  • "Nice property in a great location for north wales, Snowdonia/Eryri and Anglesey."

Lovely, well stocked and comfy accommodation perfect for me and my dog for a week! Lidl and Tescos are both a few minutes drive away (Lidl has a fast EV charger) and the beach just a short walk away. I had takeaways delivered (Harbour View fish and chips were very nice!) and each night watched the beautiful sunsets from the sofa! Others mentioned an issue with the fencing re dogs but it wasn’t an issue for my dog… The property owners were very nice and helpful, we didn’t have any issues but felt they would have dealt with anything quickly had we needed them to. Overall a great little find, we’d happily return again!

  • "We had a lovely stay at Sunset Sands, first impression was set out nicely with a modern clean feel, pillows and Mattress i think could do with being replaced as not the best, i had to go to tesco to purchase new pillows for myself as i believe they were maybe feathered and no support."

the place had a lovely feel to it, the cupboards were well stocked with all you need and more, the appliances were all modern and easy to work, this apartment had everything you would need for your stay, one worry as a dog friendly stay was the fence panels at the back that took my one dog 10 minutes and she was through it, with a train track to the back think might be an idea to fill in the panels, there is a fence before that but didn’t know until i had to go a fetch my dog. lovely grass area to the side to toilet the dogs and just give them a walk around, plenty of places to walk going left or right along the beach, lots of pebbles and rocks. the train can be heard and seen from this apartment but it’s not every 5 mins and didn’t bother us at all. The views from here are lovely beautiful sunsets over the water it was stunning. i would stay here again and i would recommend.

Thank you Julian for your feedback and are so glad you enjoyed Sunset Sands and would return. Unfortunately we are governed by the complex's management company and we are not allowed to put in a solid fence as it has to be in keeping with the other apartments. We try to make it as clear as possible though the photos. James & Kate Property Owner

  • "A great location for visiting lots of places."

Great to go to the closest beech. A very easy walk or cycle into Conwy and Llandudno or to get the train. Good local busses. It is a very quiet location, as other people staying there seem respectful of other tourists and of the local residents. The trains run during the day but are not noisy as they are going slowly into the station. Very well equipped kitchen, with pod coffee maker and everything you need and more. Comfortable bed. Comfortable sofa, good WIFI with sky tv. There is a nice outside seating area which could do with better seating, for two people to have loungers rather than one. A good place to stay.

  • "Where does one begin."

Only two dinner plates for three people No sharp knife for cutting veg/fruit etc and no serving spoons only spaghetti spoon. Difficulty reaching into some wall cupboards and spices etc on top shelf, presumably not for visitors use. Toilet flushes okay sometimes and then you get a continuous flush which takes an age to correct. The shower is difficult to get in and out with a fairly high step, which is not good for people with arthritic limbs. Lovely bed linen but the mattress has seen better days, it's hard so that you can feel the bed base which wasn't bolted together so we had to do it or we could have ended up on the floor. Springs sticking out down one side and the creeks were dreadful on turning and getting in and out of the bed. All that being said it's time it was replaced. The brochure pictures are not identical to the actual apartment i.e. chair in lounge, pouffe missing, bed in different place and wardrobe replaced with a small hanging cupboard. Window frame needs a good clean as something like glue is stuck to it. A positive being a vast amount of cost hangers which is a bonus to some hotels. In our opinion it's vastly overpriced at over £1,000 a week particularly with the summer season just around the corner Personally I think someone from your offices should be doing spot checks on the properties you are advertising for cleanliness and value for money. I'm aware that the property is on the market for sale but should be in a better condition than it is

Close to the Beach, shame you couldn’t walk straight on to it but the dogs adored it anyway. Good base for Conwy and Llandudno. Slightly lacking in pubs in Deganwy itself, but The Quay Hotel bar and The Chinese (Nikki IPs) were a treat. Only downside was no working washing machine and Welsh water pipe problems on last day. Fantastic relaxing holiday.

I Felt the general cleanliness could have been better (dirty skirting boards, dirty water left inside the washing machine door seal. The bathroom looks tired and needs some attention, the toilet seat, for example, was loose and unable to be tightened. Unfortunately, the dishwasher and coffee machine did not work but the host did respond to these issues. It would be really useful if the information pack contained more information on local attractions/places to visit during good and bad weather. (The host was a fountain of knowledge regarding places to visit when they came to replace the coffee machine). Some small changes could go a long way to making this a very positive stay.

