"Fantastic place, the photos don’t do it justice as it’s been updated since the current photos."
On arrival there were cut fresh flowers, homemade Bara Brith and the heating had been popped on so it was very cozy. Communication with Mrs Jones was spot on and at the end of a phone if needed. Great place for exploring North Wales and even the weather was good. Definitely going to go back as didn’t finish getting around everything we needed to do. The cottage has everything you need, would highly recommend.
-
"The cottage is well situated with everything we needed for our stay and look forward to using it again in the future."
The owner was very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you for your kind words! Property Owner
-
"The cottage was great with lovely views."
We sat out every afternoon after some very picturesque walks very relaxing. The cottage was very homely and had everything you required for a weeks self catering.
-
"Cosy property with good quality mattresses and pillows, just what is needed after a hike in the mountains."
The garden has stunning views! The owner is friendly and welcoming. The property is well maintained and provided a great base for us to explore parts of north Wales from.
-
"Communication with the owner about the key collection was easy and we found the property easily with the directions on the booking."
The property is in a stunning location with mountain views on a quiet working farm. There is a nice grassed area outside and a picnic bench for alfresco dining. The cottage comes with many ‘extras’ such as dish washer tablets, washing up cloths and liquid, tea, coffee and sugar. The homemade scones and jug of milk in the fridge, as well as fresh flowers was a nice touch. The beds are comfortable, all with clean sheets, and plenty of fresh towels for the family. Mrs Jones checked in on us to check everything was ok. There is a strict 9am checkout which was fine for us because we had a long drive home. A very pleasant stay.
-
"Superb accommodation meeting all our needs."
Lovely owner who was super helpful. This property is in an amazing location perfect for visiting Snowdonia and other attractions in North Wales.
-
"We fully enjoyed our stay."
It was a bonus to be on a working farm during lambing season so we could see the lambs. Mrs Jones was very welcoming and helpful. She made sure we were all okay and asked if there were any problems but of course there were no problems because everything about the cottage is very practical and thought through. It's a lovely location too, away from the crowds and traffic in Betws Y Coed. If we were to stay in the area again I would definitely want to stay in this property again.
-
"A lovely little cottage, cosy and with all the implements you need."
The welcome scones were delicious, thank you Menna. Very peaceful. So much to see and do in the area from the coast at Llandudno to Snowdon itself, spectacular. The Conwy and Swallow falls were in full flow and the steam train from Porthmadog to Beddgelert an absolute must such a pretty village
-
"Well provisioned property with stunning views."
Owner very welcoming. Very cosy and comfortable. Would recommend.
-
"We had a lovely time at Ty Isaf Penrhyddion."
The owner was very warm and welcoming, she was only a phone call away and responded immediately if you needed anything, she even provided cakes, milk, tea, and coffee, so we could have a cuppa after our journey , It was immaculate throughout, the facilities were brilliant , the owner had thought of everything. The property was in a beautiful location the views were incredible, and it was so peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this cottage again, didn’t want to leave.
-
"Very nice location indeed."
Owner very helpful. Views across the mountains are absolutely superb. An ideal location for radio amateurs with easy access to many open sites of both height and interest not to mention the level lawn adjacent to private vehicle parking with raised outside table and seating.
-
"Thank you for a lovely stay in stunning surroundings."
The owner gave us a warm welcome and we enjoyed homemade banana bread on our arrival. All facilities are as described and very comfortable. Our only wish - that there was a window looking out onto the mountains from the lounge area!
-
"The property was worthy of 5 stars, it was as described, beautifully laid out and a joy to stay in."
As a person with restricted mobility I did have a couple of issues, the sofas which looked comfortable were not for me because they were very low and I would have had difficulty getting off them! Also the step into the shower cubicle was about 11” which made it inaccessible for me. Saying this the property is NOT described as ‘disabled friendly’ so, perhaps I should have asked more questions before booking? Our dog thoroughly enjoyed her stay and it as nice to know that the garden was securely enclosed. The scenery is stunning.

