodation until 9am and the early wake up is not what you want on holiday. Given the new occupiers can't arrive before 5:30 pm, this seems like plenty of time to sort the hot tub. Other than this the fridge needs looking at as it doesn't keep food cold enough, the curtain rails are falling off in the bedroom, there is no storage for clothing in 1 of the rooms and very limited in another. Overall, the property is suitable for a base for a holiday. The garden is secure for all dogs (given the gate is shut) and the views of the sea are beautiful. Arwel is a lovely man who means well, however we felt from early on in our week long stay that we were an inconvenience given the issues the property was having. We felt like they were keen to get rid of us, and this is highlighted by the request to drain the hot tub the night before we left and Arwel turning up at sunrise to drain it on our departure day, waking us all up and it felt like hurrying us along. We struggled to relax knowing that the owner can, and will just turn up at any time of his convenience to look at the issues (but never fix them). We accept that the electrics issue was beyond the owners control and he did everything he could to ensure we could stay at the property , but the other issues are all things that he should have known about as the owner who should spend time on handover day checking it over. Maybe if we had mentioned them to him he may have been able to sort them but they shouldn't have been issues in the first place.

"A fabulous cottage in a perfect location."
The cottage was clean, tidy and warm with everything we needed. The dog walks from the cottage were amazing with the beach only a 20 min walk, and the hot tub perfect for relaxing. A very well kept and maintained cottage, the owner was great and very helpful, thank you. When we arrived the owner was there to show us around and how things like the heating and hot tub worked. There was lots to do close by, good cycling routes and good shops a short drive away. Already looking at booking again for another relaxing holiday.

"Couldn't have asked for more - absolutely lovely cottage, just as described and with real attention to detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible."
Fab setting with views across to the sea, glorious hot tub, spotless rooms with every little thing you might need. Friendly and knowledgeable host with lots of ideas for things to do/see or places to eat within easy reach. We would definitely stay here again!
-
"Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable."
He gave good hints and tips on places to visit and local pubs serving food etc. Fixed leaking tap immediately, nothing too much trouble. Would totally recommend for families as the garden was really safe. Hot tub was a bonus, views amazing.

"We had a wonderful holiday."
The Cottage is all you could want. Lovely and beautifully furnished . Everything you would need. Beds and couches are very comfortable. Bedding clean and pretty. Bathrooms were clean and very nice. Lovely garden with more than ample furniture and to top it all a very luxurious hot tub . Arwel our host and his wife must have worked very hard to get this cottage to an excellent standard. Though we didn't meet his wife nothing was too much trouble for them they were very kind and helpful. A beautiful spot to spend time relaxing and enjoying the view. And just right to visit the whole of the Llyn. We hope to book for next year and bring some our sons as well as one of our daughters who came with us this time. Would highly recommend. Thank you Arwel and your dear wife for a lovely holiday. With kindest regards, Pam and Ivor.

"We spent a week here in October 2022."
The cottage enjoys a great location- with views of the sea in the distance. It is well kitted out with free Wifi, a functional kitchen complete with cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine and 2 bathrooms. The lounge area is comfortable, a TV with access to usual free channels and Netflix ( if you have a password). There are 3 bedrooms- a master with en-suite, another double and another with 2 singles. A family bathroom with shower and bath services these rooms. The double room was comfortable however lacked its own wardrobe- so storing clothes was tricky, especially for a week long stay. All in all though, we found the interior of the cottage clean, homely and very comfortable. The outside was also nicely done- enclosed garden ( perfect for the dog) lots of sitting space and a lovely hot tub which we really enjoyed after long Welsh walks! On arrival the owner Arwel was super friendly and showed us around the property inviting us to feel free to give him a knock ( he lives next door) if we needed anything. The cottage boasts walks to get to a Beach or into the village to the pub- we did both. We also drove further afield to experience longer walks with truly stunning views and beaches. It’s a wonderful part of the world if you enjoy walking! All in all a really lovely week - highly recommend a stay here!

