"Lovely, spacious cottage in a gorgeous town with everything you need on the doorstep."
We are a family of 4 (2 teens) and it was ideal to have lots of space but just be short walk to the beach, cafes, restaurants, take aways and a mini supermarket. Even in August we had no problems with parking and Criccieth is a great base to explore the area. We hope to be back.

"Lovely home , well equipped, however the procedure on leaving is a bit of a kaffufull."
All in all very pleasant, apart from some dirty knickers found in wooden chest in small TV room , which we left there !

"We enjoyed our stay very much at Llety Ednyfed ."
.... it was clean spacious, and comfortable with everything we needed, and a lovely garden area which unfortunately due to the weather we didn't use. It was nice to be on the High Street - being able to watch the comings and goings, and extremely central for all Criccieth has to offer. Not so great for loading and unloading - although we did manage to park not too far away for that short time, however that main road can get extremely busy and congested pretty easily with the coaches stopping at the hotel next door but one. The other snag was the ramp access at the back - leading up to the entrance. This was pretty steep.... so with heavy cases and if bad weather this could be a real problem for anyone with mobility problems. We didn't have any - but still found it a bit of a struggle, and not sure if this was mentioned anywhere in the write-up.

"The place was great except for one bar chair not working."
The ensuite room could do with darkened blinds as the light shines all night. Plus there is a grate on the road outside that band everytime a vehicle went over it. All day and all night. It was like chinese torture. We reported it to the council and they called us back the next working day. Too late for us but hopefully not for new guests.

More than that, it is really well situated to make the most of the Llyn Peninsula and surrounding areas. Highly recommended!

"The apartment was very well presented and we enjoyed the unusual layout."
It was very convenient to have three bathrooms and large bedrooms. We generally found the apartment very comfortable, but would have preferred curtains over the blinds in the bedrooms to block out some of the light in the morning. We parked opposite the house on the road, but due to the restrictions, could only stay there from 4pm until 10am (not really a problem). Criccieth is a lovely small town to stay in, and we enjoyed being there. We visited lots of places during our stay, and the weather was good enough not to stop any plans.

"Hi we had a lovely stay at No 19."
A light airy comfortable flat, outdoor area was great, nice to sit out with your G&T. We had everything we needed, but we could have done with a board game when it rained one afternoon. The local post office came to the rescue with a pack of cards.

"The flat is very spacious and the large living room, plus extra smaller living room are really useful."
It is clean and well stocked with crockery, cutlery and pans/utensils. The flat has been renovated and decorated to a high standard, and is bright and airy. The ensuite, bathroom and downstairs shower and toilet give guests lots of options. The ensuite shower is excellent, however care needs to be taken with the downstairs shower and tray, as within a few seconds of using the shower the water started to flood the floor. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are a good size. I used the front main bedroom and due to the lack of curtains, I did struggle in the early hours, as the sun poured in through the venetian blinds, woke me up and made it difficult for me to go back to sleep. Anyone who is planning on staying in the property is advised to take a black-out eye mask if they are sensitive to light when trying to sleep. The addition of black out curtains would make the stay completely comfortable, especially at the time of year we stayed, which was early June. The location is excellent, both for walking around in Criccieth, exploring the Llyn Peninsula, visiting Portmeirion. The outside space was very pleasant and a good place to sit out in as chairs and tables are provided.

"We loved our stay at Llety Ednefyd."
It was the perfect base for a long weekend in Criccieth, beautifully appointed with all the home comforts we needed. My son's loved the snug which they used as a games room while I enjoyed the tranquility of my own lounge. The facilities were generous with bathrooms on every floor, loads of storage for our belongings and plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen for food! Would highly recommend for families, we'll be back.

"Absolutely gorgeous house!"
Had everything and more that we could possibly need. Everything was lovely and good quality. Loads of space, especially having the little snug room that the kids could use if they wanted to watch a different TV channel. The showers are amazing! The little garden is a sun trap and lovely and peaceful. Lovely pubs and cafes all within walking distance. The fish and chip show opposite was very nice! There is a little steep path (about 3-4 paces) to get into the property but it wasn’t a problem for us but not sure about a wheelchair or a pram would be able to manage quite as easily as us. Parking was a mild inconvenience and there is parking opposite for an hour and then I never had a problem finding an another spot later on. The carpet shop at the front of the property has changed names and now has a new sign so bare that in mind if your using that as a landmark! I did find the strict instructions about leaving the property as clean as you find it or risk loosing the £150 good house keeping bond and stripping all the beds and having to be out by 10am a big headache while trying to keep 3 children occupied and not making anymore mess! Overall I would definitely stay in the property again.

"The ramp for access is very steep, it does state it’s not suitable for those with mobility issues but I found it difficult to use, it would not be suitable for prams or wheelchairs and you have to put the bins out every Thursday and the recycling boxes dragging them along a path with stone chipping the bin was quite heavy as I have a bad back but it states in holiday brochure they will charge you from the £150 good housekeeping bond if you don’t take the bins out and strip all beds."
I found this a hassle and the fact that you have to book out by 9.30am having stripped all beds and cleaned (I always leave a holiday home clean but felt added pressure because of the £150 good house keeping bond). But it was spotless and very comfortable and huge with two living rooms and three bed rooms and three bathrooms so is perfect for a family who can share the house cleaning. It was also very quiet despite being on the main road and I parked opposite with no problems for the whole week and it has a beautiful garden with seating which was lovely it provided toilet rolls and hand soap but you have to take everything else but that’s not a problem as there’s a shop in the petrol station to the right of the property open till late and Tesco in Porthmadog and Asda in Pwhelli
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As with old houses in any town in the country there are certain points of the location that cannot be changed, potentially due to the location as with Llety Ednyfed. The ramp as well as the Good Housekeeping Bond are noted on the webpage for guests to decide whether this apartment and the conditions of rent suitable for them and their needs. As with most holiday homes an initial supply of necessities are provided and for the housekeeping team to ensure a spotless and hygienic home for the next arrival, check out at 9:30 allows for a good through clean. However, we do hope that you enjoyed your stay in Criccieth and will return in the future.

"I was disappointed that fir a two week stay we were not made aware that there were ill be no change of towels or bed linen."
There is no electric shaver point n the property. Towels provided are too small and in a property for 6 people a two slice toaster was inadequate.
Thank you for your feedback. Due to Covid, we are unable to offer the usual mid way clean and linen change. However, we would have been more than happy to drop off fresh linen and towels on request. A shaver point is provided in the cupboard of all the bathrooms. We're sorry you were unable to find them. Thank you again for all your comments, which have been taken on board.

"Beautiful flat."
Feels like a large house rather than a flat. Photos don’t do it justice. Modern bathrooms and kitchen. Really lovely, suntrap garden. Path to door is short but steep so very elderly/frail might struggle. Prams would be fine.
Went to loads of beautiful beaches. Hired paddle boards in Criccieth and caught & cooked a spider crab. Ate lots of ice cream. Pwhelli has a fab fishmongers and wine shop. Criccieth has really good butcher and baker - went to bakers every day for fresh bread. Fresh veg at garage grocery shop is v good and only two minute walk.
Parking was nearby and easy and for drop off bags was in front of house.
Really, really good holiday.
Only negative - buy bigger towels!!! They are titchy.

"We had a fantastic stay at Llety Ednyfed, the place is extremely well situated and very comfortable."
The only challenge is that there isn’t parking close by and the ramp up to the house is very steep - good exercise though on both counts!
The owners were very helpful, we had a small issue with the television which we wanted to inform them about but they came to fix it straight away which was much more than we had anticipated!
We would definitely stay there again on a future trip to Criccieth.
