Perfect for our family to stay in, everything we needed was provided. We loved the views of the sea from the windows, and we could hear the sea at night too, so relaxing. Always found enough car parking outside the house even with our four cars. Cricceith is a lovely small town with great places to eat, lovely bakery and butchers as well as independent other shops.

  • "The shower temperature on the top floor could not be turned down."

The water was scalding, therefore could not be used, which defeated the idea of that floor being for families. The adults couldn't use it never mind the children. Also, the front bedroom windows could not be opened. Everyone tried! Made it very hot at night. Tried a fan, but the two in the house were very noisy. Apart from the above we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back (if the above is sorted). Fabulous location. Loved it.

We are sorry that you encountered a problem with the shower temperature, we will certainly look into this, and can only apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for bringing the windows to our attention, having had your feedback we can address this at the next turn around. We would encourage our guests to please contact the housekeeper during their stay ,so that we can respond to any issues immediately. Otherwise we are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Enfys, and of course would be pleased to welcome you back for a return visit. Property Owner

It's a great base for Criccieth and the surrounding area including the rabbit farm which is just down the road in a really picturesque location. Car parking is ample in front of the property. We have been staying in cottages in Wales for 16 years and this is one of the best we've stayed in, it's very homely and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. We had a beautiful welcome basket too on arrival which was a lovely surprise and milk and butter in the fridge. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for a lovely week, we would love to return.

  • "The house is fab it has everything we needed our only problem is the amount of rubbish 12 people generate while on holiday we eat and drink more and the bins only get emptied every 3 weeks and the green bin was 3/4 full wen we got there and one set of the recycling bins were completely full and the cleaning team forgot to come and put them out so we were having to go to the tip on our holiday with rubbish."

We also left 3 bin bags full of recycling cans and cardboard the lovely Sarah said she’d take them to the tip for us. When you have up to 12 people in a house most weeks you should be paying each week for your bins to be emptied ready for your next guests. it’s only £12.50 to get a bin emptied that’s not a lot considering how much we pay to stay there. I believe this is something that needs consideration.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your time in Enfys. We are very sorry to hear about the issues that you had with the rubbish. This most certainly should not have been the case and we can only apologise that the rubbish wasn’t dealt with before your arrival. We do try to ensure our guests have the best possible experience whilst staying in Enfys, and can only offer our sincere apologies again for the issues that arose. Property Owner

All the en suite bedrooms spread across the floors were perfect for our large family group. We particularly love the location of the house, right by the sea, with stunning views from all the rooms at the front, and the very large spaces inside the house were much appreciated. We spent most of our time in the downstairs front room but also enjoyed the upper front room - especially the new reclining chairs! It’s such a well-equipped house as well - we did a bit of cooking, and the kitchen has everything we needed! So many games and books as well, for the rainy days.

Thank you!! Great to hear that you enjoyed your second stay at Enfys. We really appreciate our guests taking the time to give us feedback- particularly glad you enjoyed the new reclining chairs- they do add to the sea/wildlife watching experience from the upstairs lounge don’t they! • "Fabulously positioned house, and one of the best “ decorated” we have ever stayed in!"

It’s facing a pebbly beach which was stormy most of our week, but the two lounges have beautifully placed chairs so you can dolphin spot from the windows. There is an amazing array of books about the area and relevant wildlife, huge selection of boxed games, and dvds ( adults and children’s). The kitchen is very well equipped. Huge dining room table, with smaller in kitchen. Great “ master suite” with stand alone bath ( had trouble getting enough hot water to fill) but the grandchildren loved it. A small seating area out back. We had 3 cars and never had trouble parking outside for free. We loved Criccieth- a “real” village, not touristy, but with a fabulous chip shop and ice cream place in walking distance. Lots of stairs especially to the top 3 bedrooms to walk off the food!! Great and very generous welcome pack. Having 2 Lounges would suit mixed age groups ( toddler toys and snooker table in top lounge) but plenty of comfy seating for 10 of us in the downstairs lounge. Recommend this house!

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Enfys so much, and that you loved Criccieth too-despite the not-so-good weather!! Property Owner

We had a problem with the top floor shower and the kichen tap was leaking but the plumber fixed them on the Monday. But a lovely property in a great location with wonderful views.

Apologies for the delay in our response, but we have been on holiday ourselves. We loved every aspect of the house - it’s beautifully decorated, really well kitted out and so comfortable. The views from the rooms at the front are awesome. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Marine Terrace is the perfect location in Criccieth, right on the sea front so a couple of steps and you’re on the beach! Excellent beach kit provided (beach chairs, umbrella, fishing nets). We were lucky enough to see dolphins and seals at sea in front of the house. There is also a lovely table and chairs at the front, where we would eat breakfast and watch the world go by. Most of the bedrooms are en suite - and spread over three floors - so perfect for mixed groups. We hardly heard a sound from above / below. Very safely conscious too - with fire doors and a pretty sophisticated looking fire alarm system. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house and we are already looking for visiting again! The welcome pack of bread, butter, jams, milk, Welsh cakes and Prosecco was a lovely touch and a nice surprise. The house was very spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. The pool table on the 2nd floor was great fun and the wildlife books and binoculars were great for dolphin watching through the big windows. We had a small issue with the electrics during our stay, but the owner came almost straight away to sort it out. Very comfortable for 7 people. The kitchen was well-stocked, the oven is great, and all it was missing was wooden spoons! The owner had put careful thought into Christmas decorations, and everything felt very seasonal. We especially liked the tree with sea creature ornaments. The only note is that the top floor sleeps 6 with only one bathroom.