"Had an amazing stay at Beudy cottage with a group of friends."
Our host Arwel was super friendly and made sure everything was perfect for us. The pictures on the advertisement did not give this place justice as it is an absolutely stunning cottage with some lovely quality fixtures. The hot tub really made this break very enjoyable and we will be returning for another visit soon
-
"We found Beudy clean and well appointed with comfortable beds."
We particularly enjoyed the hot tub at the end of each day. Beudy js in a very quiet location with lovely views of the sea and mountains on the coast line. It was perfect for our dogs too having a self contained garden and walks possible from the property. . The Llyn Peninsula is stunning with plenty of gorgeous beaches and mountains and the owner was most helpful with his suggestions of where to visit as well as anything else we needed help with We loved it so much that we plan to return
-
"We had a very pleasant stay in Beudy."
We were staying with family in the other two cottages and we all enjoyed the views, gardens and quality of the properties. Arwel was very accommodating and told us about things we needed to know such as good dog walks and where to eat. Our cottage was very clean and tidy on arrival and had most things we needed. We were pleased to be able to walk our dog to the beach and there were plenty of things to do. We would recommend Beudy to others especially if planning on holidaying with others.

"Great place to stay, convenient location and fantastic facilities."
Will definitely be back.

"Few days away with my mum and dog."
Accommodation was excellent, spotless with unique decor. Very quiet. Great base for exploring Aberdaron, Abersoch, Lanbedrog and Porthor beaches. We didn’t eat out as the cottage was so lovely to eat in.. fully enclosed garden for my dog, with a wonderful hot tub. Views at the front of cardigan bay. Very helpful host. Well needed break and birthday treat for mum We will definitely return.

"Very comfortable cottage and good base for exploring Lleyn peninsula by car."
The owners live on site and are very helpful if you need anything

"Great accommodation - really high standard, extremely comfortable and the location is fabulous as a base to explore the whole peninsular."
The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and we not hesitate to return to this lovely place.
-
"The cottage has been sympathetically renovated in a traditional manner with a contemporary twist."
Ideal base to tour the Llyn peninsular local beach a short walk away. The accommodation was spotless , proprietors prepared to go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. We will be revisiting in the near future. Tony & Sally plus two pointers Staffordshire.

"Our stay in Beady was great."
The cottage itself exceeded our expectation. Inside was very clean and extremely comfortable. The recently redone outside area was particularly nice with the addition of a private hot tub and two good seating areas. The cottage owners were unobtrusive, but very friendly. We and our dog had a lovely week and we would 100% recommend.
-
"The cottage was very well presented and the owner very friendly."
We really enjoyed the lovely views, the hot tub and the dog friendly garden. It was also a good location to visit local attractions. My only disappointment was that there was a play area and trampoline advertised on booking that we were never made aware is no longer available. Having a trampoline was a major reason I chose the cottage for our jumping mad children and I would have appreciated being made aware it has been removed. Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return if we were in the area or to recommend the cottages to others.

"Dealing with Sykes during the covid-19 situation was difficult, parts of the website, such as my account continually not accessible, getting the "opp!"
S we couldn't reach that page" dialogue box The cottage, was excellent, very clean, warm and comfortable, the hosts Arwel and Sinoed, were great, very friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful. A beautiful place, great views, lots of lovely walks with our two dogs and the beach is a 20 minute walk away. This holiday was perfect for us.

"We had a great holiday and loved our accommodation."
The hot tub was very popular, even in the rain. I have booked an out of season holiday in 2021 and very much look forward to returning.
-
"We spent a very comfortable week at Beudy cottage this February half term on what turned out to be one of the wettest and windiest weeks that N Wales has experienced."
Our Host Arwel made us feel very welcome and relaxed. He was very keen to show us the new hot tub he had just installed which my family including two young boys thoroughly enjoyed several times even in the rain! The standard of decoration, and equipment in the cottage was first class and it was a real pleasure to have such a cosy base to return to each time we had ventured out . We would not hesitate to use Beudy cottage again in the future. Many thanks again Philip & Glynis Kilner and family.

