  • "A lovely cottage."

Well situated. Very quiet. The Hostess, Jane, made some lovely pastries and cakes, and there was even fresh milk in the fridge. Well situated for many amenities. We plan to go back next year. Would highly recommend.

.. other than fantastic! Best cottage we have stayed in. The proprietor Jane was lovely and welcoming. She had baked a Birthday cake for me upon arrival amongst some other welsh goodies ... Welsh cakes and Bira Brith. This really made my Birthday and stay one to remember. The location couldn't have been more perfect for us. The living space was superb ... cosy and inviting, the log burner on an evening was wonderful, loved reclining in the leather chair with a glass of red wine watching the flames flicker away. Our Springer Spaniel Biscuit loved been cosy after our long walks and exploring during the day. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we required to cook our meals. The bed was so comfy and we had amazing night's sleeps after exploring snowdonia national park. Absolutely loved the jacuzzi bath to unwind and soak our legs after some long hikes. Highly recommend anyone to stay here, super dog friendly and just perfect. I can't wait to go back infact, we were really sad to have to leave! Thank you for an amazing and memorable stay at Hafod cottage .

  • "We arrived (after a long journey from the northeast) around 4 pm."

Mrs Pierce was there to greet us, and she provided a nice selection of baked goodies to enjoy with our tea. Her Welshcakes are excellent! Hafod is one of four cottages (the farm also does B&B). Downstairs double bedroom and bathroom, newly stairs to upper floor with lounge/kitchen/dining area. Property well appointed: fridge/freezer, dish washer (although we didn't use), lots of kitchen and dining accessories, washing machine and tumble dryer downstairs. All towels and tea towels provided. Good WiFi connection. Ty Mawr Farm is a great location to explore coast, Anglesey, Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia. Not far from anywhere! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hafod (or one of the other cottages) for visitors wanting to explore North Wales. Lots of attractions- we spent time at National Trust and Cadw properties, and to RSP at South Stack. Despite the poor forecasts, the weather was great.

A perfect upside down holiday cottage for two. Situated around a courtyard of 4 cottages on a working farm you were surrounded by perfect peace and tranquility. Couple that with the wonderful mountains we were loving it. Jane was amazing. She had furnished the dining table with delicious home made goodies on our arrival. She was always on hand for any questions we had. Such a lovely lady. The comfort in the cottage was fabulous. We slept like logs in the sumptuous beds. There is a really decent sized shower and a bubble bath. The upstairs kitchen and lounge were extremely well equipped and comfortable. We had a wonderful holiday and are aiming to return with our family . Thank you Jane

Jane, the owner, welcomed us (with cake specially made to meet our dietary needs) and the cottage was warm, comfortable and very well equipped, including the little things like washing up liquid and kitchen roll, that are sometimes not provided. There was space for the dogs to relieve themselves and outside stairs to the upper floor so our old dog didn't have to negotiate the spiral staircase. The only very little niggle was that the armchairs, described as recliners, no longer reclined! A really good self-catering cottage that I would recommend to anyone. Thankyou, Jane!

Jane, our host, was welcoming, her door was always open. She went out of her way one morning by giving us a lift to Bangor bus station so we could get the bus to Llandudno after our car got locked in the local shopping centre car park. • "As an elderly couple, we found that there were some issues with the cottage which in our mind should be addressed."

    1. A non slip rubber mat should be provided for the bath. 2. A support handle should be fitted to assist in getting in and out of the bath. 3. Suggest that the entrance to the cottage should be updated by fitting small windows to allow fresh air into the sleeping area. 4. The fridge/freezer door needs attention. Where the rubber seal of the door engages with the fridge contact becomes unattached after a short period of time due to overheating of the door sill. Potential fire hazard. We did not see the caretaker/owner before our departure to pass on our findings, we would be grateful if you could do this on our behalf. Many thanks.
