  • "A beautiful little cottage, tastefully furnished and decorated."

It was spotlessly clean throughout and well-equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

  • "Lovely little cottage."

Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Nefyn has a lovely beach and coastal walks. We used the local spar for essentials and it is well stocked. Loved the welcome bits. Would certainly return.

  • "Charming and comfortable little house, not far to the beach and the hills."

We walked a lot in the beautiful surrounding landscape, and it was a good spot for excursions around the Llyn peninsula, such as Aberdaron or Criccieth. Nefyn itself isn't very interesting, but not far to go to other nice places. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious, next to big a window-door looking out in the little backyard - but we missed a teapot, and the frying-pan needs to be changed - otherwise everything was perfect. A good modern bathroom and two bedrooms on the 1st floor, another one at the top of the house - with the best bed. Unfortunately we couldn't crawl up the small stairs to the top, so my wife and me took the front bedroom. PLEASE get a new mattress for that bed, it is really old and worn out (and very uncomfortable). Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay in Bodefi, very cosy - even our dog liked it. Also good to have room for the car in front of the door. Very nice of the owner to give us milk, teacakes and wine!

  • "The property was well equipped and very clean."

The only negative comment was that there was no hair dryer. All other properties we have rented included one. Luckily I had packed my travel hair dryer.

  • "Beautifully clean, very well equipped, comfy beds with lovely fresh bedding."

Light, airy.. lovely cottage. Close to a shop. Village very quiet... would be great to see a dog friendly pub there and maybe a bakery for fresh bread, pastries, etc. Great for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing break away. Ten minute walk/3 min drive to nearest quiet (small, free car park), dog friendly beach and beautiful scenery.

  • "Would have given 5 stars but we had to call to sort out the heating and still didn't find it particularly warm in the living area as one heater didn't come on until 5pm."

Generally loved the property and it was super clean with nice furnishings. A jug would be helpful in the kitchen, also your response to our enquiry about a cafetiere said there wasn't one and in fact there was! It would have saved us bringing our own.

  • "Really clean and well presented - a starter pack for the stove would have been a great help as we arrived in the pouring rain after a 7 hour journey, however the wine and goodies were a great welcome!"

  • "Bodefi is a lovely, spacious house and we really enjoyed our stay."

It is welcoming, light and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and plenty of storage space. The towels, bed linens etc are of a good quality and the bed was very comfy. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The parking space right outside is a real bonus and the outside space, though small, is a nice place to sit. There were lovely welcome gifts waiting for us on arrival which is a thoughtful touch. We would be very happy to return.

  • "Beautiful cottage, perfect base for visiting Abersoch and surrounding area."

Clean and well presented. Only thing I would say is missing is an extra cupboard to store food as kitchen cupboards were already full with plates etc. wouldn’t recommend for young children as quite a dangerous staircase and not sure stair gates would fit.

  • "The property is lovely."

Beautifully decorated and great location. The garden is an issue if you like to sit out. It is like being in a cave. The house at the side has an elevated garden at around first floor level to Bodefi. Noise from the family at the back is amplified because Bodefi patio is lower and surrounded with stone walls. However, we simply did not use the garden and kept the bifold doors closed. Two minute walk to the beach so tended to go there instead.

  • "We had a brilliant stay at Bodefi."

The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived, with a welcome pack waiting for us too. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we appreciated the Smart TV in the first bedroom for Netflix etc. The attic bedroom was particularly lovely and on a clear night we could see the stars. The kitchen was well equipped, the only slight inconvenience we found was there were no free cupboards for putting food in that we brought, but that was only a minor point. The living/dining room was cosy and comfortable, and the log burner was great for the evenings. It could do with some equipment adding for safety (fire pokers, tongs, brush etc.) for tending to the fire, as the only thing provided was fire proof gloves. The starter pack of fuel was much appreciated, thank you. The bathroom was lovely and clean, with a nice big bath. As a previous guest has said, a blind in the bathroom would be a good idea for privacy, because it felt overlook from next door, especially with the window open! The cottage is superbly located in a quiet location in the village and for the beautiful beach, which is only a 10 minute walk away. The village is lovely for a stroll around too, and has a number of amenities. We would definitely return to the property in the future.

  • "Bodefi is a lovely, comfortable modern cottage recently redecorated to a high standard."

The check in process was easy and the owner kindly phoned to check we had arrived safely. The weather in this region of Wales was chilly, being mid January, but the heating in the cottage was excellent and we had winter sunshine all week so were able to get out and about! There is a Spar store a short walk away and parking on the driveway is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

  • "Lovely property in a great location, really handy for beaches, shops and pubs."

Great to have the welcome of some supplies, until we were able to get to the shop. We had a great stay, despite the rain. We couldn’t find an information book in the property, which meant that we weren’t sure about bin/recycling collection and instructions for WiFi and heating etc… Also, no washing machine in property, with young children spending time on the beach and all the rain we had, a washing machine would’ve been a distinct advantage. Having said that, I would still recommend Bodefi as a great base for a holiday in North Wales.
