  • "This was a very pleasing Apartment (No, 2) and we found no faults with it at all."

My wife and I relaxed and used our time to explore the area around Criccieth. If you want to go on the narrow gauged railways, I suggest you book in advance, we didn't and could not get a seat. The only downfall of this apartment booking is the on-street parking. We returned one evening and the only space was marked with cones. We ended up parking on the seafront. Later we found that the cones were removed for our neighbour's husband to park in. First come, first served did not apply for us.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to leave a review - it is much appreciated. Apologies that you were inconvenienced with the parking - it isn't a regular occurrence, but our neighbours have been moving house to another part of the village during May / early June and have used cones on occassions to help with parking so they can load their car. They have now completed their house move, so it shouldn't happen again. Kind regards and take care, Arwel. Property Owner

Information for arrival was clear and accurate, response to questions and help during the week was quick and always courtesy. The apartment is a wonderful space. Comfy, roomy for two, well equipped and an amazing location. Loved eating breakfast with a view of the sea. The bed was super comfy and the living space was ideal. A great location - 30 secs to the beach or the coastal path, a few minute to the castle or the local chippy. Some amazing coastal walks nearby and all you need from supermarkets and amenities just down the road in Porthmadog. We had a very relaxing stay, all thanks to this apartment. Thank you.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave feedback - it is much appreciated & glad you had a great experience. Thanks again for your custom. Property Owner

A Nice Clean Comfy Apartment with Brilliant Facilities. An Ideal Base for a Holiday. There is one minor suggestion I would like to suggest Please. Could a Stool be Provided for the Raised Kitchen Storage/Table bordering the Kitchen/Living Room to give us a Choice of Eating our Meals at the Kitchen Storage Table Area if we want, it would make such an ideal Convenient Eating Area, another advantage being less chance of Spilling the Food or Dropping the Plate, Cup etc going across the Living Room Carpet to the Table if You had Your Meal at the Raised Kitchen Storage/Table instead. (Let me Please Make Clear the above Possible Mishaps I mentioned Didn't Happen to me). Thank you.

Thank you for staying with us again and also for taking the time to leave feedback. Definitely look into your suggestion about having stools where the main kitchen worktop is. Kind regards, Elen. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely apartment that is very close to the beach and a short walk into the centre of Criccieth."

It's the second time we have visited and stayed here and we have always manged to park close to the property. We had lovely weather in July so were able to go to the beach to swim and have a picnic most days and it was great to be able to walk back to the apartment as it was so close. As expected, the weather was mixed in October but we were able to do lots of walking along the coastal path and in the local area. On the evenings when we didn't cook we ate out locally and can highly recommend Poachers restaurant on the High Street (delicious food, but you need to book well in advance as it is very popular), Castle Fish and Chip shop (short walk from the apartment, take away only, the queue can be very long but it's worth it for great fish and chips), The Prince of Wales, cosy pub on the High Street (hearty pub grub, big portions and great beer). We also visited Dylans which is in a lovely building overlooking the sea. In the summer we had drinks on the decking by the beach which felt like being abroad. We also ate at the restaurant and although we quite enjoyed the meal we thought it was pricy for what it was. You need to book well in advance to eat in the evening but it was easier to get a late lunchtime (4.45) booking. We really enjoyed both our stays in Criccieth so hope to be back next year.

We would definitely return to this wonderful apartment as there is still a lot for us to see in the area which we never got around to seeing this time.

Lovely walking trails to the east (Porthmadog) and west (Pwllheli). Snowdonia National Park is only a few bus rides away. Criccieth is famous for its castle which ruins can also be visited, amazing views from the top. Heritage railway close by (trains depart from Porthmadog). We also visited Beddgelert, another nice village by the river.

The road outside was extremely quiet and safe. We managed to park directly outside the door which was really convenient. As the apartment is on the first floor we were able to leave the sash windows open during the hot weather. The apartment is a very good size, in fact if the settee was a sofa bed it could easily accommodate 4 people. The kitchen was very well equipped and had additional surprises of tea towels, cloths, soap and washing up liquid. The communication with the owner was very clear, she Elen was accommodating with any queries, she allowed us the key for the backyard so that we could store our bikes during our stay. I would highly recommend this apartment and I would stay here again.

We were able to park right outside and it was a quiet and peaceful area of the village. The kitchen could have been better equipped, there was no strainer or sieve and no grater for example. The tv signal was weak and the BBC picture kept breaking up but the other channels were OK. These issues did not soil our holiday however and we had a great week. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for September. The owners live only a short distance away and were very helpful when we contacted them. There are lots of things to see and do in the area such as Portmeiron, the highland steam railway and many castles to visit, the apartment is ideally situated for these.

Criccieth is a great centre for visiting castles, railways, gardens and is connected by a train line too so you can leave your car at the property for the week. There are sea walks right from the front door and a castle within 5 minutes. I’d recommend it.

  • "The flat was better than expected."

We had everything we needed in the kitchen area, with plenty of crockery/cutlery to use in the dishwasher. The lounge area has new furniture/carpeting, not reflected in the pictures and is more modern. The double bed was very comfortable, with ample storage for a week in the wardrobe/drawers. When we arrived the flat was impeccably clean, the cleaning lady is a credit to the owners! The only tiny, tiny thing I would have liked, would be a coat hook. As we did a lot of walking, we had wet coats and there is nowhere to hang them. Location is excellent, when eating at the table on the right hand side you have a full sea view, which is great when eating breakfast! Criccieth is only a short walk away and parking was not an issue. Whilst we were there the owners were carrying out all the necessary H&S checks and fire alarm/detector tests, which is reassuring to know that they are fully regulation complaint. In summary, this is a great flat, in a great location, and is well serviced.
