  • "First of all please don't follow Sat Nav,it leads to the wrong place."

The directions are a bit misleading, once you are on Lan Ganol, it is more like 2 miles before the Right turn, we ended up down a very narrow track! The Hob in the kitchen is not Induction, it is Ceramic. Overall it was a lovely spacious place with wonderful views, but spoilt by cheap bedding that did not fit properly For what we paid I would expect good quality 100% cotton linen.

  • "We recently stayed at your property and wanted to share some feedback regarding our experience."

Overall, we found the listing to be accurate, and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the efforts made to ensure these aspects. However, we did encounter a few issues during our stay: 1. Fire Alarm: On one morning, a fire alarm from another property rang in our accommodation, waking us up very early. Despite the issue not being with our property, we had no way to silence the alarm. It would be beneficial if there were a way to silence or manage alarms specific to our property once we’ve determined there is no risk. 2. Hot Water: On the second day, we experienced a lack of hot water. Although this was eventually resolved by a plumber, it was inconvenient. The boiler was locked away, preventing us from diagnosing or fixing minor issues ourselves without outside help. 3. Broken Toilet Seat: The toilet seat in the master en-suite was broken, and it was obvious that it had been in this condition for quite some time. While this may seem minor, given the high cost of the property, such issues should be routinely addressed to ensure a comfortable stay for guests. Thank you for considering this feedback. We hope it helps improve the experience for future guests. Kind regards, James

  • "Property is an absolutely fantastic building in an unbelievable location but unfortunately let down by maintenance and administration issues."

We arrived to receive a message that there was a blockage in one of the en-suite bathrooms and it was out of commission. We were informed a plumber would attend either the first or second day to repair it; despite contacting the agents on a number of occasions no plumber appeared. Yes, a first world problem, one of three en-suites being out of order but resulted in one couple being forced to constantly use the downstairs loo. Not what we paid top dollar for. Also disappointing that there was no information guide left for guests. As a result of this we had no idea that the apartment had access to a separate, private garden. Imagine how we felt when returning home to be told about the garden facility by the people who had previously stayed, and recommended the property to us. Instead we didn’t venture into the garden as it was occupied by children in the flat below playing football. The lack of information also meant that we had no idea how to use the various, impressive entertainment equipment to found in the apartment and as for the complicated Welsh recycling system, anyone’s guess. A really impressive property which, if everything was working/explained will provide excellent accommodation, just don’t expect the owner/letting agent to do anything to make your stay a pleasant or easy one. A real pity.

  • "We had a wonderful stay here."

It was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Amazing views. Comfortable beds. Overall a fabulous holiday experience. A few things which could be improved; Some larger mirrors in bathrooms and bedrooms, they were tiny. Bath mats. Duvets were too thick for summer, and felt cheap. Somewhere to hang coats. Clear instructions for the tv, it’s hard to use. Some information on recycling/rubbish, and how to leave property, etc.

  • "This is an exceptional property in an exceptional location - one of the best places we have stayed in, so peaceful and with wonderful views."

Well supplied with cutlery, crockery, dishwasher tablets, cleaning products and toilet rolls! Also, cleaned to a high standard. It would have been helpful if the site details included the DVD player and supply of dvds, plus several video games for the Xbox. The twin bathroom would benefit from extra rails for flannels and towels, but borrowing from another bathroom remedied that (the chrome on the base is a little rusty by the way). Top of our list of places to return to.

  • "It was an amazing place to stay."

We were surprised by its size, space and decor. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The views were incredable, no matter the weather. We spent a lot of time on the balcony just gazing at the mountains and the straits. The only downsides were the lack of instruction especially bins and no washing machine. With kids this would limit our stay there to no more than a week.

  • "The property combined stunning location, stylishness and comfort."

We never tired of gazing at the view of the mountains, different every day. The kitchen was very well equipped, the living area and bedrooms were comfortable and practical, and the bathrooms luxurious. The building was historically interesting too, and we would have welcomed more information about it.

  • "The property is fitted and equipped to a very high standard which together with fantastic views make for a wonderful holiday accommodation with one exception; the heating controls for the bedrooms and bathrooms."

The property has two Nest thermostats, one for the living space downstairs which can be fully adjusted in terms of timing and heat (great) and one upstairs controlling the bedrooms and bathrooms for which the owners declined to provide the pin code when requested and so only they can decide when the heating comes on and off (weird and uncomfortable)

  • "A nearly perfect stay but there are one or two observations: Really liked the chamfered wooden furniture."

The beds in the master bedroom and double bedroom were very comfortable Very useful to label all the remotes Where we think improvements could be made 1. The lighting in both bedrooms is poor particularly the bed side lamps. They are no use for reading. These lamps are for ambient lighting and not functional lighting. The lamp next to the bevel mirror in the master bedroom is also poor, difficult to see to put on make up. 2. There was no instructions in the guest pack regarding disposal of rubbish, bedding, how to use the tv the fridge freezer and telescope(didn't use it for fear of breaking it) 3. The TV is quite technical particularly if one is not used to a SKY TV and SKYQ box. There were no instructions on how to use it. I would have expected at least, to have a link to a website that takes you directly to a manual (not a general page) 4. Similarly with the heating system. Again no instructions As a minimum a website that takes you directly to a manual (not a general page) 3.There is not a thermostat/control in the master bedroom and access to the radiators is not possible so one cannot turn the heating up or down. 4. I think there needs to be few more easy chairs to enjoy the view - particularly in the tower areas - lounge and main bedroom. 5. Whilst the listing for the property stated there was no washing machine, I would have expected an iron and ironing board. 6. FYO - 2 bulbs need replacing in the chandelier above the first landing and the door bell does not ring. A lovely property is a lovely place to chill out and watch the changing light, the clouds and activity on the straits. We did enjoy out stay.

  • "Five Star Luxury - amazing apartment - not to be missed!"

This is our fifth stay at Bryn Mel Manor, our first at Straits View and my goodness, we saved the best till last! The views are spellbinding, to sit in the bay window every night just watching the changing light on the Straits and Snowdonia was something you will never forget. The owners have equipped the apartment with absolutely everything you could want. A small issue was sorted by the Owners immediately. The option for a 5 night stay for us was ideal and would welcome this opportunity to be available throughout the year as we would love to return in the Autumn.
