"The cottage and its location were lovely, and private, as were the views."
It's been unusually wet for end of May and the owner kindly offered us an extra night, unfortunately we had to decline due to commitments at home but would highly recommend, particularly if you have dogs, like walking and the beach ! Thanks again.

Cottage was ideal for visiting Llyn peninsula and the cottage was clean and tidy The owners were very obliging and it was lovely feeding the Alpacas The only issue I would raise would be if they could fix toilet to floor as every time you sit on it it moves

Not what I expected looked totally different on your photos on the website needs some cleaning especially around the hot tub area and the fence fixing at the bottom

"Truly magical cottage small and compact with everything you need."
The cottage was very cosy especially with the fire lit. The owners left instructions for everything and the bottle of fizz in the fridge was an added bonus! We took our small air fryer which i would recommend the owners to purchase as saved a lot or take yours with you!! Another suggestion would be a guest book to write your comments in

The hot tub is a bonus. Great walks around the area and a good variety of eating in and takeaways. Will return

"The cottage was a perfect little getaway for NYE."
Small and pokey but just the right size for 2 with a dog. It was in a great location, we done some great walks with our dog. We can only imagine how beautiful the area must be in summer. It was our first trip to Wales and we will definitely be back.

"Had a lovely stay at owl cottage, was private but the owners where on hand if needed."
It was 5 minute drive to the beach, which was lovely. Thoroughly recommend.

"The property and facilities were tip rate, especially the hot tub."
The local area was fantastic with plenty to do and nice walks to go on. The host was responsive and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back again as it made a perfect honeymoon get away.

"Absolutely spotless cottage."
The bed was comfy and high quality bedding. The area is peaceful and serene and is only a few minutes drive to the beach. High end quality with all facilities required for a weeks stay. Highly recommend if you want a perfect break.

"Lovely setting."
Peaceful but plenty to see a car ride away. Cottage was delightful. Had all the facilities we needed and the hot tub was great. Enclosed area around so it was safe to let our dog out without worrying she would wander off. Hosts were there if we needed them but not at all intrusive. Definitely recommend Owl Cottage.

"Lovely cottage nice and clean very cosy and our dog tilly loved all the nearby beaches"

"We had an amazing time at Owl Cottage."
The hot tub was awesome; definitely the highlight! We also loved that we could let our dog wander without worrying as the plot is completely enclosed. The location is fantastic on a beautiful farm, tucked right at the bottom with only the sound of birds chirping and sheep baa-ing! Visiting the Alpacas was a treat too. The walk to Hells Mouth is about 35 mins and is a spectacular wild beach. We loved that all the local beaches are dog friendly, even in the summer, which is not the case in places like Pembrokeshire. We were disappointed that the field at the bottom of the cottage was inaccessible as it was totally overgrown (it looked mowed in the pics); we would’ve liked to let the dog play there. I found the bed very comfortable but my husband struggled. The sofa bed wasn’t much better for him. All the amenities you’d expect, only missing a peeler for the carrots! The oven took some getting used to but there was an instruction manual to help. I assumed the lack of salt, pepper, sugar, tea and coffee is a Covid precaution so be sure to take your own. The Wi-fi only worked for one day while we were there, so we couldn’t use Netflix etc and there’s no phone signal. But tbh I love being cut off from the world on holidays like this and enjoyed watching normal TV and reading. Outdoor chairs were very comfy. There are washing machines in the building near the glamping should you need them. We would definitely return if it wasn’t for my hubby hating the bed!

"No just a great holiday"

"The cottage was comfortable, cosy and has every thing you need."
The hot tub was clean and very enjoyable after long walks with the dog. The outside decking area was lovely, we couldn't make the most of it with going in the winter, it would be ideal in the summertime. We will book again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Fabulous relaxing experience owl cottage is in an excellent location quiet and scenic the hot tub was great and the log burner perfect for this time of the year."

"On email received from vendors stated that their would be a dishwasher but none in premises, lots of modern appliances but no instructions of how to use I."
E. the microwave/oven spent over 30 mins trying to use it. Apart from these few things, the stay was very enjoyable, very clean, lovely secluded cottage. And not to far from local amenities. Hot tub fantastic. Host not intrusive but helpful. Nice touch with a bottle of prosecco on arrival.

