  • "Normal tv not available, had to be accessed via smartphone."

Not mentioned on Sykes website. (Not ideal for pay-as-you-go mobiles.) Crockery, pots, pans and cutlery had to be washed before use. All windows very dirty inside and out. Recycling boxes stored in inaccessible place ie very high steps at side of property. Not been emptied for some period of time. To sum up, probably the worst Sykes cottage we have rented. Obviously not checked by area manager.

Really sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I was aware the house manager was on hand to assist and unfortunately you were unable to get your phone connected to the tele. We are due to get an aerial but due to certain circumstances we are unable to until later in the year. The bins some how got mixed up as there is one for guests which is collected weekly which stands on the side and the personal ones are hidden down the side of the house. As for the other issues we have taken them up with the house manager and should prevent any future problems. Really sorry again for the series of unfortunate events which left you displeased with the house that we love and get so much pleasure out of. Property Owner
