• "The property is warm, inviting, clean and comfortable."

  Being about 20 ft away from the promenade and walking beside the sea for miles is relaxing. You could hear the sea when it was in, great. The only let down was the unadopted privately owned road that ran around the whole of the estate. The surface was horrendous with very large potholes all filled with water and rubble on most of the roads around the bungalow. Some serious damage can be done to the underside of your car.

We accept some of the roads are disappointing but fortunately we have never heard of anyone damaging a car from them. There is also a route to avoid the worst if you take the promenade road. • "Property had a very cosy home from home feel about it, would definitely choose it again should we visit the same area."

  As mentioned by another reviewer, the access road is unmade and has plenty of pot holes but did not detract from our stay Kitchen would perhaps benefit from a couple more mugs and a colander for washing salad, but that's being picky.

• "On the first night whilst deciding on whether I needed two pillows or one, it was discovered that one pillow case was stained, not a good start, the bath drain is slow, so that when showering water builds up around your feet, the toilet role holder drooped when a role was on it and eventually came of its moorings, and finally the oven should have a government health warning on it."

  The only drawback is the access to the property as the roads are atrocious, I do understand that is not the problem of the owners but the local Council. Apart from that it was really good. • "Excellent location by the sea!"

  Cottage was spotlessly clean, well stocked with crockery, kitchen items etc, lovely secluded garden, games, books also and connection for games console. Really comfortable sofa and beds. Would highly recommend!!

• "Comfortable, very clean, well equipped bungalow."

  Close to the sea and very peaceful and quiet. The number 12 bus stops about 5 minutes walk away from the bungalow. It stops at various seaside resorts between Rhyl and Llandudno. We didn't use the car all week as we were able to walk or get the bus to wherever we wanted to go. Very relaxing week just what we needed. Thank you.

• "The property worked well for us as a couple exploring the local area."

  It was very clean and warm which was appreciated. The equipment in the house was well thought about,and the welcome pack was above average. The cutlery was a little disappointing,and as was the lack of serving dishes. Overall a good two weeks and would consider returning.

• "Lovely cottage."

  Beautifully decorated. Sun lounge and enclosed back garden were a bonus. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped, it had everything you would need. Even if the weather was bad it was stiĺl so nice to spend time in the cottage. We had a fantastic week and would certainly come back.

• "Our second visit to Cove House didn't disappoint the first time and definitely didn't the second time."

  Cant recommend highly enough 10/10 from us. We had a little problem with the TV and the owners came out straight away and sorted a very simple problem out for us (slightly embarrassing) couldn't thank them enough nothing was too much trouble.

• "Very quaint accommodation, excellent location as we wanted something close to the hospital and it was approximately 12 minutes drive away."

  The cottage was very clean and well maintained. Very close to the beach which was ideal for going on long walks. Would highly recommend for a short break.

• "Could not fault cove house it was lovely and cosy with everything you could need and probably a bit more."

  As we visited in November we didn't get to use the garden but it is a lovely enclosed space for sitting out in the summer. Would highly recommend cove house.

• "Comfy and cosy."

• "What a gem."

  The cottage was spotless and there was everything there that we needed to make for an enjoyable stay. The location was perfect (apart from the roads which we knew about in advance) near enough to all the shops etc but far enough away to allow for a quiet week away. The support offered by the owners was greatly appreciated but luckily wasn't needed. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a comfortable and quiet stay within driving distance to most of the beautiful places North Wales has to offer.

• "We really enjoyed our time at Cove House."

  It was really well set out though I have already said to the owners that the one thing that made it not 100% was that you had to use one of the bedrooms to get to the sun room and garden. The road to access the bungalow are badly potholed but this is pointed out on the information in the description of the property and is no fault of the owners. I didn't read the information book provided and had to call the owners Si and Rach for help with the cooker hob! So save yourselves some time and read the info book that has all the info you need. I was hoping to book again but the dates I wanted had gone so I hope that shows what I think about Cove House.

