"We had a great stay at Sigma penthouse."
Top facilities throughout and a friendly welcome. The cafe/bar was brilliant too.
-
"Lovely stay in a well eqipped, stylish apartment."
The 80's memorabilia was a great addition and as my husband is an 80's man it was ideal. Owners were very welcoming. Lovely setting opposite the waterfall and great base to explore the North Coast. Would definately recommend a stay here.

"We greatly enjoyed our stay in the Sigma Penthouse."
Though the weather was less than good the penthouse, with its spacious open plan living area, was a lovely place to chill. We particularly liked the sky balcony with its view of the waterfall across the road and the massive sofa saved the usual arguments of who sat where. All in all it made our holiday and we will definitely rebook.

"Just returned from a 4 day stay!"
The property and the area were stunning. Not a bad word to say.The owners were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Dave who lives on site was lovely and very welcoming! Would definitely return again to the penthouse suite. Lovely base for exploring the surrounding areas. All the best to Mike, Jules, Dylan and Evan. Thank you ❤️

Had a great weekend!

"What a fantastic property with a stunning location for access to a range of beaches and attractions nearby."
We stayed with our family and the accommodation easily housed the 6 of us. The views of the waterfall opposite and the clever windows that opened into a balcony were a nice touch. Well equipped and extremely spacious. I loved the music decoration and the guitar was perfect for jam in the evening! Just perfect, we will be back!

Would go back. Loved the 80s memorabilia. Stunning views and the balconies were a brilliant idea. Would dedicatedly go back

"How do you sum up Sigma Penthouse in 7 words."
An oasis of calm, peace and tranquility. Or it was until we accidentally set off the fire alarm. But the response from the fire service and Gail the manager was excellent. Both on site in minutes. We're so sorry. We would definitely book again, if they will have us back

"The apartment exceeded all of our expectations."
Very relaxing apartment with amazing views of the waterfall. Perfect location for walking, with lots of views across the whole of North Wales. This is definitely a property we will return to, much more to explore.

Loved the fold out window balconies, what a great idea. We'll be back next year.

"Amazing apartment."
Very high spec. The whole family were impressed and really enjoyed their stay. It was relaxing listening to the waterfall from the balcony. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

"We loved our stay - so comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished (and music memorabilia to treasure looking at), fantastic sofa and bath."
The lighting was great too. We cannot recommend this place enough. The kids loved the window seat and the little snug and the sound of the waterfall opposite was amazing. The manager and local resident gardener (stunning garden) were wonderful - friendly and helpful

"Had a lovely stay at The Sigma penthouse, good setting, great accommodation, very clean, and with a feel of luxury."
Gail the manager was very helpful and gave us just the right amount of advice about the area. unusually for us, we would like to return as it was so good.

"Sigma Pent House was absolutely fabulous, its in a beautiful location and and has fantastic scenery all around."
Plus a very friendly pub within a couple of minutes walk where they served superb food. Would love to say it was a home from home, but honestly it was even better !! Everything we could have wished for and more. Site Manager Gail was so pleasant, friendly, and helpful explaining anything we needed to know about the property, aswell as giving suggestions of places to visit. We travelled last minute as a family of 6, having just has a holiday to Holland cancelled whilst on route to the port of Hull -( thank you P&O) but finding this little gem more than made up for any of our earlier disappointment. I was honestly amazed that this stunning property was available to book at such short notice, but we were all so glad it was. I could continue to sing the praises of this stunning property but don't want to find its fully booked all year round as we certainly want to return.

"We would definitely stay here again !"

"There was a lack of hanging/ drawers space in the bedrooms."
Only a bedside table on both sides of the bed in one room. Most annoying was the lack of mirrors in the bathroom or bedroom in the first bedroom. Apart from that and the two flights of stairs ( which could be difficult for the elderly and should be mentioned in the advert) we had a lovely time and found the accommodation really nice and special.

