"A delightful, spacious and clean property."
We have just returned from a wonderful week. The property has everything that you need and all is clean and tidy, we will definitely be returning.
-
"Although the kitchen has been replaced, the rest of the property remains a little dated."
The whole property could do with a deep clean, just a whip round on changeover day isn’t acceptable.
-
"We enjoyed our stay in this nice spacious property in a lovely area, close to the coastal path and fabulous dog friendly beaches."
The local shops were within walking distance and there was a local Community Pub and everyone was so friendly. Possible the only thing missing were good local dog friendly eating places. As other guests have mentioned we did have workmen on site on a few days but they were friendly and courteous and did not cause us any problems at all.
-
"We had a lovely stay it was clean and the beds and sofas were very comfortable it did look like it had a nice court yard but it was full of work vans every day while they're doing an extension next door not happy at only being told at the twelfth hr."
It's in a good position for visiting all round the lyn peninsula and we were very lucky to have sunny week. The only thing missing was coat hooks there were nowhere to hang your coats and there was a piano in the corridor right outside the bedroom which is not a good place when goin to the bathroom in the night you can easily walk into it needs moving. Overall we did have a good time and would recommend this cottage.
-
"Our second stay at this lovely property."
Annex is spacious, comfortable and dog friendly. It is situated least than five minutes from the coastal path so a wonderful selection of walks nearby.
-
"The cottage is very spacious, comfortable and warm."
The coastal path is only a short distance away and there is well-stocked SPAR in Nefyn. We had a great week. Perhaps we should have known we should take dishwasher tablets and spare toilet rolls.
-
"Lovely cottage near the sea."
Spacious, warm and clean.
-
"We all enjoyed our stay and the dog too."
The place was lovely and lovely walks nearby and close enough to the shops. Perhaps the radiators could have been away from the wall a little to allow more the clothes to dry easier and the wireless broadband had to be switched off and on each morning for the internet to work.
-
"Our third stay at this well situated property."
It's been partly refurbished since our last stay and the changes are great. The new shower is superb as is the improved bathroom lighting and the new kitchen is smart and well organised. Being within easy walking distance of such a lovely beach is the main reason we keep coming back but as we feel so comfortable at Tyn Pwll we're already planning our next stay.
-
"We had a lovely quiet relaxing week and would definitely consider going back."
-
"Single beds squeaked every time you move."
Double bed needs a memory foam mattress or replacement. No toilet brush,no clothes line to dry clothes outside and there were no clothes pegs.WiFi worked for first day then never again. On a positive note the location was great for walking the coastal path very quiet at night. Would definitely return.

"I arrived to find the cottage to be part of a building site!"
Large overfilled skip at the front of the property and scaffolding obliterating the view from the cottage garden. Builders came on site at 8 am on the Monday to continue building work which was not acceptable! Especially as they were hammering and banging on the other side of the adjoining wall. Sykes contacted and owner arrived on site to try to sort out the problems. I agreed that the Builders could come back and tidy the site. They came back but continued to work with noisy equipment. More phone calls to Sykes. I came to an arrangement as to compensation. I was very disappointed to not be told about the building work prior to my arrival. This was not the relaxing holiday I was hoping for. I spent most of my first week negotiating with the Owner and Sykes. The Cottage was clean and comfortable and appreciated the welcome pack of wine etc. There is nowhere to hang wet coats and nowhere outside to hang wet beach gear. Internet worked when I first arrived but could not log on for most of my stay. Not a great experience!

"A spacious well equipped property."
We enjoyed our stay.
-
"The property was excellent, clean, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable."
We would definitely consider staying here again.
-
"Really top class property in a great location will highly recommend, the only thing I would say was needed is a back door mat."
Would not hesitate to book again.
-
"A charming spacious property in a marvellous situation, about 5 minutes walk from the coastal path."
-
"Lovely cottage with everything we needed."
Peaceful location ,a short walk from coastal path and cliff top. We walked the dog there every day and the views are stunning. Surrounding areas also lovely, we would go again
-
"We really enjoyed our stay at The Annex in Nefyn."
A beautiful and quiet spot with a gorgeous coastal path at the top of the lane. Lovely for dog walks morning and evening. The cottage is very comfortable, lovely comfy bed and big shower. We were so lucky with the weather in April and could sit outside in the sun. We met the owner and she was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the person who advised we could get to the beach through the town as it would have been inaccessible for me otherwise/ Black Rock Sands at Porthmadog is also good if you are unsteady on your feet.

"The cottage was very comfortable and has been partly refurbished and information is available regarding local resources."
The exterior of the annexe has been changed with both new windows and a wooden porch so it looks very different from the current sykes photo. It's worth advising people that a yellow stone wall is on the left after the entrance to the driveway. For those customers bringing dogs it's worth noting there are dog bins at the end of the lane near the post box and another one up the lane that takes you to the cliff walks and steep steps down to the beach. For easier access to the beach you can drive into Nefyn and turn left to the beach .There is car parking available and a boat slipway to walk down.
-
"The Annex is in a lovely quiet spot with easy access to beaches and coastal walks."
The property is clean and comfortable with most things provided for a pleasant stay. The kitchen has the facilities you would expect but a more comfortable seating /eating area would have been nice. A problem with the television was quickly sorted out by the owner.
-
"Lovely place to stay - secluded but very close to beach to the left and tap room to the right - plus shops and other amenities."
Really felt relaxed and comfortable.
-
"Great cottage."
Had everything we needed. Ideally situated between Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn with only a short walk to the coastal path and down some steps to Nefyn beach. Would be very happy to stay again. Very good value for money. Many thanks

