  • "The listing was very accurate."

It's a small property but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. The real downside is that the village has absolutely no facilities, so transport is essential.

  • "Perfect small hideaway."

Comfy bed and good facilities in the kitchenette. Can park your car right outside the front door. Ian's Bara Brith is appreciated by all guests. Ian also purchased some grab rails to aid my wife in the wet room area. We used Tryfan as a base to retrace 'The Hairy Bikers' last road trip in this part of the world - visited Maggie Ogunbanwo in Penygroes to collect some spices and took the train from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog to buy some spicy Kurdish Pasties from Kumang Rashid. Caernarfon, Zip World and a host of tourist attractions are within easy driving distance of this property. A visit to Criccieth is recommended.

  • "We had a very pleasant stay."

The cottage was located very centrally for all attractions in the area. We got on extremely well with Ian. The cottage was comfortable and we really appreciated the bara brith. Our only concern....there was no balsamic vinegar. (If you know, you know)

Thank you , glad you enjoyed your stay it was a pleasure meeting you both , hope you can replicate the bara brith , and sorry about the balsamic vinegar , that just seems to be a Bain in my life lol . Property Owner

But was disappointed, after a long drive, not to find a pint of milk, or a few tea bags.

Thank you for picking us to stay with and sorry about the milk and tea bags we used to supply in the beginning but with the different types of milk these days we couldn't please everyone and it usually whent to waste ! hence the home made bara brith , that never seems to go to waste Property Owner

Our only criticisms are that there was no where to hang coats up or any airer to put wet clothes on. We would definitely stay here again though.

Very friendly owner. The lon las Ogwen cycle/ walking trail on the doorstep gives easy access to the coast at Bangor and up to Bethesda and the Snowdonia mountains inland. Deeper soup/ cereal bowls would be appreciated.

Only problem with the entire holiday was how many emails I received from Sykes, it was rediculous, sometimes multiple daily, so much spam. No problem with the cottage did not enjoy the Sykes junk mail bombardment though.

The location is great, with good roads for exploring or revisiting Anglesey and North Wales. Autumn in Wales was perfect for us. Can highly recommend this holiday let. • "This really is a lovely place to stay!"

The landlord baked me a lovely loaf of barra brith so with after I acquired a supply of Welsh cheese I was a happy bunny. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed was SO comfortable and I slept like a log. WiFi was intermittent but as a country dweller myself I'm used to that. I am disabled (I use a mobility scooter and walking sticks) and found access very easy. The wet room is very good but it doesn't have a shower seat which is OK for me but a wheelchair user might find that difficult. Apart from that this is a great place for people with limited mobility. Well recommended.
