No internet access. Rather more than a short walk to tawn centre and beach. Bathroom basin taps difficult to stop dripping. Holiday was most enjoyable, these are all very minor. H

  • "Lovely house which was perfect for us with 2 young children."

A brilliant location which was so peaceful after the hustle and bustle of Abersoch. I would say a 12 min walk is walking very fast! We had a buggy and it was about 20mins- the hill back being a ‘ killer’ after the a day at the beach, The house was bigger then expected from the photos and had everything we needed. The enclosed garden was very much needed with a 2 year old. Thank you for a great holiday and we hope to return one day!

  • "This accommodation is great."

It was in a perfect place for us to visit relatives who live nearby. It looks lovely and the sheep nearby kept us entertained. It was quiet and private and not far from Abersoch village although I doubt that you would want to walk into the village to eat at night. Parking space was excellent. We are a couple so had plenty of space and equipment. We have stayed here before and would certainly stay again. A few minor things need to be improved we think. The water from the hot taps is VERY hot. Dangerous if children are staying. A warning is needed. The quilt was very hot too for the time of the year. We had to borrow a lighter one. The bed was very comfortable although not much space to get out if a toilet visit is needed during the night. Some pans and crockery were not clean. We were not sure when the accommodation was last occupied but it was a little off putting. Disappointing as there was a dish washer. There was no dishwasher salt or rinse aid. I was not inclined to buy any as I have plenty at home and wanted to use the dishwasher only 3 times in one week. We dined out in a few wonderful restaurants! We know that the internet had been newly installed but didn’t manage to get it to work at all. We weren’t that bothered but others might be.

  • "The cottage was well laid out."

The welcome pack was well received. However there was evidence that cleaning was not as thorough as liked, dust under beds and on top of units. Freezer completely iced up and had to manually be cleared before use as wouldn't even shut. Lack of WiFi not great, would be beneficial

  • "Nice cottage, sun in the morning but in shade for most of the day."

The one frying pan was an omelette size frying pan. We bought a bigger one and donated it, along with a vegetable peeler that was missing. Overall very pleased, easy walk to the centre of Abersoch and beaches. The standard of cleanliness was adequate but the cottage had not been deep cleaned. There was dust on the bedside table and lamp and the edge of the bathroom floor was dirty, with dust on the skirting, when we arrived. We cleaned all this before leaving. I would not usually be quite so picky, but with covid I am definitely more aware of dust and dirt in shared spaces. We had a lovely holiday.

  • "The cottage is in a great location, close enough to walk into Abersoch or short car journey to other beaches."

The cottage has wonderful views over fields which had cows in them at the time of our visit. There is a lovely lawn to the front of the property which is great for children to play & yard to rear with washing line which came in very handy! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need & the supply of bin bags, washing tabs, hand wash etc was appreciated. The only criticism I would make was that the bedroom furniture was falling to pieces, and some outside comfy garden furniture would be good.

  • "We had a fantastic time in Abersoch using the cottage as a base for lots of walking."

The cottage had a very cosy homely feeling about it and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. The only negative about the cottage is that it would be nice to have a small welcome package I.e coffee, tea, milk, or something along those lines.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