"The owner communicated very well with immediate response when there was a trip in the fuse box."
We thought that additional plates and dishes could be provided as 4 of each is a bit limiting. It would be useful to have had some bathroom/toilet cleaning materials as none were provided. These are minor comments as overall our stay was extremely delightful.
-
"Lovely area to explore by car or walking as close to coastal path and public footpaths, we were lucky with the weather and went down to the beach every day (via some steps) Annex itself is very cosy and quiet."
We were 4 adults and felt we had plenty of space and would definitely like to return again.
-
"Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location for the coast path and beach."
A little dated in places but very clean and the owners are gradually updating. Enjoyed ourselves so much we will be back next year!
-
"A lovely comfortable cottage."
Wish we had had better weather to enjoy sitting in the back garden more! The lounge is large with plenty of comfortable seating. The shower is great. The piano was a bonus! 5 or 10 minute walk to the beach and the coast path with lovely walks in both directions. A great place for kids if the weather stays fine. Nefyn village itself is in need of a facelift but the Spar there had everything we needed. A convenient location for car trips out to all places on the Llyn peninsular. And a brewery/bar just across the road! The only real problem we had was in understanding the recycling bins - But the owner's mother in law helped us with that!
-
"Excellent, relaxing and peaceful stay."
Loved seeing rabbits on a daily basis.
-
"Lovely cozy cottage , perfect facilities for our two year old and big dog with a nice secure garden."
Enjoyed our stay and hopefully be back one day . Stacey, James , Oscar and Mishka .
-
"Enjoyed our stay in Nefyn, however Annex was not clean on arrival,it desperately needs a good deep clean!"
No heating, but that was sorted quickly. Front door locking mechanism broken. Missed welcoming pack which is always given by AirB&B.
-
"Another cosy week at the annex."
We wanted a quiet break for R&R and that's exactly what we got. Warm and comfortable property close to the beautiful beach. Although very much out of season we found a warm welcome wherever we went.
-
"A lovely cottage only a short walk to the beach."
Decor is a bit dated but the Cottage is clean and tidy. Outside area for dog to run around and play in. 15 min walk into town. Although there is a pub within 5 min walk. Lovely walks along the cliff and beach to the Tý Coch Inn. Limited opening hours. Cottage would benefit from a outside tap so you can wash dog down. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
-
"The communication from Sykes following the booking process is excellent."
We loved the location. It was very safe for our dog and within a few minutes walk of the town and the beach. Plenty to do if you wanted however we just chilled! We plan to return.
-
"This property definitely needs maintenance."
Front door has to be pushed/pulled to lock and has to be locked to keep it shut. Back door very stiff to open. General decor needs refreshing.
-
"The house is comfortable and generally clean, it’s however, there were a lot of cobwebs in corners and hanging from ceilings."
The house is very spacious and in a good location- a short cliff top walk to the beach. The decoration in all but the two bedroom and living room needs updating. The front door lock should be fixed- at the moment only one of the bolts works. The welcome basket was nice. It would be useful to have 4 chairs in the garden and for some general products, like toilet roll, washing up liquid, to be available in the property. Overall it was a comfortable stay and this part of the world is just beautiful.
-
"The cottage was clean but the decor was quite tired in places."
If the cottage sleeps 4 and has a garden there should be enough garden seats for four.
-
"We stayed at the Annex at the end of July 2021, two adults and two children."
The cottage was clean and had a nice welcome pack on arrival. We had none of the issues that I had read in previous reviews - the front door lock just needs you to pull the door closed properly and the wifi was excellent and having Sky was a bonus - with two children we definitely needed that! The beds were comfy, the sofas were fine, kitchen equipment as expected for a holiday rental - I think half the charm is not having everything as you would back at home and muddling through?!! Nothing to fault and would look to stay again. There is a great fish and chip place in Morfa Nefyn just up the road, and a great Spar in Nefyn itself which has everything you need for evening meals, etc. We had an Asda delivery booked on arrival and they found us with no problems. Would suggest booking ahead for local pubs/restaurants as they seemed to be very busy. We found it was a great location to visit the Peninsula - we were lucky for it to be hot enough to have beach days at Abersoch, Aberdaron and Porthor (great whilstling sand!) we also did local walks from just around the corner on the welsh coast path to Porthdinallaen and popped to Criccieth for the castle and Pwllheli (really not worth the time!!) It felt very safe, relaxing and we were sad to leave.
-
"A toilet roll on arrival would have been useful!"
Remote control for the television needed new batteries and also some brief instructions to work the television would have been useful. The welcome basket of wine and biscuits was appreciated.
-
"Lovely accommodation with amazing location."
Comfy beds and lovely lounge to relax in. Front door very difficult to access, lock not fitting correctly. Door over fridge extremely annoying and kept swinging to cover doorway. Coffee maker/ brewer would have been a wonderful touch and a cheap plastic patio set outside would have been great too as we had amazing weather but couldn’t sit in the garden to eat other than on the floor.
-
"The WiFi and internet signal was poor so although there was a smart TV the poor signal would not allow streaming."
Also the WiFi completely stopped on Tuesday. Many people today, us included, rely on WiFi to find local attractions and restaurants etc information. We have found this before in many rented properties. The decor of the property was quite run down and no information anywhere. I know covid has meant a lot of tourist brochures to be taken out of properties but there were no information sheets about how to use the heating, contact info in case of problems. Also the front door lock was very difficult to open, having to jiggle the key and pull door handle towards you. Sometimes we were trying for a few minutes to get in.
-
"A little bit of info on surrounding facilities and things to do."
-
"Great location for exploring the peninsula"