"We had an excellent 5 day stay here…."
Secluded away from the world this little gem is worth a visit. Walking routes around the area are fab close enough to leave the car behind with the exception of snowdon which is around 30 mins away. Comfort wise couldn’t fault it…. The bed is amazing had the best sleep so comfortable…. The hosts are also very nice to speak to, the added bonus of fresh milk and cakes on arrival were much welcome. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning at some point in the near future
-
"A peaceful haven with great views over Macnno valley and towards Moel Siabod and the Glyderau."
A haven because when the storm brewed up it remained peaceful and cosy inside despite it looking like armageddon outside! Had a really comfortable stay with all the necessities that one needs to rustle up good meals and replenish ourselves before heading back out into the mountains. In short we loved it and will doubtless find ourselves heading back in the not too distant future. Many thanks, Jamie, Clare, Mena and Mookie

"A cosy spacious cottage in a stunning location."
We really enjoyed our week here, despite some pretty atrocious weather at times. The view from the cottage is beautiful and the setting remote and peaceful. This is a real ‘getaway’, which is also extremely well equipped - including a tumble dryer for which we were very grateful. On arrival there was fresh milk in the fridge and freshly baked cake in a tin, the cottage was spotless, and thanks to really thick walls and presumably some very good insulation, always cosy despite the exposed setting. Highly recommended!
-
"Lovely cottage and setting."
Clean and comfortable with all we could need. The photos do not do justice to this cottage, it's very spacious and well laid out. Mrs Jones is very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
-
"Had a fantastic stay with my 11 and 9 year old, great hosting from the owner Mennea who was always available and made the stay extra enjoyable."
Lovely property with fantastic views ideal location for exploring and visiting North Wales would highly and happily recommend a stay at this property will definitely look to come back again.
-
"Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location."
Stayed for one week 3 adults & 2 small children and it was perfect for us. The host communication was excellent throughout our stay. The homemade cake & flowers upon arrival started our holiday off perfectly. Facilities within the cottage are excellent. Modern facilities throughout. Very spacious property and everything is on ground floor level. Car parking for 2 cars on site. Wifi is free and a good connection speed. The views from the cottage are superb. Local walks are straight from the doorstep. It is on a working farm so the sights & sounds early morning are superb. Information leaflets are plentiful within the cottage for places to go or eat out. There is a utility room separate from the cottage with a freezer, washing machine & dryer, bbq and fold up chairs. All in all we had a fantastic stay in a wonderful area of North Wales. We will definitely return to this property with the possibility of hiring out the cottage next door as well as that is also excellent. Thank you again.

