  • "The perfect hidden little nook to stay in Llangollen!"

We stayed at No. 9 for around two weeks with a toddler, and the space worked extremely well for our needs. Lovely views of the river, nice and quiet, and very comfortable! We found the kitchen in particular very well stocked with pots pans, etc. We were very easily able to cook for ourselves while juggling a toddler!

Awww that’s lovely! Thank you so much, thrilled you all had fun! You’re welcome back anytime, delightful guests! Property Owner

Lovely view from the cottage. Enclosed patio so was safe for dogs.

Thank you Jackie for taking the time to feedback. The courtyard, being enclosed, is good for the dogs, I agree. Glad you had fun! Property Owner

  • "Parking a problem every thing else ok"

Thank you for the review, it is probably worth explaining the parking issue so potential guests have the information. Llangollen is a beautiful Welsh town on an incredible stretch of river. Tourists love it, but many of the older streets are narrow, think Cornish town! The cottage is nestled off a quiet but narrow old street. We provide parking permits so guests can park free of charge and without time limit on the street outside. Just in case a space isn’t available we provide an additional parking permit which covers all Denbighshire county parking, not just in Llangollen but all over Denbighshire, we think this is a nice bonus. Unfortunately for this guest, the previous Sykes guest had accidentally taken the latter parking permit home with her. The on street permit was still at the cottage and the guests used it. I contacted the previous guest, she was dreadfully sorry and agreed to post it back 1st class, which she did, but the post was slow bringing it back. In the meantime I offered to pay any parking fees incurred by this guest that would have been covered by the permit if they sent me the receipts. I think I did everything I could to help rectify this problem but I’m open to other ideas! Property Owner

  • "Another wonderful relaxing stay in Llangollen."

Perfectly placed cottage, stroll to lots of nice pubs, shops and of course the river! Or just sit in the beautifully presented cottage and look at the river and castle out of the window. Perfect place to relax. Cottage had everything we needed for a family holiday with a teenager and dogs. Plus a lovely helpful owner who was very forgiving when we went home with the extremely useful parking permit. Sorry!

lol!!! No problem at all! So glad you had a lovely time in Llangollen, it was a pleasure to have you visit!!! ❤️ Property Owner

Thank you for that lovely review Monica I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and this stunning little town - signed like you were busy! You’d be welcome back anytime! Property Owner

  • "Our accommodation here is beautifully situated on the River Dee."

The living room has a French balcony that opens up for great views of the river and town. There are two patios front and back. The kitchen works well and has everything one needs. Ice cubes were in the freezer on arrival. A welcome basket of eggs, bread, milk and juice was waiting for us. The tv is large screen and gets a lot of channels. Wi-Fi works well. There is a wood burning stove but it was too hot to use this week. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a small double. A fan would be appreciated on the hot nights as the bedroom can get quite warm even with the window open. The shower, while small, always had hot water. There is no toilet paper roll holder which makes it somewhat awkward. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a full week’s stay! The neighbour was very friendly, but he does like to play his music all day. It is very quiet for sleeping in the evening.

Thank you for the feedback - I think a fan for the bedroom is a brilliant idea for hot nights - that is now in situ in the bedroom. Hope you enjoyed everything Llangollen had to offer! ❤️ Property Owner