"WOW!! You look at the building and its so small you worry its going to feel cramped inside"
. This is certainly not the case. Very well designed and decorated that it felt very spacious. The hot tub was definately the star of the show. Everyday i looked forward to getting 'home' pouring a glass of some bubbles and relaxing in the hot tub. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone and hope to go back one day!!

"This cottage is in a tranquil area, but not too far from Abersoch town."
It’s a a little haven and we will definitely will be staying here again. Cottage was spotless and very comfortable. Nothing negative to say as it was perfect.

"The owners were lovely and very helpful."
The cottage was beautiful and in a very tranquil setting away from all the hustle and bustle, it was a perfect place to recharge your batteries. At the end of a days walking it was wonderful to spend time in the hot tub with a glass of fizz. There are some amazing dog friendly beaches within a few miles and I would certainly recommend the area and the cottage to anyone

"Owl Cottage was fantastic."
The cottage is well presented, clean and comfortable. Angie and Derek are fantastic hosts, Derek was working hard on the farm land and didn't hesitate to show us around the land and feed the alpacas. Nice little touches too on arrival with welcome bottle of organic wine in the fridge and some lovely fruit cake laid on the kitchen worktop was a pleasant touch. Shower etc all working fine. As stated there is no washing machine, but hot tub was clean and fantastic and Derek monitors the water levels to ensure everything is top shape. Hosts don't disturb you either and are mindful that people are on holiday, but they always welcoming and any issues they encourage to call or text or even knock on their door just a few yards up. I'm sure we will visit here again as it was a lovely cottage and pleasant to stay in. In case you are wondering why it's called Owl Cottage, you can ask the hosts. There are Owls near the cottage and if you have never heard one before, you are in for a surprise! Overall, fantastic stay, good price and lovely hosts.

"This little cottage we stayed at was stunning!"
It’s tucked away at the bottom on a drive when driving down there is tall tree’s where you will see the tucked away cottage with it it’s own private stoned gated/fenced drive! It was so cozy inside, clean and comfortable we had everything we needed in the kitchen and they also have a bbq at the back in you wanted to have one. Village is not far plus that have have some nice restaurants. A pub down the road 1mile expects dogs there food is lovely! Beach is dog friendly all year round at hell’s mouth that’s only about 1–2miles. Hot tub was perfect after long days of walking! Owners very friendly have lovely friendly dogs if there own. This place was lovely I was so sad to leave but will definitely be returning again! Just need to book early. Would highly recommend staying here

"Owl Cottage is very clean and tidy, it has a very comfortable bed so we slept well every night."
It is very tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. The private hot tub was lovely, we spent a lot of time relaxing in it. As it is covered it can be used even if the weather isn't dry, which is good. Lovely little patio yard area with BBQ facilities. A great sun trap! It is worth mentioning that despite the cottage listing saying that there is WiFi, in Owl Cottage there is none. We also couldn't get a mobile phone signal inside the cottage either. A few yards up the driveway phone signal becomes available again! This can be a negative or a positive aspect of a holiday, depending on your point of view! But no WiFi when it says there is, is disappointing. Especially as Netflix could be used for free *if* WiFi worked in the cottage. We couldn't access the field adjacent to the cottage which was disappointing as we could have let our dogs run in there, but it was overgrown and inaccessible. It is also worth noting that although there is a good size fridge in the cottage, it doesn't have a freezer compartment. The hosts were friendly, I helped out with an alpaca trek one day which was a lovely experience. There was minimal contact with the hosts even though they live next door, which for us was perfect as we knew they were on hand if needed but not interfering. Guests might wonder why it is called Owl Cottage, despite no owl decor.....book a holiday there and you will find out for yourselves! Amazing!

"The interior of the cottage is very basic."
No storage space at all. All done on the cheap. The hot tub and outside area fantastic.
We are sorry that the cottage didn't live up to your expectations and we hope it didn't spoil your holiday. We can assure you that the cottage definitely wasn't done "on the cheap" as the quality of the granite worktops, constant hot water tap, Bosch combi microwave, log burner all demonstrate. All previous guests have been highly delighted with the cottage and we feel the photographs and description on the website accurately portrays the cottage. Property Owner

About the location
ABERSOCH
Pwllheli 6 miles.
The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