"Very nice cottage, although having a folder with cottage info in it would have ..."
Very nice cottage, although having a folder with cottage info in it would have been useful, eg that the freezer etc was outside, instructions how to operate the TV in the twin bedroom, etc
-
"The property is beautifully situated with stunning views from the enclosed garden right across the valley & walks from the doorstep, much appreciated by our daughter's dog!"
The short drive from the main road up one track lanes (with passing places!) gives you that lovely feeling of being right in the middle of nowhere, but nearby neighbours are reassuringly on hand too. At night, it's peaceful and serene, with distant baaing, mooing and hooting to lull you to sleep. And yet within c.15 minutes, you can be in Betswy for top-up shopping, eating out & a lovely pint! The accommodation was extremely well equipped with all you'd need and more, beautifully clean everywhere. Beds were very comfortable and the 2 bathrooms ideal for our group. A huge tv came in useful for the occasional wet evening! The owner was instantly responsive by text for any queries and very approachable and helpful at all times. We'd all have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this charming Welsh idyll and would be delighted to return.
-
"We had a fantastic stay here."
The cottage was comfortable, clean, well equipped and in a stunning location! The online pictures are deceptive as the cottage is much bigger than it looks! We fitted 4 adults, a 4 year old and a dog in it perfectly! The owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble! We are already looking to book our return visit!!
-
"Lovely cottage in a beautiful idyllic location , great views & superb walks !"
The owners are very helpful and friendly .Thank you for a very enjoyable experience - The Richardson family , Lancashire .
-
"About 1 1/2 miles from main road but so worth it for idyllic situation."
Still only 10 mins by car from Betws-y-Coed & all it’s facilities. Cottage spotless, comfortable, well equipped, self contained but delightful owner next door if required. Marvellous views. Great to sit out & watch sun go down over Snowdonia accompanied only by bleating of lambs & birdsong. So relaxing!!
-
"Lovely owner and property."
Stunning views and easy access to National Park.
-
"Really lovely property everything you need is here furniture and fittings excellent"
-
"We had a wonderful stay in this outstanding accommodation which was by far the best we've ever stayed in."
Mrs Jones is delightful and she went the extra mile by decorating the cottage ready for Christmas and leaving a Christmas cake, wine and milk for us. The setting is stunning - magnificent views and the peace and quiet we needed after the rush of city life. And just to add to our wonderful experience was the birth of twin lambs the night before we left. We strongly recommend this accommodation which was extremely well equipped - we wanted for nothing. We can't wait to return!
-
"What a beautiful, comfortable, well equipped cottage ."
Situated in the most beautiful scenic area. We couldn't fault it. Mrs Jones was such a lovely lady. The cottage is a credit to her. If you enjoy a walking holiday the this is the place for you. We had a fantastic week. One day of rain all day , otherwise a good week for the weather. We have stayed in alot of cottages in North Wales over the years , but this has to be my favourite . Will Definitely be booking again .
-
"This barn conversion has been cleverly done to provide extremely comfortable facilities."
The host obviously wants to make us very welcome and everything one could possibly need is there. The views of the mountains and surrounding countryside is spectacular. We haven't used Sykes for a few years after a very poor last experience in a different location but this was superb.
-
"We loved the view of the mountains from the rear door of the cottage."
It was a great location as a base for North Wales. The facilities were great, even handy items like foil, tea bags etc.. were there, and the host was very helpful and kind.
-
"This is an excellent holiday cottage!"
We stayed there for a week in August and would highly recommend it. Menna Jones is a welcoming host who has put a great deal of care and thought into creating an attractive holiday cottage which has everything you might need (and more). The situation is elevated, beautiful and very peaceful. From the front door and outside seating area you can look across to the mountains. There are walks from the cottage and also many interesting places to visit, easily reached by car, including waterfalls, castles, gardens, Portmeirion and Snowden. We found it useful that Tesco will deliver groceries to the cottage and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return ourselves.
-
"The cottage was situated in a very beautiful location."
It had all the facilities needed for our stay. Would highly recommend staying here.
-
"Excellent cottage with stunning views An excellent quiet cottage, stunning views, off the beaten track, and great location for exploring Snowdonia."
Cottage has all you need, including a dog secure fence. We will be back! Many thanks to our friendly host Menna.
-
"We really enjoyed our stay."
We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the views from the barn as well as the peace and quiet. The location was good and allowed easy access to the places that we wanted to visit. The barn was very clean and had all the home comforts that we needed and it was great to be able wash your clothing after a day out walking or visiting the seaside. We hope to stay here again when we visit Wales next year. Very good value for money.
-
"Lovely cottage tucked away in the hills."
Quiet and peaceful with gorgeous views. Very close to Betts-y-Coed and Snowdonia so great base for walking holiday. Cottage is clean and well equipped and our host was very helpful and accommodating. We would be happy to return and recommend to friends and family.
-
"The hostess and host were very welcoming with thoughtful gestures throughout including a warm welcome with flowers, scones and milk."
We had everything provided for a comfortable stay including cutlery and basic provisions. The cottage was very clean and lovely with a magnificent view of the local countryside. We totally enjoyed our stay.
-
"An absolute Gem, lovely cottage with breathtaking views."
Excellent walking from the cottage and close to amenities of Betws y Coed. A wonderful respite from these worrying times ,
-
"This cottage is in a wonderful place and i have rented a lot of wonderful holiday cottages for my holidays."
But this is far the best one. Thank you to the owner
-
"We loved the fantastic views, was peaceful and restful, just what we needed."
Lovely well equipped comfy cottage.
-
"Great location for attractions in the area."
We would all of liked to have stayed longer; even the children cried on the last night as they didn't want to leave. The children (6yrs,9yrs) were big fans of Zip Wire World and were proud of the fact they had climbed Snowdon. Beautiful views and a peaceful, cosy cottage. We were very well looked after by our host. Thank you
-
"Amazing location."
So quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes from the nearest village of Betws-y-coed. The cottage was so clean and comfortable. It had all the facilities we could have wanted, and the owner could not have been more accommodating and helpful. This holiday exceeded my expectations. I would rate this ten out of ten. Highly recommended. Ben Dimmock

"The cottage has plenty of space and yet feels cosy."
Our host lady was lovely and made sure, we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a number of day trips as well as local walk from the cottage as a base. Our kids also loved it as the place is well equipped for young children.
-
"The perfect holiday."
Weather was incredible, and the views from this property are amazing. Have stayed at this great cottage before and we will be back again. Love this place. A real home from home. Mr and Mrs Jones are lovely and only a phone call away if needed. ( also made us some lovely scones). Bed was extremely comfy ( Emma mattress) and cottage very well equipped. Can’t wait to go back.
-
"The cottage was lovely with beautiful views."
The welcoming scones provided by Mrs Jones were very much appreciated. We were made to feel welcome and staying in such a peaceful location made the holiday extra special for us. Everything was provided to make the stay memorable and I can honestly say we loved it. Being a single dad with two kids, Alice 14 and Jack 18 loved the place and although Mrs Jones said due to the rural nature of the place the wifi could be hit and miss, both found it fine. we would highly recommend this cottage as a place for a great base and a lovely peaceful retreat. Thank you Mr and Mrs Jones.
-
"This cottage is lovely set in a picturesque setting, but not too far away from the busy town of Betws-y-Coed."
Mrs Jones, the owner, was more than helpful, making sure that everything was just right. The kitchen is well equipped and we loved the open plan design meaning that we could keep an eye on the toddler while we prepared a meal. Both bedrooms are comfortable with well thought out décor and the bathroom is light and airy with plenty of room. Mrs Jones has thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and relaxing; well worth a return visit in the future I think.

