"Lovely cottage, very comfortable."
We appreciated the information from the host before checking in and the welcome pack of treats and flowers was a lovely touch. The house is well appointed, plenty of room, the lounge is cosy, we loved the real fire in the evenings. Ideal for a family break.

"The perfect place for just some peaceful quiet time."
Absolutely enjoyed our stay and in the future we will definitely come back.

"Needs a little TLC as some items in the property are broken (loose sockets in dining room, light in kitchen, bathroom window and showers screen) ,but apart from that we had a great stay, perfect for Llandegla bike park just down the road."
The sofa isn't great if you have old bones like me but my son didn't have a problem. Beds were super comfy and we slept very well :-) Property was nice and clean throughout. Shower is very powerful! Great parking. Would recommend and use again :-) Postcode isn't accurate on Google Maps it takes you to another house 500 yards away. If you're coming down the hill from Wrexham it's on the right BEFORE the traffic lights. We drove past it 3 times before finding it!

"Perfect cottage."
Very clean and comfortable. Welcome pack very much appreciated. Flowers always make me smile and apples and Welsh cakes a treat. Butter and milk very useful. Lovely countryside views. Perfect base for us to spend time with family nearby. Will definitely return. Thank you.

"The property has potential but needs some TLC to bring it up to standard: 1."
The sofa was uncomfortable and not suitable for 4 guests. 2. The dishwasher is in need of replacement as it doesn’t wash well and falls off the rails every time you open it. 3. The washing machine was very dirty with mould in the drawer. 4. Most the clothes pegs on the line were broken and there was no clothes horse to dry clothes inside (a must). There was no basket to remove washing from the machine to hang up. 5. A lot of dust everywhere when we arrived, particularly behind bedside tables etc. it could do with a deep clean as there was only so much we could or should have to do! 6. There is space for a bigger main bed but instead there was only a small double with a duvet that was too small. 7. The sheets all had trailing threads. 8. The property is advertised as toddler safe but there was no way we could put up our travel stair gate. 9. The advertised jacuzzi bath does not work and felt dirty (very old). The shower screen doesn’t work so there is a curtain but it is covered in mildew and mould. 10. There is evidence of damp throughout the property. I have a serious chest condition which significantly worsened on entering the property. We found mould behind a painting next to where I was sleeping. The location was good and the property has potential but just needs to be fully considered as it didn’t meet the advertised specs.
Unfortunately, several of the comments made by Catherine are actually untrue, and I would like to clarify these points. Firstly, the bed in the main bedroom is a standard 4ft 6in double, with appropriate bedding, as advertised. The settee is an IKEA Friheten sofa bed, and provides generous seating for six people. The details of the property clearly state that a stair gate is available on request. We have one available that fits. I am particularly disappointed that Catherine has complained that the house was not absolutely spotless. Although this is a matter of opinion, the cottage is cleaned by professional cleaners and checked by ourselves at each change of guests. The feedback from all our other guests have rated the cottage as absolutely clean. There is no mould in the property. As I said, the property has been rated as perfectly clean by all other guests. The property meets the advertised specifications in every way. Property Owner

About the location
LLANDEGLA
Ruthin 7 miles; Llangollen 9 miles; Mold 10 miles.
The Denbighshire village of Llandegla lies on the banks of the River Alyn and is located in the heart of North Wales. It was established as a result of drovers moving their cattle from Wales to market in England, and later as a quarry workers' village. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is bordered by the Clwydian range to the north and Llandegla Forest to the south. The famous Offa’s Dyke footpath bisects the village and the renowned Llandegla mountain bike centre is popular with cyclists of all abilities. The village offers a choice of pubs, as well as a village shop and Post Office. Several shops and cafes and numerous local activities including fishing, clay plate shooting and horse riding are nearby. The larger towns of Llangollen and Ruthin are a short drive away, and are well worth a visit for their extensive shops, restaurants and many historic/cultural sites. A delightful location in the heart of beautiful, unspoilt countryside.