The Waterfalls Apartments
The Waterfalls Apartments are beautifully finished inside a historic chapel that dates back to 1823, (owned by local couple Jules and Mike Peters), situated opposite the stunning Dyserth waterfalls. Mike is the lead singer of The Alarm, the renowned Welsh rock band, appearing on stages around the world with U2, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and many more. The Alarm Chapel is also the site of many recorded Alarm albums over the years and when The Alarm are not touring the world, you will find Mike and Jules pottering about the village of Dyserth where they reside (and where Mike was born) with their two children, Dylan, Evan ap Michael and Golden Retriever, Ziggy Stardust. The Chapel has been lovingly developed by Mike and Jules over the last few years, transforming this special holy place into five modern apartments with Italian furniture and finishings. All the apartments come with off-road parking as well as flexible sleeping arrangements, for extra convenience. The village of Dyserth, which was once recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086, lies below the slopes of Moel Hiraddug - designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1985; its wildflower spaces harbour such rarities as white violets and orchids while overhead you may see buzzards wheeling and, if you are very lucky, peregrine falcons. The name Dyserth has evolved from the original Dissard which means “hermit’s cell”, the village is steeped in history and the remnants of previous dwellers are dotted around the landscape - from an ancient pre-Roman hill fort on the top of Moel Hiraddug to the industrial heritage of quarries and lime kilns. Visitors have been coming to Dyserth since the 18th century to enjoy the fresh air as it is situated several hundred feet above sea level. The village is renowned for its spectacular waterfall (situated opposite the Waterfalls Apartments) which cascades seventy feet from the River Ffyddion in the centre of the village near the Parish church of St Bridget with its superb stained glass windows. Within walking distance from the Chapel, you can visit the local Waterfall Shop as well as local pubs, The Red Lion and New Inn, whilst further up the hill in the upper village is the Bod Unig Pub (where Mike was born) and Frankies Coffee Shop (all favourites of the Peters’ Family). An award winning butchers is situated on the High Street as well as a chemist, beauticians, hairdressers, gift shop, barbers, 2 convenience stores and Post Office plus a Chippy and Indian Takeaway! Nearby there is the dramatic ruins of the 13th century Rhuddlan Castle, where Mike and Jules promoted Rhuddlan Castle Rocks, a concert featuring The Levellers and Ocean Colour Scene as well as being the location for the award-winning film Vinyl, filmed at the Castle and the Chapel, featuring acclaimed actors, Phli Daniels and Keith Allen; in Rhuddlan there is also a stunning golf course (discounted green fees on request as the Peters Family play golf). A short drive or walk takes you to the coast, (the Peters’ Family are avid hikers), and you can explore the local seaside towns of Rhyl and Prestatyn which boast miles of golden sandy beaches and stunning new hip beach bars, including the KiteSurf Bar, The Pavilion 1891 Restaurant & Theatre and the funky Nova Beach Cocktail Bar where you can watch the sun go down after a memorable day spent between the mountains and the sea. Further afield, the Chapel is the perfect launch pad to enjoy the scenic majesty of Snowdonia National Park plus the gateway to adventure and all that local firm Zip World can offer, be it Treetop Nets, a Forest roller coaster, or the fastest zipline in the world; not to mention Surf Snowdonia where you can enjoy the surreal and invigorating experience of surfing in the mountains! The island of Anglesey beckons in the distance, less than an hour’s drive away with sandy bays, rocky coves, windsurfing and the best parts of the North Wales Coastal Path which leads you all along the coastline from The Chapel and beyond. Head inland to the lakes and the market towns of Denbigh and Ruthin, set against a backdrop of castles that have to be seen to be believed. Whichever direction your staycation takes you, the Waterfalls Apartments are a splendid base whilst you explore the beauty and diversity of all that North Wales has to offer. The Peters’ Family tour the world every year but have a passionate love affair with their local Village and are excited to welcome you to share in all their favourite experiences of Home entwined with their experiences from distant shores. There is a welsh word called ‘hiraeth’ with no direct translation other than a ‘longing’ or a ‘desire’. We hope that The Waterfalls Chapel will stir this feeling in you and create a holiday of a lifetime.
Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £350.
