  • "Such a lovely place to stay at we didnt need the facilities or Maintenance person as all was fine when we arrived all was very clean and the view is amazing too."

Sitting on the balcony with either your cuppa first thing in the morning or a glass of wine before it went too dark. Very central for either driving out to places or the jumping the train. The only thing was with us was we couldnt find the bins for our rubbish it is mentioned in the welcome book but still couldnt find it that might have been us getting confused on where to look but we just took it out with us on leaving and put it in Tescos big bin. I would recomend for anyone to stay here a little welcome pack would have been nice when arriving as most seem to do that these days.

  • "Absolutely fabulous property."

Well laid out and equipped. Using the third bedroom for the kitchen is a great idea. Really spacious and comfortable. Only downside was I had to clean the kitchen and bathroom floors when we arrived. The bedding is past its best as one of the pillow cases was split. However, it didn’t distract from our enjoyment of the property and we will be booking again.

  • "This was our second stay in the property, we were pleased to find the standard of cleaning was excellent this time and the window fastener in the bedroom had also been mended."

It’s a lovely, comfortable place to stay with beautiful views, peaceful but only a short walk to the town. We have already booked again for next year.

  • "Our first stay in Porthmadog."

No 25 is a comfortable place to stay, tasteful decoration makes the house feel larger than it looks. The view from the French windows is beautiful with lots of bird life and the Ffestiniog railway to watch, really relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of good quality crockery, pans and glassware. The property is really convenient for the shops, cafes and the Ffestiniog railway and lovely coastal walks. We enjoyed our stay and would stay in No 25 again. The only negative issue for our stay (and we’re not extra picky) was that the floors hadn’t been hoovered in the bedrooms and lounge and the bathroom and hall floors were very dusty and ‘bitty’. The skirting boards and window cills were very dusty and there was also a collection of cigarette ends just outside the door. We gave it all a quick hoover and clean and it didn’t ruin our stay but just wanted to point this out so that the owner can take it up with the cleaning company.

Thank you for your comments, and I am happy that you like the property. It is a lovely place to visit. I am sorry that the property was not as clean as it should be. I will take it up with the cleaning company. I have only just picked up your comments today, because I have been looking for comments in the wrong place. (I am a new owner.) I hope you consider 25 South Snowdon Wharf, Porthmadog for a future holiday. Thanks again for your response. Property Owner

  • "This was a save property for us."

We originally went to a beyond-acceptable property, and in the end, the team member from Sykes came and agreed on the unacceptable nature. She was so gracious to take the time to find us a new place to stay. This property was so nice and clean, with a great location and wonderful views of the estuary. It worked out nicely as we were closer to the town of Porthmadog and the train, so one can easily walk to the local town, restaurants, and shops and even take the steam train up into the mountains.

  • "The property itself was beautiful, very comfortable with a gorgeous view."

It was quite well equipped but the only dishes we could find were plastic! Unfortunately when we arrived it hadn't been cleaned, the cleaners eventually arrived 1.5hrs later and stayed for less than 15 minutes, leaving the bathroom untouched! I reported this to Sykes on the Monday of our stay and they still haven't had the courtesy of coming back to me. I have booked with Sykes on numerous occasions but will be very reluctant to do so again. Whilst it didn't spoil our holiday it did upset us and wasted a few of our precious hours.

I am very sorry that the house had not been cleaned before you arrived, and that you were not happy about the cleaning when they arrived . They have never let me down before. I visited the house on Sunday, after the cleaning company had been, and the house was clean and well presented for the next guests. I am sorry it was not the same for you. The porcelain plates etc. are in the low cabinet next to the cooker. Thank you for choosing my house for your holiday. I hope you will consider us again. Property Owner
