  • "Spacious for 2, bedrooms are a good size and comfortable."

Plenty of parking space and the bus stops right outside. Good location for visiting Caernarfon and Llyn Peninsula. In a quiet location within walking distance of coast. Assume the listed cloakroom/wc was behind a locked door- this would have been useful. As noted in previous reviews kitchen cleaning cloths should be provided and the garden could benefit from some attention.

Thank you for your feedback. There wc/ cloakroom located on the ground floor has a lock for privacy, but not an external lock, it’s a fire safety regulation door, so a little bit heavy and will of just required a firm push. The Gardner arrived just after your stay due to holidays and done a fantastic job, as we do like to keep the Garden neat and tidy. As mentioned on the phone, we apologised for the cleaning company forgetting to leave a sponge/cloth. But it was great to hear you were enjoying your holiday. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was clean and as described."

The bed in the master room was super comfy. When we had an issue and contacted Deborah she was really helpful. A minor niggle was the lack of loungers for the back garden . As the weather was nice we could not really relax at the back .The neighbours were friendly and helpful. The cottage was quite central to beaches , walks and shops. We had a great time , had great weather and would highly recommend the cottage to friends and family.

Thank you so much for your feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Great holiday home with quality finish throughout."

Comfy beds, nice towels and linen. Excellent kitchen as we like to cook. Overall really good location to explore North Wales. Local beach isn’t worth the c1 mile walk from the house as the very narrow lanes are pretty busy with cars. Shame the pub is closed for so long for renovation so no where nearby to eat. Looks like it will reopen in 2025 sometime. Found the charming little ‘honesty shop’ in the painted shed in the pub grounds, after chatting to a local. Bread, milk and other essentials in stock! Great farm shop for quality meat and bits of veg etc in the car park at Indigo Jones Slate Mine about 5 mins drive away. Overall really great holiday home base with great facilities, would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for a base to drive to explore from!

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back when the pub reopens! Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely but there were a few things that we all felt would make it better."

There was no hand towel or mat in the ensuite. No chair/stool/bin in the bedroom. The dishwasher wasn't working properly but my husband cleaned the jets and we put all the dishes through before using and no cloths to clean and the cupboards weren't particularly clean either. We really did enjoy our stay but feel the house needed a bit of tlc.

  • "The location and the house itself is brilliant, especially the beautiful views from the balcony room."

There is so much space and it is lovely and quiet with plenty of parking. The bed in the balcony room is large and very comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for cooking in. A utility room was a bonus, especially for dogs.

  • "Had a lovely week, the house was fantastic."

There was only four of us so the house felt massive as it would easily accommodate two families. The village is lovely, the beach is only a few minutes away by car and snowdonia is on the doorstep. It makes a great base to explore the area on foot or bike. The house had everything we needed and the balcony was a nice place to relax on an evening. The only negative feedback was that the garden was overgrown which wasn’t ideal for the dogs. Apart from that we were very happy and would definitely return.

Thank you for your lovely comments and so glad you enjoyed your time at Awel y mor! We were sorry to hear that the garden was overgrown during your stay, unfortunately there was a small delay with the gardener attending and they arrived shortly after you had left. However we hope to welcome you back to Awel y Mor in the future! Property Owner

It is a fantastic base for exploring out from and we had lovely days out in Llanberis, Nefyn, Criccieth and more. In terms of the facilities you could not ask for more and the shower has amazing pressure which is much needed after long days exploring. The check in was straight forward and we had no issues.

Great to welcome you back and so glad you enjoyed your stay once more! Thanks so much for your lovely comments and we look forward to welcoming you back to Awel y Mor again soon! Property Owner

All facilities were fabulous, there was nothing else we could have asked for. It catered for everyone and had more than enough space for all 7 of us and our 3 dogs. The view from the house is beautiful and being a 5 minute drive from such a beautiful beach was brilliant too. We would absolutely love to stay again and would like to say that this wonderful house is such a credit to the owners. Thank you so much!

  • "Beautiful cottage set in a lovely quiet village."

4 of us came to stay for a week with our little pooch Lou Lou. It was lovely to have an en-suite aswell as a main bathroom which gave us all plenty of room, the kitchen was well equipped and was a welcome change to have a generous fridge freezer which most places don't provide. There is a great little pub just a 2 minute walk across the road which is run by the community, they serve food and locally brewed beer and ales, we ate here one night and it was lovely. A nice private garden with furniture and a little patio such a pity we didn't have the weather to enjoy it more. Overall a great cottage in a fab location with a lovely walk to the beach which we did most days.

A big thank you for your fantastic feedback; I hope Lou Lou enjoyed plenty of space to run a round:) We always wanted this house to be a home from home, so it was great to see you appreciated your stay as much as we do when we stay. The Ty'n Llan pub seems to get better every time we visit; we also can't wait to stay again! Property Owner

Great beach short drive away which was quiet and dog friendly. Woodburner was not working which is made clear within the listing but I think if it could be repaired it would be a great addition definitely for the autumn / winter months. Definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a great stay.

Thank you for your review, and we are so glad you had a great holiday and loved our house. We also can’t wait for the Woodburner to be ready for winter; now that the Chimney has been repaired and re-potted, we can move on to the Woodburner being re-installed once tradespeople are available, so we hope this will be up and running by October/November, ready for the winter time for cosy evenings by the fire:) Property Owner
