"The cottage fitted the description and was everything we hoped for."
We had a very enjoyable stay and it was a perfect size for a family of 4. The cottage was centrally located, just a short walk to shops and eateries. Really appreciated the welcome gift of wine and cake from the owners who made us feel very welcome. Would recommend the cottage and definitely consider staying here again.
Thankyou so much for your lovely review. We’re both happy you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

"Great stay."
Perfect location. Exactly as advertised. The only negative would be the garden area is not particularly secure for larger dogs.

"We really enjoyed our stay here."
Centrally located in Snowdonia, it allowed us to explore the Slate Trail. A lovely cottage only a few minutes walk from the centre of Llanberis with a nice garden & views. Would happily come again!

"We had a great stay thank you."
Our 2 small dogs equally enjoyed the garden and the many walks we did. Thanks for the extra touches, and the cottage was so very comfortable, the beds especially. Impeccably clean and a great Llanberis base.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. We’re both really glad you all enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet you both and the dogs. Property Owner

"The owners are lovely and really helpful."
We stayed here when wanting to climb Snowdon. Lovely cosy bed, real fire and just down the road to shops, restaurants and Llanberis path. Private parking was a big plus. We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

"We really enjoyed our stay."
The cottage is in an amazing quiet location just a few mins walk from the lake, shop, pubs etc in Llanberis. The cottage is comfortable and was perfect for our stay. The owner was extremely friendly and informative and we were extremely grateful for the milk, cake and wine that was there on our arrival. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great holiday.

"The cottage is right in the middle of Llanberis, with everything you need for a great stay."
Lots of walks right out of the door, including Snowdon. Can enjoy all that Snowdonia has to offer; swimming, walking, climbing, and easy drive to coast and other towns. Lovely, lovely place! Paula and Gwyn were great (right next door if needed), They left a care pack with essential tea, milk and wine :) waiting on arrival and happy to offer advice on where to wander. Would recommend.

"We enjoyed our week in this cottage which is convenient for the village shops/cafes/pubs/Snowdon/Lake etc."
We never used our car all week apart from the last day. Drove fromLlanberis to Bets-Y-Coed which is spectacular and not to be missed. Please note that if you take a large dog the rear of the garden isn’t fully enclosed with a shear drop behind . Take care. Also parking could be a problem with a large car. Overall the cottage was warm and comfortable. Welcome items well received especially the dog treats.
Thankyou for your lovely feedback. We’re really glad that you had a good week and that the dog enjoyed his treats. With regard to the comment about the parking space, we agree it is tight for a large car and we’re always happy to swap spaces with guests with larger cars. Our adjacent space is bigger. There is a drop at the back of the garden and we are planning to work on the rear fence this winter. We concentrated on renovating most of the house last year but the garden is on the to do list this winter. Property Owner

"We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage."
Paula and Gwynn were very welcoming, we had Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived! Both very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. Snowdon itself was amazing! All in all I would recommend staying here if you fancy a nice retreat to come back to once you have scaled the mountain !

"Stayed here for 3 nights in August during a heatwave, the cool house was a welcome relief in the heat after walking around Llanberis, we attempted Snowdon was it was too hot in 27c!"
Lovely cottage and the owners were very accommodating with the parking space as we had a larger than normal car!

"Just returned from a very relaxing stay at 9 Ty Du Road, Llanberis."
The house is superb, spotlessly clean, and comfortable, like home from home. There were some essentials for us on arrival, tea, coffee, milk, bottle of wine, some welsh cake and even some treats for our fur baby, Basil! The location is excellent, right in the heart of the village, so a short walk to the Spar, pubs, restaurants, eateries and activities. There is so much to do and see. We enjoyed long walks around Lake Padarn, a visit to Ceunant Mawr Waterfall (which is beautiful) and Dolbadarn Castle with panoramic views across Llanberis. The Slate Museum was an interesting part of the village's history, and Llanberis train ride was a great way to sit back and take in the views of the Lake, our fur baby enjoyed it too!! Paula (the owner) was always very responsive if needed and it was so lovely to meet her and her husband, Gwyn. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely return, it gets 5/5 from us!
Thanks you very much for your lovely review. We’re both really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back in future. Property Owner

"The cottage was comfortable and had everything we wanted for a week's stay for two."
The garden was especially great as it was a real sun trap (and yes, we had a lot of sun!). Note that the listing does not mention a washing machine but there is one there! The location was great, a short walk from the main street in LLanberis so really easy to get to restaurants, drinking establishments (we liked The Heights) and the buses and local attractions. Llanberis itself has a few restaurants and a Spar to stock up on supplies, though we found that a bit limited and expensive so popped into a bigger supermarket in Caernarfon when we were visiting the castle. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy in the area including walking up Snowdon, visiting the slate museum, Caernarfon castle, the Llyn peninsula. On the listing it says to note that the owners live next door as though it's a bit of a negative. However, we found it really useful to have the hosts next door as they are a font of knowledge of the area and full of ideas for us to do so this suited us greatly.

"Lovely property, and Paula was very friendly and welcoming."
She was there on arrival to give us tips and to help us settle in, and our checkout process went very smoothly with her too. The home is well equipped and very clean, with a modern bathroom and fresh amenities. There was even a surprise complimentary bottle of wine that we happily indulged in. The location is fantastic if you're looking to take the bus to Pen-y-Pass for the hike to Snowden Peak, as its only a 3-5 min walk from the bus stop that takes you there. Also a great location if you plan to take Llanberis path down from Snowden Peak, as the property is very close to the main street in Llanberis. Overall, highly recommend!

About the location
LLANBERIS
Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.
Dominated by the grandeur of the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
