The cabin was beautiful inside and decorated lovely with little homely touches. The kitchen was well equipped everything you need if you are cooking. The views from the cabin are beautiful as well as the hot tub. I will definately be staying here again at some point. We were met my huw on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. They also sent a really good guide to you before you arrive with everything you need including shops pubs places to go etc. it has been an amazing experience staying here and i look forward to going back at some point

  • "Pen Bryn is a lovely property and, has been decorated to a high standard."

The only negatives are that, there are essentials missing which, could be added to the property ie - chest of drawers in the bedrooms and, a washing line. There is also no window in the main bedroom which, should be noted. It was very stuffy in the room at night. The directions to the property were not easy to follow and, the roads surrounding the property are not easy to navigate! There are lots of positives to the cottage, its in a very quiet location with, amazing views. Its spacious and comfortable and, the hot tub is a great feature. Huw gave us a lovely welcome and, left us some gifts which, were much appreciated.

The house has been beautifully designed to take full advantage of the views, with a comfy modern settee area and dinning table looking out across the fields. It wasn't quite warm enough to sit out on the terrace but we enjoyed the hot tub, again privately positioned with great views looking into the valley. It is perfect for 2 couples, feeling spacious and light and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Well equipped kitchen, nice clean modern bathrooms & underfloor heating. Would recommend it highly.

! Huw, the owner met us on arrival and explained everything, the owners live on the farm next door but were not intrusive at all. The lodge is very private and secluded which is just how we like it! Hot tub was lovely and so relaxing! The lodge is well equipped and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We made good friends with John Huw’s dad and he waved and stopped to chat if he saw us, we will definitely book again!

Usually go to lodge parks and had given up hope of finding anything decent as they were full or extortionately priced and then I stumbled upon Pen Bryn! Beautiful location, stunning holiday let, super clean and well appointed - everything we needed was provided - more than used to! Family were very friendly and enjoyed our chats with dad too! It is remote which we loved - and even though Feb - we got decent weather and used the hot tub loads! AMAZING - thank you

The cottage has a fantastic outlook, and after a couple of days we were driving like the locals, (well most of them :-) Being fairly new, everything in the cottage was fresh, Hew made sure we knew where everything was and we felt quite a home very quickly. The fantastic weather at the beginning of September obviously helped and we very much enjoyed the company of puss and her two kittens. We'd go back tomorrow if we could.

We had the most amazing stay at this stunning lodge! The lodge itself is absolutely immaculate. Equipped with everything you would need. The hot tub is fantastic. You can tell it isn’t just a cheap one. You wake up to such a peaceful setting with beautiful views. Million miles away our busy day to day lives. We were 4 girls turning 40 and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We didn’t want a busy city centre and this was everything we needed. Ruthin its self is so nice. Can 100% recommend small plates. The food was beautiful. Ruthin castle is another must. We went for a couple of drinks on the Saturday afternoon and the setting was just perfect. Peacocks roaming around and the grounds were stunning! The Wetherspoons in the town centre is great too. Lovely beer garden with cheap drinks too! If you need a taxi would recommend Daveys taxis. The taxi network isn’t like what we are used to (can we not just ring an Uber
