  • "Excellent cottage in a friendly village!"

My second visit this year. The owner has thought of everything in this cottage, making it a 'home from home' experience. Lovely welcome pack, including treats for the dogs. Lots to do and see in this area with stunning scenery. I have already booked another visit for next May.

  • "Cottage was lovely, very well equipped for self catering."

I liked the toothbrush holder and soap and shampoo holders in the shower, little things like that usually get missed in most holiday accommodation. Nice welcome pack, much appreciated. Comfy beds and sofas. The only thing that spoiled the holiday was the horrendous wet weather we had all week which couldn't be helped.

  • "A wonderful base to explore the Llyn peninsula, kitchen well equipped, comfortable beds & garden was adequate for our 2 dogs."

Outside cobbles needs attention & garden bench needs replacing but otherwise a lovely place to spend the week.

The cottage was clean , comfy and relaxing and in a beautiful spot . The David Lloyd George museum next door is very interesting and it's a great base to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula

  • "The cottage was clean and tidy, it has everything you need for your stay."

A great location to explore Llyn Peninsula.  Location on main street of village, but quite enough as not a throughfare route as village bypassed. My only frustration was asking a question the day before arrival. I called the number provided and was directed to getting a text messge back. I have booked through Sykes and found them to be ok. On this occasion not so. I will leave you to judge for yourself below the text message comms below. Menia Holiday Cottages, seem to be part of Sykes but for Wales only. My message to Menia Can you confirm Ivy House has a fridge/ freezer as per pictures and not just a icebox in a fridge. From Menia the follwing day. Hi. You are speaking with Andrew. Just so that I can pass data protection can I take your full name and booking reference please? My message to Menia As you took nearly a day to reply not great service. I was already travelling to cottage. I had with me the relevant info, address and combination for keysafe. Hiding behind Data protection, oh my god. I only wanted to know fridge info which the photo is open for the world to see. Thank you for lack of info. Read again on feedback about the property. Auto response from Menia Hi, thanks for contacting us today about your holiday! We have received your message and will get back to you as soon as we can. Finally no follow up from Menia Holiday Cottages

  • "Excellent small cottage virtually next door to Lloyd George museum."

Very clean and well equipped. Appreciated the welcome pack of Welsh butter, Welsh cakes, marmalade and butter. Small garden was not an issue for my two collies as footpath through woods adjacent to the river was very close. Likewise footpath to coast and Criccieth. Will be booking another visit for next year.

I'm very glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you next year. Property Owner

!! It would have been nice to have a teapot and less cobwebs, but that didn't detract from our enjoyment of the holiday.

Lovely clean cottage only one slight thing shower needs new silicon sealing. Village quiet, lovely walks down by the river, pub open Wednesday to Sunday please note does not serve food. All in all a nice relaxing week in a very scenic part of North Wales.

The cottage is well equipped has a small patio and garden gated for your little fur babies to run around. The beds were extremely comfortable and bedding of a good quality. I would definitely recommend Ivy Cottage and we stay there again

  • "No cleaning products, recycling bin inside but none out dog poo in garden what there was of it"

Thank you for your review, I have now stocked with cleaning products, and although I had checked the garden for dog poo I must have missed some, sorry for that. The outside bin is for waste & mixed recycling, I use a company called Gaskells who do the separation for me, saves having 4 bins outside. As for the size of the garden there's not a lot I can do about that, but I'm planning to improve it with decking or a terrace to make it more usable. If you come back there will be improvements.
