"Another great stay, our 3rd."
Lovely cottage in a good location, cosy and clean with everything you need.
-
"Amazing cottage."
Ideally situated in conway. Warm comfortable and excellent communication from owner

"Loved our stay,perfect."
Will recommend and look forward to staying again. Our 2 year old granddaughter even loved the seagulls.

"The accommodation was lovely and clean."
Great facilities. The hosts were brilliant. I had problems with the oven. Rang the owners and the husband came around very quickly. There was nothing wrong with the oven, just my stupidity unable to put it on. We had a lovely chat. The next day Sian came around with some gifts for our 10 year old granddaughter Molly. Molly was thrilled. What a wonderful gesture.. Parking was difficult at times. My wife and I are both 76 years old and my wife had difficulty coming back from town because of the steep hills. We have a very happy time and loved getting back to the house. Molly loved it there,

"We had previously been to this holiday cottage a few years ago."
It was good then and is good now. The cottage has good facilities (internet ,dishwasher, washing machine, freezer) and is very conveniently located with Conwy high st about a minutes walk away and the harbour about 5 minutes walk away.

"The cottage was all we hoped for and more!"
Ideally situated, had everything we needed to make a short stay comfortable and homely. We’d love to know a bit more about the history and origins of the cottage, being so close to the town wall . Great to have so much information about the area and recommendations for shops and eateries. Thank you.
-
"Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable, everything you need in the kitchen and freezer and washing machine in the outbuilding."
Parking is also good but you have to reverse up the street but it’s not a problem. This was our second stay here and would highly recommend it , just 5 minutes away from all the shops, cafes and of course the castle .

"This was our third stay at Ty Potiwr - we sincerely hope it won't be our last."

"The cottage was an absolute game changer."
The location was perfect. The facilities provided were superb. A lovely large property central to everything you could ever need. Fabulous views across the river, very friendly bars, superb restaurants and a castle to top it all off! The locals were super friendly and happy to impart their local knowledge. A gem of a place!
-
"Lovely cosy property, with a large kitchen to the rear and separate utility room with washing machine that I safely stored my bike away in."
Great to be a short walk away from everything in Conwy, and such a great base for walks and rides in the area. The road was closed by Openreach for a couple of days at end of my stay, so I did have to park away from the house in local car park at Mount Pleasant, but at £1 for overnight stay (6pm-8am) that wasn't too bad and not the owners fault.

"Lovely cottage located in a great place Only minus was it doesn’t have a washing Machine"
Hello the house does have a washing machine it is located in the utility room along with a freezer and Toilet and sink. Property Owner

"Cottages in Conwy can be quite small however Ty Potiwr is a deceptively large extended property with a homely feel."
. Comfortable living area, very well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom with a full sized bath.. Enclosed yard to the side of the property with outside seating was a real bonus.. Situated in a quiet cul de sac but literally a few minutes walk from the main high street, bus stops and train station.. Arfon & Siân were excellent hosts, on hand to help if required.. Conwy is a gem on the beautiful North Wales coast and Ty Potiwr is a great property from which to enjoy the town and wider area..

"Little bits of work a good handyman would sort out and make good but nothing ..."
Little bits of work a good handyman would sort out and make good but nothing to stop a great break and the banter with people on the wall

"The cottage is in a fantastic location, it is cosy, atmospheric and homely."
They children loved playing in the courtyard with their toys - we loved waking up to the sound of seagulls and in the shadow of the amazing town walls. The bathroom and bedrooms were nice with plenty of cupboard space and lovely nautical decorating themes. We loved the lounge/dining room, it was a fab place to spend our evenings, v comfy sofas. Conwy is beautiful, magical and endlessly fascinating and this was a perfect location to explore and enjoy this special place. A few areas need some attention - the fridge needs defrosting urgently, and some of the oven trays/chopping boards and the toaster need replacing as they are old and rusty. The external ‘utility’ is a very basic outdoor shed with some appliances, plus a toilet which we didn’t use as there was no soap/it was full of cobwebs. The single mattress is very soft and not supportive. Also the stair gate does not fit either end of the stairs so is very dangerous and should be removed/replaced with an appropriate gate that fits the stair spaces.

"Beautiful, spotlessly clean cottage with everything you need for your stay."
Located next to the castle walls with a side path which is ideal and perfectly safe for children to play. 2 minute walk to the harbour and to all shops, cafes etc. Very close to rail and bus connections. So quiet. The perfect place for a wonderful vacation. I would recommend.

"A fabulous cottage in an excellent location."
Stunning weather! Lovely added extras - milk, tea/coffee and Welsh cakes on arrival was a welcome extra touch. Highchair and stair gate available - perfect for our small family. Good sized rooms, well equipped and a reasonable price for the school holidays. We will never get tired of the drive in with the castle!!
-
"The cottage was beautiful a real home from home and the small gestures of a pint of milk and Welsh cakes on arrival was so thoughtful."
The cottage wa ideally situated to make the most of the local amenities and to visit my favourite places. I would use this cottage again. Thank you for its availability. The only disadvantage was parking was very tight with so many cars, but ideally we could park at the castle for £1.50 a night from 6pm - 8am, which saved a lot of parking anxiety. Would be good to give this information to other visitors.
-
"Very clean comfortable and well equipped cottage."
Good location handy for shops pubs etc. Was nice to have parking didn't mind having to reverse up.
-
"A lovely comfortable cottage, perfectly located within easy walking distance of a good selection of eating & drinking establishments."
Parking outside the cottage was very good. Conwy has an interesting quay side & lovely old castle and is within easy reach of other coastal resorts. We would stay again at this cottage. J. Smith.

"Lovely property, owners, very helpful."
Home from home. Parking was a bit tricky over the bank holiday weekend when most of the homes were in use but people were happy to move when required. Fabulous holiday all in all and would definitely book again.

Made a superb place to stay and explore Conwy and North Wales. Had a wonderful holiday and looking forward to returning later in the year to explore the places we ran out of time to explore this visit.

The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events, and fairs, including the Honey Fair, Seed Fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year; be sure to tour Conwy Castle and The Smallest House In Great Britain whilst in the area.
The dramatic Eryri (Snowdonia National Park), and unspoilt sandy beaches, make a wonderful day out, or simply take in the scenery from your doorstep, not forgetting shops and restaurants to fill a quiet afternoon.

Where you’ll be staying
CONWY
Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.
Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
