"The house is lovely, with character and plenty of space."
There was everything needed for a family holiday,with lots of nice little touches.it was clean and well equipped. The games room was a hit with the kids, and the outside area,and bbq was really good on sunny days.The local pud was very friendly and served good food. We will certainly book again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were a group of 8 and there was enough room for us all. It has everything you need. Great location lovely garden which we spent a lot of evenings in. We would definitely look at booking here again and would recommend to family and friends.

"The property is beautiful, the owners have really thought about the little details, such as hot water bottles and blankets in all the bedrooms."
The rooms are all large and comfortable and the games room was a great addition. The location is great too you are only minutes away from plenty of beautiful places to explore. I would strongly recommend the pub down the road for a meal. The only downside for us was the cleanliness of the property I spent the first evening cleaning as there were cobwebs and dust everywhere. The kitchen was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned at all. And we were very disappointed that the garden had not been done before we arrived so the grass was too long for the children to play out in. It is also worth noting that the garden is not enclosed so if you are taking a dog that is likely to escape you would need to keep them on a lead. All in all we had a fantastic week here despite the weather. If those little things were addressed it would be a 5 star review. Thank you very much for a great holiday.
We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Gwynle and the area and can only apologise that the kitchen had not been cleaned. We are trying to ascertain why this had not been done and are asking our cleaning team what happened. We take great pride in our house and take every effort to make sure it is clean and perfect for our guests. Apologies too for the back lawn not having been cut. This was due to a key left in the garden door by the previous guests the day you arrived and the gardener not being able to gain access with his key that morning. The house was amazing with all of it's lovely features, a welcome change from the very modern - the kitchen was also well thought out and the conservatory and games room, an added bonus which was very welcome for our three generation family holiday. So much attention to those details, made the house feel like home from home.

"This is a fantastic holiday house."
So much attention to detail and thought from the owner. We loved the games room and the outside area. The kitchen is so well equipped and we used the picnic basket and flask for a picnic on the beach. The bed in the loft was very squeaky but my husband adjusted the bolts and sorted it out. Blinds in the loft room would be good as it was too light. We would have liked access to a hoover as with 2 dogs we needed to clean through the week! All in all a perfect stay in a fabulous family home from home, thank you!

Beautiful, comfortable house in a great location. Has everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Enjoyed sitting in the conservatory looking out over the garden making use of all the Prosecco glasses! Kids spent lots of time in the games room too

"We had a fabulous family holiday at Gwynle in August."
The house is lovely, spacious, well equipped, and very much enjoyed by our family group (ranging from one year old to seventy-one years old!) It was also very conveniently located for us to explore the local beaches during the week of lovely weather that we enjoyed. Lesley was very helpful and lovely to liaise with. We would definitely recommend the property and hope to return.

Beautifully appointed house with fab kitchen and brilliant back garden. Ate out at the pub literally 2 min walk from the house excellent fresh local produce and used the butchers too . Things that might be helpful is an air maiden to air clothes for winter time .

The freshness of the decor and quality of furnishings very good. As three generations of one family, we appreciated the seperate spaces in the house. We all felt very relaxed at the end of our stay. No arguments. Very well located for lots of beaches - the one at Abererch nearby, great for swimming and allowed dogs - we hope to return again and visit some of the other attractions in the area but as the weather was so good, the beaches won !!!

It is a spacious house, with lovely views, beautifully presented and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is modern and extremely well equipped. It is open plan, leading to a super conservatory and dining area, which easily seats 8 people. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. A There is also a large garden with a summer house. It's location is within easy reach of several beaches and many visitor attractions. Chwilog is a quaint village with local amenities and welcoming village pub which serves meals. All in all we had a very pleasant visit to the area

The house is very Spacious and tastefully decorated. The open plan kitchen is modern and fully equipped and is linked to a large dining area and wonderful conservatory. The sitting room is very cosy with a Woodburning stove. The bedrooms and family bathroom are also tastefully decorated.There is ample parking at the front of the property and a large garden to the rear with a lovely Summerhouse.There is an excellent local pub and butchers near to the property with friendly staff and good service..love Sandy

The property
This wonderfully appointed, semi-detached period residence sits within generous gardens in the village of Chwilog, on the scenic Llyn Peninsula.
Gwynle is believed to date back to the late 1800’s when it was once a Captain’s residence; now it has been lovingly restored while maintaining many period features to keep in touch with character and age.
Set over three floors; on the ground-floor you will enter into a small hallway where you can leave your boots and jackets behind before finding the sitting room, complete with two sumptuous sofas and a woodburning stove, plus a TV for enjoying cosy movie nights.
Give the chef of the group some space as they get acquainted in the open-plan bespoke kitchen/diner, home to a wealth of integrated appliances and a large centre island, this is a wonderful space to show off your culinary skills.
Continue through to the conservatory where you can settle down and overlook the garden or lose yourself in a good read.
As your eyes grow heavy, move upstairs to catch some rest in the bedrooms; the first-floor plays host to two refreshing doubles, one with distant sea views and the other overlooking the garden, along with a pretty twin which is perfect for children, and served by a beautiful bathroom with freestanding bath and a large walk-in shower.
Continue to the second-floor to find the fourth bedroom, offering another double bed, sitting area with a window overlooking the garden.
Up here there is also a second bathroom with walk-in shower.
The rear garden is very generous in size with patio seating area and summer house, surrounded by an abundance of mature plants, trees and shrubs, so you can enjoy alfresco dining in an idyllic setting, while to the front there is a small lawned area and off-road parking for four cars in a shared driveway.
The village of Chwilog is home to a welcoming pub, Y Madrynn, which offers tasty local ales and home-cooked meals, ideal for those evenings when you don’t feel like cooking.
For a greater choice of amenities, the town of Criccieth is four miles away, offering an impressive 13th-century castle which provides stunning views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia Mountains.
Alternatively, head a little further afield to Porthmadog, home to a striking marina and is the terminus for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railway, a scenic train journey that cuts through the glorious landscapes of Snowdonia.

Chwilog is a small village on the Llyn Peninsula, near the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The Afon Wen river runs through the village and down to the sea, just one mile away. A short drive away, Criccieth is a delightful seaside town with a 13th century castle sat on a rocky outcrop with wonderful views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the towns two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