"Lovely location, beautiful cottage, well equipped kitchen."
Lovely to be able to take the dog too as our cottage had a small enclosed private garden. Owners are on site, welcoming but leave you to get on with your holiday. Only (very slight) negatives would be the lack of drawers in the twin bedroom. In the second double bedroom and twin bedroom there was hanging space provided by hangars on hooks behind the door. The road to the cottage - for the final quarter of a mile - is unmade. Not a problem for most cars but probably worth mentioning if you have a sports car with limited ground clearance or if you don't want to get your wheels dirty! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend and go again.
-
"Fabulous, comfy, clean, great location, everything we could ask for."
Would certainly book again.

"We attended Cefn Coed Cottages late August 2019 so been a while since and a little late with feedback but can i just assure all that this is due to trying to find the superlatives to match the experience."
The Location for a start is superb, tranquil and off the beaten track but close enough to Porthmadog, Pwllheli and even the fabulous Abersoch. We went as a family of 2 Grandparents, 2 Parents and 2 Children aged 8 and 6. Having never been to This side of Wales before I was a little sceptical but not fo long. It is magnificent and would recommend this to anyone. The kids loved it!! Visit the castle nearby at Criccieth but the location, array of beaches and walks is outstanding and we found so much to keep everyone busy. There's even trout fishing and quad bike safari nearby not to mention the cute rabbit farm where the kids loved petting and holding the furry little bundles. All in all we couldn't find any complaints about this holiday. It was far better than we expected. The owners even brought a bbq round when the weather was warm wihtout us even asking! Great job Arwell (Owner). Pay a visit to the local butcher Poveys in Chwilog and the produce is terrific, with best pork pies tp boast (but get there quick or order as the locals snap these up). Enjoy Wales and this location is very highly recommended.

"Great all round holiday to North Wales found beaches really beautiful dog friendly, weather played a major part as it was glorious for nearly all the whole week."
-
"We stayed in Beudy cottage, with gorgeous and expansive sea views, surrounded by countryside."
The cottages are on a family-owned plot, restored wonderfully from being former farm buildings. The interiors still keep the character (e.g wooden beams, floors, brick) but have modern comforts in the bathrooms, kitchen and so on. The owner and his family are very polite and helpful. When the weather forecast stuck to sun, sun, sun he whipped out some garden chair loungers and a BBQ! They were happy to help with any enquires to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed his enclosed garden space and nearby walking tracks to explore and our young daughter had her first go on a swing in the communal garden area. The neighbouring cottage even has a hot tub in their private outdoor space! We would absolutely make this place at the top of our list every time a North Wales Holiday was put on the calendar.
-
"We thought the cottage was very comfortable and nice and clean."
The surrounding area was very nice and easy to get to the coast. The owner was very obliging nothing was too much trouble helping wherever he could. We would recommend the cottage to friends and family.
-
"Beautiful cottage well stocked and comfortable couches ."
However the central heating is controlled by the owners and on the first two evenings having no heating after the hour that was on around tea time we had to text the owners to switch on the heating. There was no fire in the lounge or any other heating . One day due to the bad cold ( hailstones and rain ) weather and my grand daughter was un well we stayed in and there was no day time heating at all and no hot water to give her a hot bath. we felt was this was unacceptable in April. The master bedroom never got warm even when the heating was on after our request for longer heating spells. We felt this spoilt our holiday and couldn't therefore recommend it to others until this is rectified.
Thank you for your feedback. The heating is controlled by the WIFI system, however guests can override this at anytime. We are onsite to offer assistance if needed and if we are out, we are available to guide through any issues you may have overriding the heating. Kind regards, Property Owner
