  • "Lovely farmhouse enjoyed especially by the kids."

Cakes were a lovely touch and enjoyed. Cooker knobs worn and had difficulty with getting one oven to work. No instructions found for rubbish which we bagged a put in the porch area. Had some heavy rain which cause leak in porch area, causing shoes to become wet. Difficult location to reach might be difficult fir some drivers. Overall we enjoyed our stay, plenty of room for us all.

  • "This is a wonderful place for a family get away."

The cottage is lovely and quaint with many original features. It is so comfortable, plenty of space for everyone to relax. The bedrooms are so big with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well fitted out with plenty of utensils and crockery to use. The outside area was beautiful, so much space for everyone to enjoy. The veiws of the surrounding countryside are picturesque. This place is out of the way from the hustle and bustle of everything. We have an amazing 3 nights stay and would definitely recommend it. Pauline and Alun were available if we'd had any issues.

  • "Hendre Aled Farnhouse was lovely!"

It looks very rustic and a little dilapidated at first sight -especially the outbuildings which are very ‘farmyard-y- but once inside we were very impressed. The rooms are huge, and eleven of us fitted comfortably without ever feeling cramped. The addition of a large chocolate cake was very much enjoyed! The only slight problem was with accessing the site. We have a 4 wheel drive vehicle but the other two cars aren’t, and the road getting to the house is really only suitable for a 4x4,especially in the wet. It is steep and just a farm track. One of the cars only made it back up the hill by emptying it out and transporting everything else in other cars. In the ice it would be impassable. Having said that, once there the remoteness added to the feeling of being away from it all. A rustic, relaxed but comfortable place to stay in stunning countryside.

  • "Lovely farmhouse, shame garden and patio areas rather overgrown."

During our visit had a minor problem with mice, very quickly sorted out by the owners. Don’t leave any food stuffs out. Can be a tricky drive down to the farmhouse and cottages in wet weather. Overall wonderful stay and great views, family loved it extremely comfortable. Thank you Pauline and Alun.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a great location."

Ideal base to travel out to the surrounding locations. The only suggestion I would give to improve the stay would be that the cottage would benefit from a washing machine. However apart from that everything else was perfect. Thank you.

Far exceeded expectations. Equipped with everything and more than you could need and was immaculate inside and out. More than enough space for the 6 adults, 2 teens and a 7 year old. No one could possibly be disappointed.

We were asked to pay £20 on arrival for cleaning the barbecue with the assurance that if we left it clean the money would be repaid We did leave the barbecue very clean and to be frank it was hardly used as it was in poor condition We would like the £20 repaid, but overall we enjoyed our stay

  • "Well equipped and comfortable furnishings, Amazingly scenic, peaceful and remote location, despite the bumpy approach track."

The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, and we were made very welcome by the owner's. The two sittings rooms were perfect - one for the adults and one for the kids. Once the log burner gets going in the main lounge, it warms the whole house! Lots of open space in the surrounding fields for the children, including the imaginative play equipment. Could do with a washing machine with a house full of mucky kids!

Excellent facilities and location. The owners Pauline and Alun were really helpful. Can't recommend the farmhouse enough. We had a family gathering for Easter and went to do the zip wire velocity which wasn't too far away. My mum's planning a return trip for us all to the farmhouse next year as everyone enjoyed it so much.