• "The property was very clean, comfortable and well presented."

  Everything that we needed for our stay was provided for us. The position of the bungalow with regards to the coast was lovely and the walk along the promenade to the supermarket was relatively quick and enjoyable. Navigating the road to the bungalow and finding the best way to park the car were the only awkward bits but you soon learn how to avoid the worst of the pot holes. I would definitely stay there again if I was holidaying in North Wales.

• "For our very first visit to Wales my wife and I chose Cove House to use as a base for discovering Wales."

  We were not disappointed.It is within easy reach of some lovely places. Beautiful comfy cottage and private back garden, so close to the beach and walkway along the coast.The cottage itself was very clean and well equipped.A large supermarket was within easy walking distance along the coastal path. We enjoyed our stay very much and perhaps one day may be able to return.

• "The accommodation itself was nice and spacious enough for 2 people, the kitchen had most of the utensils you needed, if you have never used an induction hob before, you will need to refer to the manual."

  The parking was a bit of a faff and the roads leading to the property from the main road are pretty awful and in desperate need of maintenance. The back garden is a sun trap with nice seating available. This place provides a good base for getting around parts of North Wales.

  Hi Peter, Glad you liked the bungalow, its a great base for North Wales as you say. One small section of road has some potholes and this is being reviewed by the local council. We are unaware of which utensil we need to get but happy to get for future guests if you could message us with this information. For parking most people just drive straight into the driveway at an angle and reverse back out into the road when leaving. • "Just back from a break at Cove House."

  The bungalow was very pretty, it was clean and cosy with a lovely little sun room at the back. A nautical theme throughout. We spent the nights with a cuddly penguin and a fluffy octopus. We left a little red crab for the owners to find. (A glass one, not a real one l might add). Would definitly return .

• "Lovely bungalow and the location is perfect right next to the beach and amenities."

  Very clean and nice little touches which make it feel like home. Nice walk along the sea front to Rhyl and Towyn. My only note of caution is the road, as previously stated, does not have a level surface. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

• "Lovely little property in a quiet location right on the seafront."

  The property itself is nicely decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners are friendly and helpful with good communication via text. The location is a great base for exploring the area. Rhyl was walkable even with a 5 year old and we found loads of other places to visit within a short drive (less than 30 minutes). We really enjoyed our week in Cove House.

• "What a fab little cottage!"

  Suited myself and partner down to the ground. In a great location by the coastal path, with shops etc in walking distance. The cottage itself was wonderfully clean and welcoming on arrival, and warm and cosy during a wet and windy week in December. Would love to go back when the weathers better and make the most of the beach being so close.

• "Beautiful seaside themed bungalow which is just a few steps from the promenade."

  The accommodation was very clean and had lovely little touches provided by the hosts. Very quiet, peaceful location but beware the potholes in the access road! Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to sit in the secluded garden, maybe another time!

• "The roads in particular were exceptionally bad."

  It was more noticeable for me, as I don't have a big car, so the pot holes and dips were putting a lot of strain on my suspension. Also, many of the instruction manuals for each appliance were difficult to understand. I would have to think carefully whether it would be worth traveling 200+ miles each way again to stay here for a holiday. Overall, we did enjoy the peace and outlook though.   Thanks for the feedback Colin & Wendy, due to the unique location in a private estate some of the roads leading to the house are unpaved and this was mentioned in the description. The good news is that the local council are planning on repairing and resurfacing the roads in the area and this work should be undertaken in the near future. • "Booked property for 6 nights really enjoyed it didn't want to leave."

  Good communication from the owner made book in really easy. Property was spotless very well presented owners have put a lot of thought into the presentation and making sure we had everything we needed. Location is great quiet and just a few yards from the beach, most things you need are just a short walk away, walk a little further and you are in Rhyl. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely return. Thank you.
