  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were constantly entertained by the changing character of the sea and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending or returning."

We found the instructions for certain things a little lacking and actually penned in some additions! Being a little unobservant we didn't notice the switch for the towel rail heater in addition to the one for the water heater, but the caretaker was diligent in getting us sorted. Instructions for the location of the outside bins could also have been more helpful and consistency in what is the left or right of the house - going in or coming out? At first we could not get the key to open the apartment itself but with a fraction withdrawal it worked and this technique worked fine thereafter. It would have been very helpful to have a rail on which to hang the hand and tea towels in the kitchen area - on the vertical surface alongside the bin would have been ideal.

..lovely views, in fact, staggering views! Nicely laid out with plenty of room. Good utensils and washing facilities though we are out every night anyway and only prepared breakfast. I do think putting salt and pepper there would help. I would have given this place 5 stars but it needs a better bed. It just wasn't comfortable which matters. If the bed was changed...we'd certainly stay there again.

Sitting in the lounge at high tide was like being at sea! Great position for the town with its shops and eating places and also for lovely walks. With bigger supermarkets nearby in Porthmadog. Plenty of free parking outside the apartment. The small road in front is very quiet. Lots of places around to visit including some stunning beaches on the Llyn Peninsula. The apartment was ideal for two and well set out to enjoy the views. It is comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Thank you for a really lovely stay. Highly recommended.

The flat was comfortable, clean and the shower was brilliant, it met all our expectations. We loved every minute of our holiday and even when we stayed in we could sit and watch and listen the sea. We saw 3 seals popping there heads up in the bay from our window, so I would recommend you take your binoculars if you are planning a visit. I did read on a couple of other feedbacks that the people in the flat above had been very noisy, but we never heard a sound from those living above, or below us. Its a great place to holiday and I cant wait to go back. Many thanks for the welcome gift milk and Welsh cakes, it was much appreciated.

Very peaceful and quiet at night. We had glorious weather but the large opening windows and blinds kept it comfortably cool. The only criticism would be that there wasn’t sufficient crockery and cutlery to make using the dishwasher a sensible option, so we washed up by hand and the kettle broke mid week and despite reporting it we didn’t get a replacement. However we will definitely be booking again as we were not put off by minor inconveniences.

The view from the large bay windows is stunning and we were blessed with excellent weather. All the amenities of the seaside town are easily accessible and there is much to explore in the area. The provision of some fresh milk in the fridge and the welsh cakes were much appreciated. Of course the property is two floors up and we'd forgotten to factor in lugging our bags but that was our only difficulty. Of course as an apartment there is inevitably some noise from adjacent flats. One of the reviews found this to be annoying but fortunately during our stay this did not present any problems and our neighbours were very considerate.

  • "The property location was excellent and we had everything we needed."

Our stay was unfortunately spoilt by constant noise from the apartment above. The property above sleeps four and very early every morning we would be woken by heavy footed people walking in the kitchen area of the above apartment which was directly over our bedroom. This sounded like baby elephants tramping up and down, they would also open and close kitchen drawers constantly which sounded like they were in the same room as ourselves. This would happen any time between 4am and 5am. It would then continue and regular intervals all day. On several occasions it would sound like they were dragging and dropping items of furniture around the room. It became very stressful at times and even on days when it was raining it was impossible to try and read a book and sit quietly and enjoy the view. We never actually saw anyone coming in or out of the property above us or we may have been able to let them know what a disturbance they were causing. We have used your company on lots of occasions however we will not be returning to stay in Llyn The Towers again because of our experience. Very disappointed ☹️

The one criticism us that we had an issue with the main door lock and it took us 20min to get in when we arrived due to the key turning in the lock. A resident in the building tried to help be having a go but to no avail then it finally unlocked. It happened again later that day so we text the caretaker mobile about the issue but recieved no response. The next day we decide to leave the apartment unlocked just incase we couldn't get in on our return and we felt very uncomfortable about this and it did spoil our day slightly as we where concerned of someone getting in the apartment. We took all expensive belongings with us which was a bit of a pain. If it wasn't for the lock issue, we would have had the most amazing time.

Right on the sea front with panoramic views of the bay from both the hexagonal sitting room and the bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are well equipped which gives a very modern feel to this period building. The bedroom is spacious and the bed comfortable and clean. Towels and tea-towels are provided which isn't mentioned the Sykes literature, nor is the iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Recycling is encouraged but only paper, cardboard, food waste and plastic, no mention of whether glass and tin cans can be included which would be helpful. We experienced one of the worst storms (Francis) in decades during our stay but even that wouldn't deter us from returning for another week. Criccieth is a nice friendly little town with a wide selection of eating places that take the Corona Virus precautions seriously.

  • "We did enjoy the holiday, and the flat has lovely views - but it isn't "gentle waves lapping the shore" as it is a shingle beach and on high tides and windy days (and nights!"

) it really is rather noisy - I know the sea conditions and sounds are normal, but as a light sleeper I might have thought twice about renting this property if I'd known it would keep me awake or wake me up during most nights. Combined with the noise from people walking around the flat above (including a small child running back and forth endlessly) and people banging doors and drawers at 6am, the peaceful quiet break we wanted wasn't as we hoped. The shower tray does not drain very well or quickly, meaning you stand in water almost to your ankles, and it was a worry that it might overflow so we only took short showers. There are small patches of damp on the front facing walls in both living area and bedroom, mostly between the window frames but also to the left of the bay window in the bedroom, with paint bubbling and in the bedroom if you brushed past, flakes of paint would fall off. This did not impact our stay, but I think the owners/maintenance people should be informed as if left, these will get worse over winter and have obviously been treated before and painted over. Despite all the above nit-picking, we did have a nice break and would return to the area, but I doubt we would book to return to this property despite the lovely views and comfortable bed.
