  • "Lovely, peaceful location with fantastic views."

Short drive to sandy beaches. Well maintained and comfortable cottage with very pleasant, helpful and non obtrusive owners. We loved this place. Just needs some literature on local walks or paths to the beach.

  • "Lovely cottage with wonderful views in a quiet peaceful location but still near enough to visit Abersoch and Phllwelli and local secluded beaches."

Great for walking/exploring. Very restful holiday. Enclosed garden great for dog. Lisa was very welcoming and accommodating and information sheets very useful. Maybe another one explaining how to use the Smart TV for luddites like us but otherwise absolutely great and would definitely recommend. Welcome gift of eggs and Welsh Cakes much appreciated too!

The surrounding area is stunning, the owners have made little paths through fields to a delightful pond where we sat watching all the wildlife. The location is perfect for all amenities and beautiful secluded beaches, we would highly recommended a stay at the cow shed.

  • "After leaving 3 days early due to me having an,accident i was told everything was ok."

Then i get a call to say i left blood on the bed, the owner had been told and she said it would be taken care of. We cleared up the best we could, i couldnt hardly walk. We had a taxi arriving. Were told we left dog poo .. there was none outside as we cleared it up. Dont trust this company they want to take money off me when the owner said it was ok as we left things. I wont use sykes again or the cowshed. I have asked them to send photos of what they are saying i owe them fore, not paying a penny until i get them and agree on anything.

Susan this is quite shocking to read! During your time here I made myself available to you 24/7. The cottage was immaculate when you arrived, the accuracy of the listing is spot on as per the 5 star reviews from every single guest prior to your feedback, and you yourself both said how beautiful it all was and thanked me profusely for my assistance whilst here. It was very sad that you had to cut your trip short and more so because of the injury suffered away from the cottage. However, the cottage was left in an utterly disgusting state, which I won’t go into here. I did not at any point say that it was ok how you left things, as I didn’t see the aftermath until after you’d left. In fact it was very distressing, a complete shock and a hugely costly affair to put right! Again I am very sorry for the upset of your accident but both myself and my property should not have suffered like this as a result. Property Owner

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
