We loved our stay so much, the children loved feeding the ducks, exploring the grounds and visiting multiple beaches that were only ever 10 mins drive away. We can’t wait to visit and stay at The Smithy again!

Owners very friendly and helpful, and we loved the resident ducks! Despite a rather wet week, we managed to get out and about exploring the island. Wonderful wildlife including Red Squirrels and a wide variety of birds, making it a peaceful and enjoyable break that we would highly recommend.

  • "Fantastic place to stay, nice and ‘out of the way’ but not far to drive to some lovely locations."

The cottage is beautiful, only draw backs being that by it’s nature it is quite compact so my tall (6ft4) other half found it awkward to stand and use toilet (sloping roof made it tricky to get close enough). The downstairs soft seating is 2 seater sofa that can squeeze a 3rd, single soft chair and beanbag, no issue for us as the kids were more than happy to settle on the bean bag. Perhaps worth considering a small shoe rack just inside the front door. We would not hesitate to come back! The hosts, grounds and cottage are wonderful! Thank you

Deri Fawr had a really welcoming atmosphere. Delighted to finally see a red squirrel along with all the other wildlife, including a woodpecker. Would definitely go back if we visit Anglesey again. The upkeep of the grounds and gardens you can see the hard work they put in and guests are rewarded with amazing wildlife by the many bird feeders. We had rabbits running pass the cottage and 3 waddling ducks came to greet us each morning. Would be brilliant for families & perfectly central location to see all parts of Anglesey.
