"Very comfortable upside down house which confused the dog initially but he soon made himself comfortable."
Located in a very quiet area with lovely well kept houses.A longer walk to the seafront than we thought but we found a quicker way to shops through to main road Well equipped kitchen but no potato masher. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would definitely go back

"Strong unpleasant smell as soon as we walked in which became worse over the next 2 days."
We think it was the drains as it seemed to emanate from the bathroom. We told the owners but they didn't appear to be concerned. The house itself was OK, furniture could do with updating, not very comfortable and the dining room chairs were not suited to the very nice table. Kitchen was clean although cutlery needed to be washed before using. Pots and pans were mismatched. House is obviously prone to dampness as there were plastic dehumidifiers in every room. We were disappointed on the whole and left a day early, if we hadn't been visiting family whilst there we would have left even sooner.

"This was our second visit to Carisbrook, we obviously love it."
It has everything needed for a great holiday. Located near beautiful beaches and countryside. Our dog loved the garden space to run around in. Parking on site which we found was necessary. The house has everything for all ages including children. There is a TV in the living room and one also in the main bedroom. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with shower and a second with bath. I cannot fault this property it is amazing. Hopefully we will return in 2026.
So glad you liked Carisbrooke - hoping to welcome you again in 2026. Property Owner

"Carisbrook had everything required for a fantastic holiday, very well equipped kitchen."
Very comfy beds, plenty of storage for clothes etc. 2 bathrooms one with a shower and the other with a bath. TV up and downstairs and a big selection of books and DVD'S. Lots of bits and pieces to keep children occupied. The location of the property is close to beaches and the countryside with plenty to occupy all. We loved this property and would love to return again in the future.
Thanks for your lovely feedback. We hope you are able to visit again in 2026. Property Owner

"Enjoyed our stay, very comfortable home."
Facilities were very good. Short walk to supermarkets. Equally short distance to small group of lovely cafes. Lots to see in Llandudno.
Thank you for your feedback. Please do come and stay again. Property Owner

"Good value accommodation in a great location."
The beds were comfortable and the whole accommodation was lovely and clean when we arrived. The only minor negative was that the windows need cleaning both inside and outside, plus the garden needed some weeding/mowing. Thank you for a great stay in Llandudno.
Thanks for your feedback. We'll take on board what you said about the garden and windows. We hope you'll come and stay again. Property Owner

"Found the property to be broadly as described."
Liked the upside down feature. Could not fault the cleanliness, apart from what seemed to be a large amount of dog hair on the fairly new carpet, which rolled up when you moved your feet. Although this did not distract our enjoyment of the property. On the negative side there were a couple of windows on which the sashes would not close and the front door keep was loose making it difficult to lock, We managed to get one the windows to close with the aid of some WD40 Also did a temporary repair to the front door keep. That aside we enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.
Thank you for making us aware of these issues. We appreciate your feedback. Property Owner

"The house itself was very comfortable, beds, sofas etc but there needs to be more attention paid to cleanliness."
I had a dirty pillowcase holder. There were hairs in the cutlery tray, which is frankly vile, and the downstairs bathroom's extractor fan was covered in dirt, dust and cobwebs. A dirty pan lid was in the cupboard. The support under the upstairs shower was rotten and on one side there was black mould at the other. The shower upstairs needs updating too. The house requires a thorough deep clean. At the front there was gravel all over the driveway which made it very untidy. This should be swept up and tidied. In the back garden there was a huge bag full of garden rubbish (mentioned by a previous reviewer) that was still there. Half of the rear garden was gravel with weeds coming through and the other half was lawn which had not been cut for some time. With the wooden table and benches in one corner which would have to be carried out to the lawn, and with the busy A470 on the other side of the fence there was no way you could consider "al fresco" dining as mentioned by the owner. Space for 2 cars in the driveway? Would only be possible with two smallish cars. With regard to the kitchen a pizza tray and eggs cups would be a useful addition. The beds and sofas themselves made it quite comfortable but there is an air of neglect about the place which wouldn't take a lot of input and work to rectify. However, we place a lot of value on cleanliness and the property requires some work in that area. The score we have given accurately reflects our experience.

"The Garden needs sorting out, we were unable to use it."
Waste bins in each bedroom would be good

"The accommodation was fine, clean and tidy on arrival."
There was however a big let down, the garden! The lawn has not been cut for weeks. Much of the gravelled area had spilled over onto the paths, they need a right good sweep. The paths need weeding. In one corner by the bench was a pile of garden rubbish and in another a big builders sack has been left full of garden waste. No incentive to sit out in the garden... disappointing! Not returning.

"Ideal position, near good value supermarkets, 20 minute walk to seafront and only a 10 minute walk to church on Sunday."

"Delightful upside down property with a great suntrap in garden."
.. We had great weather.. Even managed to go bowling at the nearby green. Although on the main road the property was quiet.. Friendly neighbours too... A short walk to town and the aldi nearby was very useful. We enjoyed it that much we have rebooked to visit again in November.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"The house is in a great location and had everything that we needed very pleasant stay - however very disappointed with Sykes customer care I tried for 2 weeks to get hold of Sykes numerous phone calls opted for the call back 4 times which never happened, emailed them no reply."
Only thanks to the owner of the house getting back to me a few days before we went away .

"Nice comfortable house and beds to stay in for a long weekend away."
Fully equipped kitchen with all you need for your vacation. Unusual upside down layout with the lounge and kitchen upstairs which took a while for us to get used. The only thing I would suggest is getting is a mirror fitted in each bathroom as very difficult for the guys to shave, do contact lenses etc without one.

"We absolutely loved staying at Carisbrook."
It was the perfect place to chill out. The quirky upside down house was fantastic. It's a quiet estate, but when we did see the neighbours they were very friendly. We loved the short walk in to town and to the sea front. Craig y Don park (a short walk) is great too. It a great place to explore North Wales. Also, if you fancy a drink, the Cask and Apple in Craig y Don is a great pub, very friendly and cheap beer.
Really glad you enjoyed your stay. Do come again. Property Owner

"Just had a week in this lovely home from home, all we could ask for especially the bathroom upstairs with it being an upside down house."
Took some getting used to the stairs with us living in a bungalow. Our little dog loved it as much as we did. Not too far from all amenities. Hope to return to this property next year.

"It was what we look for in a place to stay and will be returning again next year"

"Fabulously spotless house Loved it’s quirkiness and the lovely large dining and lounge areas."
Would definitely stay again ! Just slight issue with kettle blowing the electrics but hopefully this would now be rectified x

Where you’ll be staying
LLANDUDNO
Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.
Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
