  • "Amazing place to stay with everything you would need."

Brought tea towels, toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid etc and none were needed as all were provided. Gift basket was a lovely touch. Getting parked outside the house is challenging but we parked up near the railway line or by blue china and both were a 40 second walk so not a big deal. Beach basically less then a minute away, dogs can go on the beach pass the life guard hut. Best bit was top floor hall window was clear view to the castle it was lovely seeing that lit up. Furniture was comfortable, TV in each room which pleased the kids. There is a lovely walk along the seafront if you go towards the castle and visiting David Lloyd George's grave and walking down the river was a lovely morning out.

Beautiful home within a stones throw of the beach. Lovely and clean, beautifully firnished and overall felt like our home. Lovely little community and the best fish n chips at Castles. Although we spent a lot of time exploring it was always lovely to step back into Galwad Y Mor. Cannot wait to come back ❤️

  • "We loved the house, it was clean and full of everything we needed."

The layout was perfect for us being fully open plan, we could easily all sit around the table for food, games, jigsaws..perfect. The location is spot on, literally at the beach and then five minutes the other way you're in the main street or the castle. We had great weather for October which obviously helped but we really loved it. I have to say the downstairs toilet with the sink in was loved by all! There were rather a lot of instructions upon leaving that we've not had at any other house we've stayed. Stripping all the beds, putting all towels and bath mats in a laundry bag and even putting out the bins. We all appreciate that it's a large house to clean but we normally have a 6/7bedroom house for the whole family and have never had this to do. We always clean round and take out rubbish and food etc, this just seemed a bit much. That said it didn't diminish any enjoyment it just made getting out for 10 a bit of a rush!!

  • "“Despite the modern amenities and convenient location, our stay at this holiday cottage was marred by several issues."

A significant security breach occurred when the owners entered unannounced, posing an escape risk to our dogs as the rear gate was left open. The interior revealed a lack of cleanliness with hidden debris and a dusty, malfunctioning fire. The sofa was in poor condition, stained and torn. The owner’s aggressive response to a genuine oversight was unprofessional. Despite attempting to address concerns, communication was ignored . Uncomfortable beds having to chase for the front door key that should have been on site having to strip our own beds as if we stayed in a hostel not a premium property further diminished the overall experience. It’s unfortunate, as the property has potential, but our stay was overshadowed by these significant drawbacks.”

All the bedrooms are a good size and the layout has been very well thought out. It is extremely close to the beach at Criccieth (2 minutes walk or less than 10 minutes walk if you need the dog friendly end). Plenty of on road local parking and close to some lovely cafe and restaurants. We would definitely recommend it and had a great time. North Wales itself is extremely pretty with a wide range of things to do and some spectacular scenery within Snowden national park.

Thank you for letting us stay in your property, parking was a bit of an issue we didn't give a 5 for the comfort as felt having spot light everywhere and no option of a lamp it didn't give a comfy feel we actually left early from the property, the shower in main bathroom changed temperature and scolded me - if it had been my daughter that would have been a real issue We look after various high end properties and never have any of them asked the guests to do the dishwasher, bins or strip the beds this is normally part of the changeover service The welcome basket was a lovely touch and could not fault how clean the house was

  • "Gwaled Y Mor was a beautiful, immaculate, very comfortable, well equipped holiday home very near the sea."

We had a lovely week here with 2 excited young children (4 and 2) and an excited dog! The house is a 2 minute (if that!) walk to the beach and castle. The outside patio area was private and big enough for the children and the dog to play and had a nice patio dining set for eating outside. Would recommend Dylans for a lovely meal and Cadwalladers for delicious ice cream. We also paid a visit to The Children’s Farm Park near Harlech, which was really good with a lovely play park and soft play. The children were able to feed the lambs and cuddle the baby goats. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend both the house and Criccieth.
