The property

A traditional detached cottage in the village of Llangwm, near to Bala on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park of North Wales.

Retaining many original character features, such as fantastic original beams, with fantastic views from all aspects of the cottage, making a wonderful place for families or small groups of friends to get together.

On entering the cottage, you arrive in a spacious sitting room with a dining table and chairs.

Next to this is the well-equipped kitchen, with everything needed to prepare some lovely home-cooked meals.

With the dining area very close by, makes a great social place to prepare and enjoy at the same time.

On the ground floor is a single bedroom which is light and airy with a good-sized family bathroom next door.

The staircase takes you to a mezzanine landing with the extra flexibility of a double sofa bed, which then leads to the master double bedroom.

This is large and spacious with some fantastic original wooden beams and again with fantastic views of the rolling countryside.

From the mezzanine area, further steps take you down to a second sitting room with plenty of comfy seating in front of a welcoming woodburner, making a great place to relax in front of after a full day out and about exploring the area.

From the sitting room, French doors lead to a large patio area with plenty of lawned gardens; a great place for the kids to let off some steam.

Take advantage of some alfresco dining or just a relax with a glass of something chilled.

A few minutes’ walk takes you into the village of Llangwm itself which offers superb walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities amidst the surrounding countryside.

The popular resorts of Betws-y-Coed and Bala are both within easy driving distance offering a range of interesting shops, inns and restaurants and a host of outdoor activities, including rafting and climbing to name just two.

For a truly unique experience try Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog and the amazing Zip World to get a different perspective on the mountain scenery.

Whatever you decide to do, Ty Uchaf is an ideal place for a wonderful holiday at any time of the year.
