  • "We have stayed at tanglewood previously but this time definitely noticed that is looking tired and ready for some “tlc”."

We can appreciate that it has probably been used constantly over the summer but it is ready for a deep clean and some upgrading. It could use some extra kitchen equipment (some measuring jugs and microwaveable bowls) . The apartment itself smelt musty and felt a little damp . However its position for the north Wales coast is good and the area is quiet .

  • "The apartment was clean and comfortable."

The negatives were no chairs to sit out, and the so called welcome pack was an information leaflet.

  • "Holiday apartment absolutely lovely."

Very quiet lots of parking for 2 vehicles. Only 5 minutes away from the A55. and a 10 minute walk to rhos-on-sea to the beach. Plenty of shops and a few places to eat Ideal for a family of 4. Very clean we had to go out and buy washing up liquid/clothes/hand wash and tea towels as none of these were provided. All in all it was an excellent stay and will be returning next year

  • "It did state that there were 2 off road parking spaces, but on the literature inside the property we were asked to park on the road."

This was not an issue with us. But someone with a brand new car might not want to leave it on the road.

Already booked it for next year or maybe later on this year who knows but we will be back.

  • "Tangle wood is a lovely property, it really felt like home from home and I’d love to stay again."

Great location, with all the facilities you could need from a holiday home. A few areas of tlc needed (Curtain lining drops mess all over the floors, freezer needs defrosting, light bulb in the bathroom is quite dim) but nothing that would stop me recommending or staying again. With family in the area, I’m sure we’ll be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Most of the the things needed has been provided. I broke my leg before holiday so I was using a crutches to move around but I had enough space to do it comfortable. Steps on the front are wide and low. Good clear instructions inside the house. Great location! Quiet area, close to beach, shops, food, and short drive to the lots of attractions.

the flat is nice and easy accessible, and not far to explore the local area, it could do with a bit of tlc. we found the welcome pack had limited information, for example gp info hospital information public transport info, oven and washing machine instruction not included

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Tanglewood."

The location is very good for the North Wales coast. The owner was prompt and helpful when the TV and kettle broke. However, the property is rather basic and a bit run down. Nothing drastic but in need of some TLC. There was no welcome pack and although parking is very easy it is not off road.

  • "A really good place to stay."

Our host was very convivial. Well appointed, but a full-length mirror would be a welcome addition. The location was very good (nice and quiet) in a leafy road and just a 15 minute walk to the Beach. Rhos has all the facilities that you would need.( I recommend the Galleon Chippy). Easy access to the North Coast Expressway with most places of interest within less than an hour's drive away.

  • "The apartment was clean and comfortable and the welcome pack was very useful."

Lots of space for parking. Unfortunately, the family staying on the ground floor were very noisy. We were asked to be considerate of those downstairs in the welcome pack but we could hear lots of running around, talking very loudly and the washing machine was on at 11pm. When they were out, it was lovely and peaceful but our evenings were not very relaxing. It was a shame as it's a lovely place to stay.

  • "A comfortable nicely-furnished flat in a very quiet location - and with convenient car parking - Tanglewood is reasonably priced, and ideally placed for visiting the attractions of North Wales."

The bed was very comfortable, with no outside lights to disturb one's sleep. The only criticisms are that my partner would have liked a full-length mirror (it's a woman thing), and some more curtains! The lower ratings are for the fact that the grill pan was quite dirty (not necessarily the owner's fault, as previous guests have presumably used it multiple times without cleaning it in between, so that the fat had been carbonised. I did spend some time cleaning it, so that it was better than when we arrived), and there not being locks on the toliet and bathroom doors. Phil Jordan

It has recently been refurbished. There is an excellent family-friendly restaurant (Hickories) within 1 mile of the property and the grandchildren loved it. Tanglewood is an excellent base for touring the North Wales and Snowdonia area. Rhos-on-sea is a small seaside resort with a few small supermarkets, restaurants and the usual seaside shops. There is no parking charge for parking along the long promenade and sandy beaches.,unlike most other areas. It is worth being members of English Heritage as all the castles and sights owned by Cadw will allow free access with this membership.
