"The cottage is immaculate and looks fantastic on arrival but thd sofas are really uncomfortable and the lack of a coffee table makes enjoying a drink and snacks while watching tv very difficult."
1 hairdryer between 3 bedrooms also surprised me. We had problems with the hob and oven and trouble locking the back door. The owner was very responsive. I think one set of keys is also unacceptable.

"Parking wasn’t easy."
The pay and display car park, which was recommended, wasn’t that convenient; especially for unloading and loading. Not enough crockery and there was no Pyrex bowl or scales. There want even 1 dishwasher tablet left ready.

"We chose this cottage for its ideal location in Conwy and we realised that parking would be difficult."
There are lots of paid parking sites and some free parking in the town but it can be difficult to load and unload close to the house on arrival and departure. The house itself was clean and it had the main facilities.Bathrooms were modern though the en-suite bedroom is small and had little storage. It could do with a coffee table (which has been mentioned a couple of times by previous guests). We couldn't find a first aid kit when my husband cut his head on the cooker hood. A couple of dishwasher tablets needed. Location was the main attraction and we had a great stay in the town.

Could not fault it , 4 Railway terrace is a perfect location very quiet and within walking distance (less than 5 minutes walking to the main street in Conwy) car parking readily available on either the station car park which is 2 mins walk and is £2 from 6 pm to 8 am or at Mount pleasant car park which is a easy 10 min walk and costs £7 for 24 hrs , most day we managed to park on the road outside of the cottage , there are trains going past the cottage but not very often and hardly noticeable, I wou definitely recommend this cottage its another excellent Sykes cottage

"Nice property, great location, very clean."
Very helpful cleaner on arrival. Much smaller than pictures suggest. Need a coffee table in lounge. No wardrobes in 2 rooms, and on-suite room is VERY small. Work on trainline on first night kept us awake. A neighbour mentioned that she had been informed of this - so should we! You need a cover for the bright red bins at the back of the property. Very unsightly and not conducive to sitting on the table and chairs provided. The parking is a nightmare and would stop us from using you again. Info on bins is outdated and needs replacing. The neighbour was very helpful in this regard.

"Absolutely amazing holiday cottage with fabulous views of the castle!"
Excellent location to railway and the town centre. The property was well equipped with all home comforts and very modern! Our host was very helpful in talking us through set up of digital hob and oven! We had a wonderful few days away. Would definitely book again and highly recommend!

"Nous sommes ravis du séjour passé dans ce magnifique cottage."
Excellente situation : plein centre. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous sommes extrêmement satisfait par les prestations, le cottage est très bien équipé. Nous avons d'ailleurs été charmé par la décoration.

"A fantastic choice of holiday accommodation set in the beautiful town of Conwy."
Yes, you are very near a railway line but it didn't disturb us even with the windows open. All the essentials have been thought of and the owner has done a great choice when choosing mattresses, very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the place was spotlessly clean even though they accept pets. Obviously made the right choice with the change over team. The only downside is the parking, on street is available but you are generally parking in short stay spots in town until something above the railway arch becomes available. This however leaves you sat in one of the many great hospitality venues watching for a space over a drink or 2. A must visit other than the obvious castle is Edwards the butcher in the town centre, I think we entered that place a dozen times in 4 days. The beer garden behind the wine merchants is a gorgeous spot in the sun and the veranda behind Dylans restaurant for overlooking the churchyard with some great seafood is also a must. Thank you owner for the part you played in our perfect stay in Conwy. Hope to return another time.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Railway Terrace."
Very convenient to Conwy town. Bus services to other coastal towns regular and inexpensive. We arrived in the middle of Pirate Weekend in Conwy so we had trouble parking on the street near the cottage but there are a few car parks to use until we managed to park on the street later. Just a couple of improvements - handwashing in both bathrooms and a cafetiere would have been nice. Also a couple of dishwasher tablets would be an advantage. Small niggles that nevertheless didn't mar our enjoyment

"This is a lovely cottage in a great central location."
Well equipped, comfortable beds, lovely showers and everything finished to a high standard. We had to contact the owners as the contractors didn't empty the bins, they were really helpful and sorted it immediately. We managed to park on Rosemary Lane a few days, but other than that there is plenty of parking in Mount Pleasant car park just a few minutes walk away. We parked briefly on the double yellow lines in Rosemary Lane to unload and it wasn't a problem. We loved it so much we booked for next year on our 2nd day. A fabulous holiday home.

"4 Railway Terrace is a compact property within the town walls, so very convenient for everything in the town."
It had all the facilities we needed for a pleasant stay. Very clean with large and comfortable beds. Parking proved possible in Rosemary Lane but might be harder at a busier time. We would have benefited from instructions for use of the appliances, more crockery (including saucers), a coffee table, tea pot, and cafetiere.

"The bin information needs updating on the laminate as I had to ask a neighbour which bins to use as I couldnt find the biffa bin."
She told me these have all now been replaced. Also maybe a note about the property being behind the row of houses on the road where sat nav stops.

"Great place to stay."
Very comfortable and clean. Surrounding area wasn't bad either lol.
-
"This is a super property which is modernised to a high standard and has all amenities."
Loved the location - we parked either in the adjacent street or in the station car park (1-2 mins walk). Highly recommended by us.

"I did speak with the property owner as I had no information on Wi-fi or appliances."
very frustrating also a table in the lounge would have been good had to put cups on the floor and more cleaning equipment including a J cloth would be good I had to buy one . Owner very helpful

"The cottage is beautifully decorated to a high standard & very close to all the amenities Conwy has to offer."
We were extremely lucky to get a parking place but can see this could definitely be a problem. We were very surprised that there was not a welcome folder with useful information for example, Wi-Fi information, manuals to use the kitchen appliances (there was nothing), information on what to do with recycling, I had to contact the owner. Every other cottage we have stayed in has provided this information I suggest the owner(s) put something together. The last thing you want when you arrive is to have to sort this out. They did however display in a frame a whole list of what your dog ‘could NOT do’ which was pretty much everything. If you want a dog to sleep downstairs but stay off the furniture why have open plan - how does this work? We do not consider this cottage as ‘dog friendly’ and for this reason would not recommend to dog owners or stay here again. If you do not have a dog then we would highly recommend this cottage.

"Only negative was no parking."
.we had to pay 6 pounds a day!!and I think that should be mentioned when booking

"We loved Conwy bay Cottage was lovely Just a problem with parking outside ..."
We loved Conwy bay Cottage was lovely Just a problem with parking outside the cottage It would be much better if the residents had permit parking As anybody is allowed to park on the road We hated parking our car in the pay and display car parks all night For that reason we would not go back there again Margaret cox

"Although we asked about parking and was told that it would not be an issue we found that when we got there we could not park near the house."
We had to park in a near by car park which cost £6 per day. After speaking to locals they all said that parking was an issue. The property said they were pet friendly and there was a yard however, the dog was only allowed downstairs which in our case was okay as we have a small dog but larger dogs would struggle for space. Also the outside area was open to a gate at the end of an alley so not appropriate to let the dog out. The position of the house was fantastic and couldn't have been better placed and the transport links allowed you to visit without using your car which was great.

"Could do with a coffee table by the sofa please"
-
"A charming and comfortable house in a good location."
We were able to park close to Railway Terrace on all but one occasion. The property is well furnished, very clean with a decent kitchen and good bathrooms. Three comfortable beds too. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break and would happily recommend 4 Railway Terrace to others.

About the location
CONWY
Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.
Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
