  • "Avalon, what a beautiful property this is It was the best we have ever stayed in, o Anglesey or anywhere else in the UK Well equipped, beautifully arranged and thought out, beautiful garden."

More spacious than the photos pervay. We had no trouble finding at all just followed the pin and the property has a sign outside Would recommend and would love to return The only drawback was a lack of washing machine But otherwise Avalon has everything for a fabulous holiday

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on the house. Our main aim was to make it feel like a home away from home for guests and we are glad you enjoyed your holiday. As we are always trying to improve guest stays, we will look at installing a washing machine over the winter break. Thank you once more for taking to time to leave feedback and we hope you will visit us again. Property Owner

  • "Lovely holiday home with fabulous garden in a very peaceful location, We did have trouble finding the property as the post code we received took us to a different location."

We did enjoy our stay , thanks

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you had trouble finding the house you should have been provided with comprehensive directions from the expressway along with the what 3 words and google plus code by Menai/Sykes as the property is tucked away in a quiet hamlet. Apologies if this was not provided and we will take this up with the agents. We hope you will visit again. Property Owner

  • "Perfect cottage and a lot bigger than the pictures can represent, I even lost my girlfriend in it for a good 10 minutes."

Large en-suite bedroom on 1st floor. Double bedroom on ground floor at rear of cottage ideal for those who struggle with stairs. Large kitchen with plenty of room. The garden is massive and fully enclosed so that your furry friends and children can't run off. Located in a quiet area however there is an RAF airfield nearby so you do see/hear the the training aircraft during the day but they do stop at about 5pm. Very clean and tidy cottage and even has a BBQ for those summer evenings.

Thank you for your kind feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Glad to hear you found your girlfriend. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner

  • "Myself, my husband and our two dogs absolutely loved our stay at the cottage."

The dogs absolutely loved the beautiful garden and we were able to make the most of sitting out too. The location is perfect and it was lovely and quiet. The only negative was that we could have done with using a washing machine and also a television in the master bedroom upstairs would have been a really extra touch. We were going to book again for next year but noticed that children under 7 aren't allowed which was a disappointment as we will have a 1 year old as we are expecting our first child in 2 months. The pond is extremely small and have one ourselves at home. If we are able to book again with our child only being 1 year old then please let us know. Thanks again for a lovely relaxing break. We were all really sad to be leaving including the dogs.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your visit and were able to make the most of the beautiful garden. To optimise the use of space in the kitchen we decided to have a dishwasher rather than a washing machine as we felt this would be of more benefit to guests, as on average most guests stay one week. We decided not to place televisions in the bedrooms to promote a restful enviroment and sleep. However this is something we will take into consideration for the future, thank you. We do not accept children under the age of 7 years as the bunk beds are adult beds and not advised for anyone under 7 years of age. Whilst the pond is not large it does have a deep centre and for this reason we do not feel it is appropriate for young children. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house and garden, shame the awful weather prevented us from making use of it."

My daughter always cleans up after her little dog, so was surprised to see next doors dog in the garden on two occasions so cannot help wondering who clears up after that! Some smaller mugs and glasses would have been nice. Awful smell from the boiler one morning so contacted the relevant people,no ring back so rang again to be told it was known about and was being serviced in 2 months hardly helpful for us. We have a friend who had a similar issue with their boiler and it subsequently caught fire, hence our concern.

We are glad you found the house and garden nice and sadly you that you didn't have the weather to enjoy it fully. Thank you for your feedback about the mugs and glasses, we will take this into consideration next time we restock. As the heating boiler is oil fuelled there can be a residual smell if the heating is on a lot. This is not uncommon and is resolved by ventilating the kitchen. This does not imply there is an issue with the boiler and I am sorry if this was the information you were given and that the agents did not respond to your first contact. The boiler is serviced annually for safety and there is a carbon monoxide monitor in the kitchen that will alarm if the levels become high. Thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property with a fabulous garden."

Would have preferred a washing machine to a dishwasher. Address postcode is incorrect, quoted as LL65 3SB, should be LL65 3SA. As a consequence the internet food order didn’t arrive.

Thank you for your feedback. As most guests generally stay on average a week we felt a dishwasher would be of more use to guests but do provide the location of the nearest launderette in the advice pack. We are sorry if this detracted or spoilt your holiday in anyway. Thank you for the information on the postcode. We were not aware of an alternative postcode only the one assigned by the post office and on on our correspondence. We have provided W3W and the google plus code for ease of guests as we appreciate it is a challenging property to locate. However we will ask Menai Holidays to provide this postcode to future guests. Thank you again for taking time to leave feedback. Property Owner

Clean, comfortable and spacious with a beautiful well kept garden. The area was quiet and peaceful, a perfect place to unwind. We enjoyed being able to feed and watch the birds in the garden, never have we seen so many Sparrows! Unfortunately for us, our car broke down on the day of departure, the owner was very kind and allowed us to stay at the property until we were able to get help, thank you so much. We would definitely recommend and hope to return one day.

Thank you for your kind feedback. I hope you got to see the resident woodpecker. Sorry you had such a bad end to your holiday and hope to welcome you back again. Property Owner

The furnishings, decor and equipment provided, all exceeded our expectations, and the lovely landscaped garden was a real pleasure to relax in. The location of the property was perfect for exploration of the island, and was very quiet. Thank you for allowing us to bring our two small dogs and for the little treat packs left out for them. We would recommend this property with no hesitation.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay in our home and hope to welcome you again. As dog owners ourselves we like to think it's their holiday as much as their owners. Property Owner

  • "Wow!!!"

What a stunning home from home. Peaceful but not too out of the way from shops, beaches and towns. Garden is huge, enclosed and amazingly landscaped out the back. Even found the little hideaway in the trees to enjoy a cuppa and watch the birds in the mornings. Will definitely be booking this for next year ☺️

  • "This is a lovely cottage with views towards Holyhead at the rear, and a lovely rear garden with decking and garden furniture."

The cottage is extremely well equipped, although we were unsure whether we were able to use the washing machine which was situated in a room that it appeared we should not have had access to. The cottage was immaculately clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. It is situated down a very narrow road with high banks on both sides which may concern some people, but wasn't a problem if driven slowly with care. The hot water was extremely hot butcould possibly have been turned down if we had taken the time to understand the boiler controls. We would definitely recommend the cottage for a lovely stay in Anglesey.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our home. We have ordered some signs for the areas that should have been locked and I appologise for any confusion. We will also label the boiler for ease of future guests as the water can be hotter downstairs than in the bathrooms. Thank you once again Property Owner
