  • "A lovely 4 night stay at Plas Eithin."

Firstly owners really friendly and helpful (thanks for the rolling pin and bbq utensils) Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. Hot tub was great and clean. As others mentioned pool is open so had to be very vigilant with a 4 year old and 1 year old but a lovely feature which we would hope to use if we visited again. Beds comfortable and lots of seating indoor and outdoors. Could have done with more towels and bathmats to avoid soaked floors. All in all a lovely week and the weather was great x

  • "We spent a week at the cottage at the beginning of June."

As a family of 8 and 2 dogs the property was a good size and we did not feel squashed in. The rooms were a good size and beds very comfortable although there was as a slight smells of damp in 2 of the bedrooms. Having 3 bathrooms was great, showers were nice and hot with good water pressure. There are 2 kitchens in the property which are handy and a nice size family dining table so we had plenty of board games in the rain! The garden was a really good size for our 2 dogs and great that it was enclosed. It was a shame the slide and swings weren’t cleaned/ nettles weren’t cut back as our children would have enjoyed going on them but they had fun anyway as there was plenty of room for games. We enjoyed the hot tub and it was nice and clean, as people have said it might beneficial to try and put something over the pool if not in use for safety. The nearest little beach is about 20 mins drive. South stack lighthouse about 30 mins. We also had a trip to Beaumaris which took us about 40 mins. Overall we had a really nice time and would probably return/ recommend.

  • "The owners of the property couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming."

From us getting lost - to us running out of salt… This property has sooo much potential, but does need a little tlc Unfortunately we struggled with the heating and regulating the hot water to the property, equally the damp wasn’t great - however rainy wales isn’t known for its warm weather. As previously stated by other reviews you will need to enter and exit the property via the garden, which when wet is muddy. But two pairs of shoes in the car, and 1 for inside suited us. My mum has accessibility needs, but managed the level ground with ease. Which was hugely appreciated My main concern was for those, like us travelling with little ones .. the hot tub is beautiful. But access is right next to a deep pool, unlit and with no safety precautions. Other than knowing it’s there. We loved the house, the use of 2 kitchens and the hot tub, and especially the owners. But please put lighting and at least a ring by the pool. Especially if like us you visit when it’s cold and dark.

  • "The property is spacious and well equipped."

the welcome pack and Christmas decorations were a pleasant surprise on arrival. Whilst the property is pretty remote the postcode in the SatNav takes you right to the doorstep. Do not be put off by the track to the house. The weather whilst we were there was not good but the house was warm and inviting. The hot tub was huge and there is a swimming poo for those brave enough to use it. The owner who live within the grounds were very friendly and available if needed. There were a couple of downsides which we mentioned to the owners and they are looking to resolve. These were a lack of somewhere to hang coats and with the weather being wet the garden which you crossed for access was a bit boggy and could do with a path to stop mud being dragged into the house. All in all we had a great time and would recommend the property to anyone.

  • "We had an amazing stay at Plas Eithin."

The house was lovely & clean and the beds were so comfy & it had everything we needed for a family of 5. There were 3 really good sized bedrooms & 1 smaller room but it still had a double bed. 3 amazing bathrooms & 2 kitchens as well as a pool & hot tub. Will & Nettie were so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. The only thing to note is that it is generally a car ride to most places, however, this was never an issue as the house & location offers more than enough in itself. It was fabulous & so tranquil to sit out in the beautiful garden. We will definitely be returning and definitely recommend 5*

  • "We loved our time at Plas Eithin."

It was spacious but still very cozy. The beds were really comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub - and appreciated it being under cover as the weather was mixed. There was everything we needed here. The owners Wil and Netti were very warm, welcoming and helpful. Once you are on Anglesey, I would advise following the directions on the key collection information rather than the sat nav as it's much easier.

We couldn't possibly have asked for anything else. Thank you Sykes for providing us with this beautiful place!!! Looking forward to make a return trip! Just 1 point of concern may be ( nothing related to our stay) The 50 yard approach road to the place can be a little too bumpy. It needs patching up.

Will as a host have done everything for us that we'd hope and more. Very friendly and very good standard of very spacious accomodation. Beds/mattreses very comfy. Location is beautiful, quiet, secluded with lots of option for biking and walks. Clean jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool if one fancy a cold dip. I'd definetely come back and so would any of our 8 family members. Two things to notice: 1) Low celilings/door lintels, 2)Property could do with a dishwasher.

About the location

LLANFECHELL

Cemaes Bay 1.5 miles; Holyhead 15 miles.

Llanfechell is a small village situated one and a half miles from Cemaes Bay, on the northern tip of Anglesey in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village gets its name from the nearby 12th century Mechell Church, which has been extended over the years and where it is believed that St Mechell is buried. The ancient Parys mountain copper mines are seven miles away, with their lunar-like landscape and the area is popular with geologists and archaeologists due to the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the several ancient monuments scattered around, reputed to be some of the oldest in the world. Llanfechell is home to a village pub, which serves traditional ale with a warm welcome. Nearby, the pretty seaside village of Cemaes Bay is home to three pubs, a few shops, a natural sheltered harbour and a sandy beach, edged by grassy cliffs and ideal for safe bathing and family fun. The whole of the Isle of Anglesey is renowned for its miles of stunning and varied coastline, offering wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, along with birdwatching, excellent watersports, fishing and many quality golf courses.
