  • "We had a lovely stay at the Coach House, on arrival there was a welcome pack for us and another for our dog, thank you."

The cottage was very comfortable and quiet. The hot tub was a great addition. Being close to the A55 made it easy to get to various places. We will definitely be back again maybe to stay at one of the other properties on the site. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "We enjoyed the property, finding it comfortable and spacious."

We also found the property's location, a short journey from the A5, useful in allowing access to routes that could take us easily around the island. However, there were some drawbacks. We felt that the lack of shelving in the shower units was a practical oversight, the king-size on the ground floor was not divided into singles as we'd requested prior to our arrival, and although the property has a hot tub, a notable factor in booking this particular rental, the hot tub could not be used, as it required maintenance. That said, once we'd managed to contact the owner, we were offered the use of the hot tub in the neighbouring vacant rental for the remainder of our stay. The owner also offered compensation, for a period of three nights without access to a functioning hot tub, as a gesture of good will. Sykes representatives were both helpful and professional in liaising with the owner and handling this.

  • "We have just spent 3 nights at The Coach House paying £900, its a lovely property, very clean and in a great location."

The only thing for us that let it down was theres one very small TV in a large lounge, and as a party of 6 ranging in age from 8-80 this caused problems, there are no TVs in the bedrooms. When the owners have clearly spent a lot of money on the property I can’t understand why they would put such a small TV in,or put any in the bedrooms. This unfortunately would stop us wanting to return.

  • "Loved the cottage, a couple of small things really niggled - lack of hooks in the bathrooms to put towels or bathrobes and the step up to the hot tub was very high even my brother who is nearly six foot thought it needed another step!"

Otherwise the cottage had everything we wanted for our family break

  • "My family and I enjoyed a gorgeous long weekend in the cottage, which was lovely and comfortable and very cozy."

We were extremely fortunate to have sunshine during our stay. We really did thoroughly enjoy ourselves. The only minor issue was stripping the beds at the end of our stay, which we have never been expected to do before. We did as we were requested, but both my parents are in there late 80’s and I suffer with Parkinson’s and a broken shoulder, so it was a struggle. I do personally feel that as paying guests, we shouldn’t have to do this as anybody staying at mine wouldn’t be expected to get up early to start removing bedding. Having said that we would still return

  • "For the second year on the trot and after repeatedly asking Menai Holidays to provide separate beds for one of the rooms so my disabled mother could use, this wasn't undertaken."

I then had to drive my mum to the other side of North Wales to stay with my sister as I got no action to fix on first day of arrival and then missed her as part of the first 3 days of the holiday. Heating in main bedroom wasn't working meaning, so that our baby couldn't get a bath and was freezing in the room. This was only fixed on the 4th day. No hot water in shower of one of bedrooms. Was said this wasn't possible to be the case as all on same heater. Had father in law having to share our bathroom for shower for first 3 days, before eventually fixed. Contacted Menai was a painful process and so difficult to get any action to be undertaken. Was a truly awful experience and so disappointing as I only get one week holiday a year back in the UK. The additional correspondence of Menai asking me to confirm only 6 people were staying there was baffling and frustrated me further that this was being asked with all the issues I was facing. To be offered only a GBP50 credit for all that happened was embarrassing and derogatory. I then wanted to speak to someone at management level at Menai to understand how they could think this was a suitable offer and for an apology or to put me in contact with the owner to discuss. I was met with both by very arrogant refusal to discuss by the Call Centre Team. A simple apology or explanation or desire to fix what happened for a future visit would have been fine as I understand owning my own properties that things can go wrong, but the actions of Menai have now forced further action to be taken as it was completely unacceptable how I have been treated.

Everything needed for a wonderful stay, the welcome hamper for us and our dog was so thoughtful. Only one minor recommendation would be to have some extra hooks in the bathroom to hang our wet towels as we had hot tub towels as well as bath towels to dry.

The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and very appreciated after a long drive. Perfectly situated to access all the places we wanted to visit and location wise amazing as we just wanted peace and quiet. It was fabulous to have the paddock to let our dog have a run around before jumping in the car to visit the various locations and as for the cottage itself - just bliss. We found the accommodation modern and clean, the grounds are beautiful and the hot tub was fabulous. As others have said about no washing machine it was a slight inconvenience but it wouldn't deter us from booking again. The welcome package was a lovely touch, there was even milk in the fridge, tea coffee and sugar left as a courtesy for that much needed morning brew! Very clean and cosy house to spend the week with family. Hot tub was ready to use on the night we checked in which was appreciated, lovely to sit out in after a long day! Nice little welcome hamper was a nice touch with some Prosecco.A home away from home! Very enjoyable stay and would return if in the area. Great base to explore Anglesey! The only point I would add is a washing machine would be useful but there isn’t really space in the kitchen area for it. Travelling with a baby means mounting washing which would have been good to stay on top of during the week but not a problem

30pm. It was not useable until the following morning , which was really disappointing. I had emailed the owner in advance requesting that we would like to use the hot tub on the day of our arrival and I wasn’t overwhelmed by their response. If checkout is 10.00 am this should be sufficient time to drain it and re-fill it in readiness for the evening . This did spoil our experience a little , which is a shame because it is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location .

Hot tub and pretty courtyard garden just adds a little something special. Perfect for a family holiday. Our dogs loved it too! Due to covid, soft furnishings such as cushions etc., had to be removed for ease of cleaning, understandably, but it's amazing how these little touches add to the cosiness of the surroundings. Otherwise, beds, bedding etc., all lovely. Would love to stay again - possibly in the Hayloft when we aren't travelling with grown-up children LOL Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The sofas in the lounge were so inviting even with the soft furnishings missing because of Covid 19. The log burner was so cosy burning away with just the lamps on....sheer bliss. Then the amazing Hot Tub - we were in it every evening after a day spent exploring the island, in particular watching the planes taking off at RAF Valley and strolling along Sandy Beach.......this property is a MUST and yes!!! we will be back.

Even with COVID-19 everything was made clear to us and with no ambiguity. I would score a 10/10 for Menai holidays but only negative was I had a query with regard to the booking, rang the call centre, the promised call back was never made and instead the owners got a garbled message that caused confusion.