"Everything!"
!!

"Excellent facilities."
Over and above our expectations. Comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities. Kitchen and cooking equipment all there. Laundry equipment if needed . All very very clean and well kept. Fantastic views from the property. The outside seating area is wonderful with fresh air, wonderful peaceful views with sights and sounds of the property. One very small downside is the television which has poor sound and could probably be updated soon. First class property. The lane leading up to the property was an adventure.

"Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage, beautiful location and quiet."
A nice touch to have homemade cake, fresh flowers and milk in the fridge, much appreciated after long journey. Ideal base for exploring North Wales, enjoyed visits to the nearby Conwy Falls & Swallow Falls ideal base to visit to many places in the area. Our dog, Monty also enjoyed his stay at the cottage very much and peace of mind as he had a safe enclosed environment to wander around outside the cottage. A cottage stay that exceeded our expectations.
-
"Really lovely setting, nicely furnished and very helpful owners."
-
"Weather was terrible but that didnt stop us having a really good holiday."
Owner even showed us some newly born lambs. Thinking of going again in the Autumn.
-
"So peaceful and the location is so easy for access to Betws y Coed."
We met the owner and she was very nice and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
-
"The views from the cottage were stunning!"
It is very well placed for getting to lots of walks and places of interest as well as attractions. After a busy day, it was a quiet retreat to return to. Fabulous!
-
"Both Woodpecker Cottage in Helston, Cornwall, and Ty Isaf Penrhyddion cottage in Betws y Coed in North Wales were excellent."
The cottages were exactly what we wanted, the owners were outstanding in meeting all of our needs, and both cottages were ideally located for all the outdoors activities we were planning. The two cottages, in quite different parts of the UK, were well maintained and provided all of our needs. We will certainly recommend both of the cottages to our friends in Texas.
-
"This barn conversion was in a great location, near to all the places & activities we wanted to do."
The views from the front door were beautiful & the cottage itself was very clean, to a high specification and had those extra touches which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thanks
-
"The cottage was extremely well equipped and the owner greeted us just after arrival."
You felt that she would be there if you needed her but that she wasn’t constantly looking over your shoulder, a perfect compromise. The cottage was well situated in the National Park where so many attractions were within easy reach. There is no doubt that the excellent weather made the holiday but felt that had it have been less so we would still have had a good holiday.
-
"This was our fourth visit and we just love the property and the surrounding countryside!"
Owner is exceptionally helpful and would thoroughly recommend this.
-
"If you’re a family of explorers and adventurers, then this place is in the perfect location!"
The town is packed with waterfalls, and beautiful mountain views. Zip world is only 20mins drive and the train to Snowdon is only a 30min drive away. The cottage itself is well equipped and comfortable, and although it’s on a working farm, it’s not invasive. The owners are welcoming and the little extras were very well appreciated. Tea, coffee and milk, as well as fresh flowers in the living area and Easter eggs for the kids! We had an absolutely wonderful time and the children are already talking about coming back next year! Thank you
-
"We received a very warm welcome upon arrival at the cottage."
A plate of scones on the kitchen table also which we all enjoyed. Mrs Jones was lovely and showed my two young girls the new baby lambs which they loved. We will be back to stay here soon I’m sure
-
"Wonderful cottage, the website pictures really do not do it justice."
The place is spotless and very well equipped, it has everything that you need for a very happy holiday. Location was amazing.

"This cottage is in a beautiful setting with outstanding views."
The owner is very welcoming but not intrusive. The village of Betws y Coed is very pretty and has plenty of places to have coffee etc. Would not hesitate to return.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside this cottage is the perfect place to stay!
-
"The cottage was all we hoped for and more."
The standard of the whole place was high, in fact we could have moved in permanently. Everything was provided, including home made cake and a pint of milk. The views and peaceful setting are amazing. Landlady visited to check all was OK. Would thoroughly recommend both the cottage and Sykes. Thank you.
