"Delightful simple apartment with some lovely touches."
A beautiful ever changing window (and balcony) on the world that is the best big screen and scene one could need. The drama, comedy and musicality all happens outside, supplied by the Redshank, Curlews, Egrets and various duck and gull species. The ebb and flow of the tide, the steam trains and the Welsh hills make for a stunning backdrop to this real life thriller. When it was lashing down outside, it was nice to be warm and cozy inside and still being able to appreciate the scale and depth of the land and seascape. Walks from the door and coffee, cake, public transport and other amenities in walking distance. Hope to return for part two of this drama at some point.

"Just back home from Estuary escape and that’s exactly what it was."
Perfect location for visiting various places, watching the steam trains come and go and also seeing the wildlife in its natural habitat, with the coming and going of the tides in the estuary. The apartment had everything we needed, for a comfortable stay. Lovely comfortable bed too and amazing views from both the front and the back of the apartment. We couldn’t have asked for anything else. Close to the town centre, where there was plenty of places to eat and drink. The owners have got this spot on. We will definitely be back.

"A cosy comfortable well appointed apartment, with the most wonderful views."
The ever changing scenery provided by the tides and weather, the buzz of seeing the trains puffing away across the Cob, was quite magical. A short walk into Porthmadog, 3 supermarkets, and we experienced excellent food at Spooners Restaurant at the Station. A easy walk to Borth-y-gest and more great scenery. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked again.

"We loved our short break at Estuary Escape and have no hesitation in recommending it."
It’s in a stunning location with amazing views (despite the weather!) So many birds on the estuary and we enjoyed watching the steam trains too - we loved that binoculars were provided! The apartment was really well equipped with everything you need and some lovely touches. Would love to come back and see the view in a different season.

"Beautiful place to stay the views are amazing so peaceful and quiet only thing we had a problem with where the pillows I've honestly never had a pillow with less support than them which took the shine off our stay really after a active day all your after is some comfort to rest."

It’s always difficult to gauge these things as everyone has different preferences - we had opted for a medium support pillows as we felt this would appeal to the majority of our guests. Estuary Escape, tucked away on a private development in the bustling town of Porthmadog in Gwynedd, is a newly refurbished one-bedroomed apartment, on the 2nd floor.
An allocated parking space awaits your arrival at South Snowdon Wharf.
Boasting a superb central location with stunning views over Porthmadog’s picturesque harbour and easy access to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Estuary Escape is an ideal dwelling for a couple and a four-legged companion, who are looking to explore the scenic region of North Wales.
Step into the open-plan living space, where you will have everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen to rustle up delicious meals.
Dine at the breakfast bar and then enjoy drinks out on the balcony which offers exceptional views across the estuary and railway, perfect for those wanting a stunning view!
After a hearty meal, retire to the sofa where you can kick back and relax in front of your favourite film, courtesy of the Smart TV.
The room is decorated with work from local artists and feature lighting.
When sleep calls, freshen up in the shower room, before retiring to a well-presented double bedroom with ample built-in wardrobe storage and dressing table.
Awake from a leisurely slumber and prepare for the day with a refreshing shower, before heading out to explore the bustling harbour town of Porthmadog, which can also be seen from the bedroom.
You’ll have easy access to a wealth of amenities, including a well-stocked convenience store, supermarkets, and welcoming pubs and restaurants, all of which are within easy walking distance from your accommodation.
The train enthusiasts in your party will delight at the proximity of the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway, which offers scenic rides through 14 miles of rolling countryside all aboard a vintage steam train, a truly unique way to see the sights!
Those seeking out the local wildlife will have found their haven with the Traeth Glaslyn North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, where they can enjoy a leisurely stroll amongst nature.
The estuary is a bird-watching haven.
Wander around the peaceful harbour where you can explore the delights of the Maritime Museum, savour fresh fish and chips from Allports Fish or watch the world go by with scrumptious ice cream from Cadwaladers.
The gorgeous local gardens of Portmeirion, Plas Brondanw, Plas Tan y Bwich, and even the hidden gardens of Plas Cadnant on Anglesey are all incredibly well-kept and a delight for anyone who appreciates nature, making them ideal for those seeking a more picturesque experience.
Head over to the nearby village of Morfa Bychan, where you can test out your swing at the Porthmadog Golf Club, enjoy a meal at the Black Rock Beach Club or spend a day on the sands of Traeth y Greigddu or hike along the Craig Ddu which offers fabulous sea views.
At Abersoch, you will find water sports facilities, and there are many incredible beaches to be enjoyed.
Visit Harlech with its impressive castle, which you can see from the balcony, golf course, independent stores, and sandy beach, or there is the option of Criccieth which also boasts a castle and stunning pebble beach.
For those who prefer to venture a bit more inland, Llanberis serves as an excellent starting point for hikers and rock climbers touring Eryri National Park.

Among its many impressive structures is the Caernarfon Castle, which is recognised as a World Heritage Site and houses the Museum of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.
For those with an interest in history, Segontium Roman Fort is a must-see for anybody travelling through the region.
In addition, Caernarfon has a great range of family-friendly day trips and walks for those who simply want to unwind and take in the surroundings.
There are more nearby castles, such as Beaumaris, Criccieth, and Harlech, all of which have fascinating histories to learn about.
With its hikes, lakes, and other attractions, Padarn Country Park also makes for a fantastic day out.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caernarfon. The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see. Also within reach is the famous Zip World Slate Caverns and Bounce Below where you can get involved with a variety of activities including the thrilling zip wires and underground caverns to explore; there is something here to suit the whole family.
