  • "We had a fantastic week."

Lovely having the enclosed garden for the dog, great location and the property was perfect for us. The only thing I would have liked is to have a washing machine rather than a dishwasher but that's probably just personal preference!

There's a pub/restaurant about 150m away with a playground in it and outdoor seating. Garden was really lovely and had seating area and views of the sea. Worth walking up the iron man while there.

  • "Apart from the view i am struggling to say anything nice about this property."

Generally furnished with old dated bits of odd furniture. Not very welcoming. The smell in the property caused me to question the cleanliiness. Very dirty oil filled heater on display, peeling wall paper in lounge, polystyrene ceiling tiles in bathroom, dirty blinds, food bits in dishwasher......i didnt like this. Clearly the property does not get checked regularly for standard and quality. Was asked to strip bed on departure due to covid regulations, but the owner has clearly not been following covid guidance. Provided feedback to the owner during my stay, who asked if she could send someone round, i couldnt confirm if i would be in. She asked if someone could call whilst i was out, i replied yes. No one came and no further communication from the owner. I would reccomend this property.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry you feel that our property was not to your liking, we do take all feedback very seriously and will endeavor to look into the issues you have raised. Thank you Property Owner

  • "Beds are extremely uncomfortable, I slept downstairs, although now has c/h, it wasn't set and took a while to work it out , bathroom towel warmer didn't work."

Nice house and garden, but outdated needs redecoration. Don't like downstairs bathroom. New living room carper, but laminate or wood is best for dogs. Limited utensils , no spatula wooden spoon etc. Miss a washing machine, don't use dish washer. Love Llanbedrog, and is close to pub, short walk to beach .

I would first of all like to thank you for taking your time to leave a review about my cottage. Everything you have mentioned about the cottage has been taken into consideration. In relation to the bed, it is a perfectly sound and comfortable bed, it is more personal preference to whether a bed is comfortable or not but thank you for your comments and i have taken them on board. In relation to the limited utensils, due to covid restrictions i was to asked to reduce equipment in the kitchen which cannot be cleaned to a covid standard, with restrictions now easing these will be put back into the cottage. • "Fantastic location."

The only issue were the stairs. They were extremely steep, and the individual stairs were very narrow. The banister is too low forcing you to stoop down to use it. Another hand rail on the wall, set at the correct high, would make it much safer.

Positives - well-appointed, fantastic view from patio, very comfortable, excellent pub within 300m Negatives - very steep staircase (an issue for a couple of 60 year olds with bedrooms upstairs + bathroom downstairs), toilet flush inefficient Overall this is a lovely property in a wonderful location

  • "The standard of cleanliness was not satisfactory."

There was a layer of dust on the wardrobe, skirting boards and plug sockets. There were dead flies on the windowsill and dog hairs on our clothes from the sofa. There were tea/brown stains on the kitchen drawer and the property smelt generally unclean. The double bed was uncomfortable and the wardrobe had a fusty smell. The property is quite dated and tired looking, it needs redecorating. The location was great though with a lovely sea view.

Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry to hear of the issues you have raised. The property has recently been refurbished however, it is a Victorian style Cottage. The comments have been raised with the cleaner to be checked. We do ask guests to contact on arrival if there are any concerns as we would like to rectify these as soon as possible so you enjoy your stay. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you - Cottage Owner. • "Although a nice cottage on the exterior."

Was a fair few issues inside. Main one being the toilet flush i think because the cottage is at the back of a main house(which you do not say in write-up ) the pipes have been added on. And this gives a really weak flush so 5 times i had to manually remove contents ( not what i anticipated on holiday!) Only 1 grill tray in oven. Really steep stairs (for mountain goat) Noise from people in main house. Loose garden banister Would benefit from bbq and parasol in garden. Could do with re.decoration. So to be honest for just short of 600 was expecting a better standard. The veiw from the cottage is beautiful and a lovely location.. and owner was helpful on leaving day by letting us stay another 2 hours as we waited for a tyre to be replaced at local garage.

Thank you for your review it was very useful. I believe everything was explained in the property write up and my emails, regarding the stairs, removal of excess items etc. due to government guidelines. With reference to the toilet, you may on the odd occasion have to flush twice due to the size of the cistern but I have not heard about a complaint of this prior. I am sorry that you felt disrupted by neighbouring properties, this is not something that is within my control, however had you contacted me at the time, I would been more than happy to try and put things right for you. I am pleased you enjoyed the view but again the parasol and BBQ would all need extra cleaning and due to covid guidelines this would increase my cleaning costs, which would have to reflect on a price increase. I hope this answers your comments and that you have had a safe journey home. Property Owner

Lovely setting, walking distant from a nice pub 30 seconds away. Good amount of parking directly opposite the cottage. Nice place to sit outside with view that looks down to the ocean. Only issue was the outside of the property could do with getting painted white to match the whole building. Had an excellent stay, our little boy loved it. Owner very helpful and gave loads of info, also there is a folder there that gives a lot of information as well. Little bottles of bubbles and some cake greeted us when we got there which was a nice touch. Excellent value for money, would recommend to anyone.

  • "The location is good."

There’s plenty of dog walks and it’s close to the beach, the local shop and the local pub. The two things that let this property down for me were the cleanliness and the requirement for modernisation. The place needs a deep clean in some areas, the front room in particular, where the carpet badly needs replacing. The furniture throughout needs to be updated. The dining situation is poor, we ate out a lot but if we had been reliant on self catering then we would have struggled. The kitchen was great. The bedrooms sparse but functional. The bathroom was great. One other slight niggle was the thought of having to pay for electricity using a key at the local shop - in 2018 - really? Overall I’d say just a bit more effort and this place could be great but in its present state it was overall only an ok for me. That said we had a great holiday, as we know the area very well, however next time it’s unlikely we’ll be returning to this property.

  • "Although the location of this cottage was excellent the quality of the accommodation was quite poor."

The photograph on the website of the garden is quite misleading and on arrival we discovered how untoddler friendly it was. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the mattress is in dire need of replacement. I have returned from a weeks holiday completely exhausted from lack of sleep. My little boy had dirty feet from just running around on the carpets so they desperately need a good clean. Would definitely not return.
