  • "This property is in an absolutely stunning location."

Right on the beach with a small park behind, mountain views and sunsets over the sea, gorgeous all around. I loved waking up in the morning and sitting on the decking with a brew. We were very fortunate with beautiful weather and lucky enough to see dolphins every morning. The property itself is quaint but for me the cheap furnishings let it down, things like the mattress not fitting our double bed leaving a gap at the bottom, the dining chairs the wood is splitting which caused scratches on our children’s legs, the shower leaking so the pressure is bad, other small things like that. One thing to note is that the oven was practically useless which was a huge problem for us as we spent £200 on shopping to cook all of our meals but the oven was so poor we ended up eating out as much as possible, and as there are no amenities open in March nearby this meant having to drive to different locations, which wasn’t part of our plan at all. When we were on our way we did call one of the numbers on our booking confirmation to be told we shouldn’t be calling that number and to call the other - so we did with no response. It wasn’t clear that the property was just going to be open upon arrival but we found that out when we got there, so I think check in has some room for improvement - a text message would go a long way. We did contact the vendor twice during our stay; once when we arrived and unpacked our belongings and we unfortunately came across some (very) personal items left behind from a previous occupier in one of the bedside table drawers (luckily ours and not the children’s!). The vendor did apologise saying the cleaner must’ve missed it. This left us feeling as though the property hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly prior to our arrival and wasn’t a great start to our stay. The 2nd time was to see if there was a way to turn the temperature up in the hot tub as the water wasn’t warm enough and uncomfortable to sit in during the cold March evenings once the sun had set. We have stayed in a few places with hot tubs and this has been the only one I’ve not been able to go in once the kids had settled for the evening as the water wasn’t hot enough to stop me from shivering. The vendor advised us that there was no way to turn up the temperature which was another disappointment during our stay. Overall, the location is amazing but due to the issues we had, we feel our experience could’ve been better and we won’t be returning.

Lovely setting right on the beach. The hot tub is also a great feature. Just a shame many of the local amenities were closed for the season.

  • "The location is stunning and has great beach access."

Fantastic views! The flat had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and was very clean. The bathroom is modern and was very clean. Plenty of towels. The roof in the living room leaked when it rained not only during the storm. The carpet in the dining area is in need of cleaning/replacing The hot tub was great especially at night with clear skies. Temperature was controlled by the owner and it was on the cool side. Both the double mattresses are in need of replacing. It was lovely to hear the sea at night when going to sleep and on waking! The steps up to the flat can be slippy when wet and need grip plates on them. We had a great time with local walks and time on the beach/painting from the patio. Caernarfon airport is great for lunch or coffee. Airport museum good to!

Thank you for your feedback. I gave you my mobile number to call me if you had any issues, you should have phoned me about the temperature of the hot tub or the apartment. I asked you on the Monday if you were warm enough with the heating on 2 hrs in the morning and 3.5 hours in the evening. . No rain has come in through the roof before. We are waiting for it to rain to see where the problem might be as it is a new slate roof. It is the end of the season and as I explained to you, we have had the worst year to date for damages and the filth that has been left behind for us after people leave. We only have a 5 hr window to clean, and yes I have had to scrub the carpet. We are aware of all the work that needs doing there but thank you for highlighting them in your feedback. Property Owner

  • "There were lots issues, broken plug socket in hallway, dirty George Foreman grill, dirty bathroom oven pans, dirty glass in bathroom, dirty toilet bush, mattress too small for the bed frame, headboard in other room not attached to bed, gate to use to gain to beach was not family friendly (not easy to open and close) and lastly the hot tub was not safe to use, although the own explained it was."

The engineer who visited on Friday as we left on Saturday said it was unsafe. General maintenance of this property is poor and botched. I logged a complaint with Skye’s who contacted the owner, as the owner has not responded Skye’s will not take any of the concerns forward and chase the owner. Extremely poor service from both the owner of the property and Sykes.

I will try and keep my response positive, as instructed by SYKES. 1.The engineer refutes your claim that he had told you that the hot tub was unsafe to use. 2.I cleaned the property with another lady prior to your stay. I cleaned the bathroom, and the kitchen. It took 4hrs for 2 of us to clean the apartment. After your stay it took 5hrs for 2 of us to clean the apartment. I suppose you didn't see the vacuum in the hallway. It strikes me as quite baffling when some people who stay at swn y mor states that it is clean and well equipped etc,and then when there is damage at the property people lie or leave early due to a so called family emergency. |sometimes reviews and feedback are a reflection of what is going on in peoples lives. You had my mobile number like everybody else that stays at Swn y Mor,but you chose to use the fact that an engineer came to fix the hot tub, which you had used all week to try and get a refund. Even supplied my husband with a fishing rod as he had not fetched his. The appartment itself was comfortable with everything you could need provided. Smart TV wifi etc for the darker evenings. And the location directly on the beach was perfect for a view from the decked seating area or of course the excellent hot tub. An ideal place for a family holiday. We definitely plan to return.

  • "Absolutely lovely apartment, right on the shore line at Dinas Dinlle."

The location couldn't have been better, and the hot tub, especially at sunset was idyllic. Not too far either to reach other towns and places in North Wales and the Llyn Peninsula. There were a few niggles in the apartment (which, ironed out would make this 5 stars instead of 4 for me), and the heating just seemed to work when it wanted, but otherwise a very pleasant stay was had by all.

Thank you for your feedback. When I spoke to you during your stay, you only mentioned 1 niggle, the tap in the kitchen. The heating was on 24hrs a day, but it is thermostatically controlled, so maybe that's why it was not on. If you would have popped into the shop downstairs, we could have looked at the heating. If we don't know we cant sort it. May i suggest if in future you have niggles to complain about ,that you communicate with the owners or managers on the day, so that they can be sorted out. thank you Property Owner

Had an issue with hot tub towards the end of the holiday which was disappointing after all the money we paid. We also had our travel cot removed toward to end of our holiday for no Reason?

Thank you for your feedback .Pleased you had a lovely week. The issue with the hot tub was, as you are aware ,that it had a large amount of sand in it,we could not leave it on or the pump would have broken, which would have meant that we would have had to replace the hot tub. We did offer ,to empty and clean the hot tub for a fee,but you refused. As for the travel cot,we were not aware that you were using it, Property Owner