Thanks for you feedback Matt, it was nice to meet you. The coffee machine was replaced the next day and I offered for the plumber to come in and fix the error message on the dishwasher, however you declined. I am sorry the electrical items decided to stop working well you were there. Thankfully its all fixed now. I have updated the house keeper with your feedback and will also take your advice of leaving a few local websites of ideas for things to do in the area and a list of our favourite places to eat. The toilet seat swivels around. There is no soap tray in the shower. No extraction fan in the bathroom. The skirting/pipe covers are covered in old dust. The room thermostat is false reading about 10 degrees out. Must be costing a fortune on over heating. The TV is ancient. The stand is taped up with duct tape. and tv screen is leaning forwards making poor viewing. 1990s sky box with free view only. There is no tv internet connection to the TV. No tv apps avaliable. Hardwire only and there is none..basic free view channels. No apps. It rained all week..No fault of yours but the tv and broadband was useless. Unacceptable for the rent your charging. The wardrobe back und the wardrobe drawer bottoms are hanging off Broadband won't reach the main bedroom.Pretty much a tired an unloved flat in the middle of nowhere rented out at an extortionate fee. The coffee machine water tank was half full of green Algea water.Shocking. There was old crumbs under the settee. The drawer under the cooker is covered in old grease and cooking stains. Trains pass every 15 minutes that shake the foundations. Parking is akin to parking in a sardine tin. Ridiculous. We left the property cleaner than we found it.Lazy cleaners. Overpriced and under maintained accommodation. One pub in the town £5.50 a pint and £14 for a fish finger sandwich and £18 for burger and chips. Middle of nowhere. Cheaper for a week in Benidorm. Lovely bonus of a little welcome pack when we arrived. As a dog friendly property, would suggest adding some sort of mesh over the fence outside (owner of 2 small dogs who could fit through easily). Property had all we required for our stay. And in the bathroom, the floor needs a repair where it seems a smaller sink pedestal was fitted leaving a gap around it. But overall we would come back again, we loved our stay there. Sunset Sands is a beautiful well kept apartment in a lovely location. Just a short walk to the beach, within a few minutes drive from either Llandudno or Llandudno Junction. Plenty of amenities for you if you need them. The advert states there will be train noise. Don’t be out of by this, there 2 or so an hour and it’s hardly noticeable. My only grumble is that it does advertise having Sky TV, which is true. But there’s so few channels to choose from it may as well be Freeview on a normal television. (But if that’s my only complaint, then all is good.)

Thank you Jonathan for all your feedback. I am glad you had a relaxing stay and enjoyed Sunset Sands and the surrounding area. I guess our thinking behind the basic Sky is it gives our guests chance to use the record functionality which we think makes it better than Freeview and also provides a few additional channels. Thanks for allowing us to bring 3 dogs, who all enjoyed playing on the beach and frolicking in the waves. Parking could be an issue if you bring more than one car. The property

Overlooking the mouth of the River Conwy estuary, with views beyond towards Conwy itself, is this beautifully decorated ground floor apartment, Sunset Sands, located in Deganwy.

Ideally suited for a couple or small family, this property boasts gorgeous views and is close to all that this fantastic part of North Wales has to offer.

DEGANWY

Conwy 2 miles; Llandudno 3.5 miles.

The town of Deganwy, on the banks of the River Conwy at the mouth of the Estuary, is a very popular holiday destination. Deganwy has a marina, a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and retains the ruins of Deganwy Castle, built in 1082 but later demolished. There is an abundance of activities to suit all interests on offer in this area; from sea fishing, walking and climbing in the Snowdonia range to enjoying the castles, mines, beaches and gardens of this beautiful stretch of the North Wales Coast. Deganwy is only a few miles from the holiday resorts of Conwy and Llandudno; Conwy boasts a medieval castle, town walls and a marina, plus winding streets which offer something for shoppers and diners alike. Llandudno was very popular during the Victorian era, and this is evident in the architecture and the very impressive promenade. The town also has a pier with family attractions, a theatre and for the more adventurous, a dry ski slope! Between Deganwy, Llandudno and Conwy, this area has so much to offer the entire family.
