  • "This was a really lovely house in an excellent locationand we had a great stay visiting friends and family."

    In general the house was good, but there were some issues that would make it great and that we found very disappointing. The cleanliness of the bedrooms was a bit hit and miss. Skirting boards and surfaces like bedheads were dirty/dusty and a little off putting. Pillows could also do with replacing. The loung was really grubby looking: cushions and throw looked dirty, sofa cushions were stained and grubby looking and very off putting and smelt, old furniture was did not add any value to the room with old chairs needing upholstering etc. The house needs a lot of TLC and decorating to bring it up to a better standard. This is all very easily fixed and over all the house is great and has a lot to offer. We understand if pets are allowed in the house, but please stress NOT on the furniture. Also parking is a little tricky which I know is true in Conwy- we had to park on the street as a skip was delivered for work on the next door property, but this was not too much of an issue. We would stay again but would think about it if these few things were not corrected. There is a lot of competition out there.

  • "Curtains off rail in ensuite bedroom No towel in downstairs toilet and only half a roll of toilet paper."

    We had to use a tea towel to dry hands. No bread bin No oven gloves Windows dirty No curtains in dining room Not enough table mats No starter pack for woodburner as promised on website. No dishwasher tablets. No handwash available in bathroom - this was worrying from a hygiene point of view. Lack of shampoo, conditioner and body wash needs to be communicated to guests prior to arrival. It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub and not 3 minutes as described.

    Many thanks for your feedback and for bringing to our attention the missing/broken items. We sincerely apologise that we did not meet your expectations. We have discussed the matter with our cleaners to ensure the kitchen and bathrooms are always properly restocked and to immediately report and fix anything broken by previous guests and/or replace any missing items, so there will be no repeat of these failings in the future. We have also asked Sykes to correct the description they have provided regarding the walking time to the nearest pub (the Albion, which is a 6-minute walk according to Google Maps.) Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous property , front garden could do with cutting back as we couldn't find the property at first after the sat nav said we had reached our destination."

    Or maybe put a sign on the wall outside and the number , but we had a marvelous experience and will come again 10/10

We did recently repaint the house number on the wall outside, however I appreciate it may not be immediately visible when you are driving past. We will also repaint the name of the house on the gate to make that more visible as well. We’ll have a chat with our gardener to see if anything can be done with the hedge to make the house more visible from the road without compromising the privacy enjoyed by guests in the garden. The property

A Victorian semi detached property resting on the outskirts of the historical village of Conwy with views of Conwy Castle from the master bedroom and to some extent from the decking in the garden.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands.
